"Stopped by here on my way home to pick up dinner. Plenty of parking outside, which was great. The outside and inside are also cute and very authentic themed. Service was fast and efficient. I ordered at the counter and within 5 minutes I was walking out the door with my food.I ordered soft tacos (chicken and carne asada). Both were delicious. Also had the chips and salsa, which was a really generous portion. I was very full afterwards. Very solid mexican food option and I will definitely be coming back!!"

Didn't think anything of it.Hubby ordered sopes and churros and he didn't care for his sopes because it was too soft. The churros was the best part.My guava margaritas was ok as well.In the middle of the night I felt weird like acid reflux I guess. I never had it before. Had to puke those taco juices up. Food: They start you off with freshly fried chips, yes please!Guacamole was good, with a nice fresh flavor. The cheeses enchiladas were good, sauce was light and flavorful without spiciness. I wish there a bit more cheese but the flavor was worth it. The veggie burrito was YUM! The vegetables were lightly cooked which resulting in a taster crisp bite. "Taco Goodness from a legit hole in the wall you soo know I'm always down for that and let me say it didn't disappoint!So out of all the delicious choices I totally went for some of the birria tacos with the consome as that's just like one of my favorites to get anywhere and I must say it definitely was super delicious in every way as it kinda reminded me of the recipe I make at home and for me to say that says a lot as it's all about that bold flavor which is exactly what can be found here!The tacos were perfect the meat was very tasty then dipped into the consome to add even more flavor just hit the spot in that many more ways for what's totally good!The salsa here was also very tasty as they had an avocado one which is like one of my favorites to get as not everyone does that and it just added sooo much more to something that was already yummy as it wasn't too spicy but wasn't too mild it was just right!They also had horchata here too and that's always like my go to Mexican drink because I just love that flavor very much so and here it was done that right as well!The staff working was very nice as well as very quick which is always a plus as it's just cool when you come across nice people.Don't forget to scan the QR Code on the wall for something awesome to show that Yelp Love!Overall super yummy tacos that really hit the spot on this given night for soo many flavorful reasons it's with that I hope to make it back here again someday because they were honestly that good!"

"After a few drinks at 3 Daughters, we were getting a little hungry so we decided to take a short walk to the Floribbean.Here's my take on the experience:Quality of food: Good. You get to pick 3 sides to make a bowl or you can go with their signature bowls. We tried two of their signature bowls: Island Umami and the Yardbird. The Island Umami comes with smoked paprika chicken, coconut rice, chipotle sweet potatoes, sweet plantains, and miso sauce. The Yardbird has basically the same ingredients except for black beans instead of sweet potatoes and Jerk aioli instead of miso sauce. Both bowls were absolutely bursting with flavors and the portion size was huge! I would suggest splitting a bowl with someone next time especially because that coconut rice is super filling.Décor: kinda cool but could use more. They had a couple of little hula girl decorations made out of coconut. There wasn't much besides that other than the tables were also colorful.Cleanliness: okay. The tables were being kept mostly clean.Service: okay. The person taking the order was also the one that would create your bowl. They only had two people working on a Saturday night and both looked super tired and stressed.Price: reasonable. The bowls cost around $12 but the portion size is huge.If you're up for some healthy-ish food that's a little different than the usual then checkout The Floribbean."

"Visited this place once years ago before I was in Yelp and couldn't remember whether we liked it or not. So we tried it last night. The restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping center and is easily missed. The restaurant looks great with plenty of seating for large and small groups and outdoor and indoor seating available. We were seated immediately with a large menu put in front of us. We put in our order and waited. The chips and salsa were nice and tasted fresh. Then our meals came. I ordered a shrimp dish cooked in tomato,onion and garlic sauce. The shrimp tasted fishy and tough like after being frozen for too long they overcooked them. The wife got chili relano and it was soggy and tasteless. She also ordered a toastata and it was cold. Not just room temperature but like refrigerated cold. With so many good Mexican restaurants in the area this is one that I won't miss. If you have seen many of my reviews I rarely write bad reviews but I can't find anything about this place that I would recommend for anyone else and I certainly won't be coming back."

When we pulled up, we noticed how packed the place was, luckily we were going to order our food to go. We ordered at the counter and we were told maybe 20 minutes until it was ready. I'd say we waited about 15 minutes.Once home we busted open the food and dove in. Man it was all so tasty. The Carnita was the star of the show, man that pork was so tender and marinated perfectly. We also ordered the Birria Burrito. This burrito was phenomenal, and packed full of flavor and the short ribbon was so tender. The consommé severed with the burrito paired perfectly with the burrito. We had to try the Elotes off the cobb too. It was very tasty and served as an excellent compliment to our meal.We will for sure come back again. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent."

They plan to put a dance floor with a DJ and I plan on bringing all my friends from South Tampa to try Latin music. "I'm always on the lookout for fresh, authentic Mexican food. Seriously, if I see tacos on the menu that have lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese on it I know it's not authentic Mexican food. Give me the small ones on corn tortillas topped with cilantro and onion with radish and lime on the side and I know I've hit the jackpot! Anyway, the food here was so delicious that I'd probably go so far as to say this was one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten at. The tacos were great but the tostadas I ordered were simply amazing. The steak was marinated and so tender and the crema and cotija cheese, avocado and crispy tortilla made for the best textures and flavor with each bite. It was served with a side of rice and beans that were also delicious. The guacamole and homemade chips here were outstanding. The prices were SO reasonable.The restaurant was very clean and the staff couldn't have been any friendlier. I really wish this restaurant wasn't so far from where I live but I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. If you are craving Mexican food and or ingredients for your own dishes you won't go wrong visiting this gem of a place. One detail of note here is the large butcher shop that they had. One of my tacos was beef cheeks. Super tender and flavorful do I wanted to see if they sold beef cheeks and sure enough they did. I certainly will be back."

But sometimes you just want Tex Mex. A place that puts the basket of hot fresh chips on the table with homemade salsa, no charge. Good service. Decor that takes you back. Your reliable entrees with the fixins. That would be Carmelitas. It's celebrating 40 years. I brought Spanish classes here many years ago. It was a great time then and still is now. Live mariachi on the weekends. Great lunch specials. Now many locations. This one is just nostalgic for me. Go and get your Chimi, enchilada, burritos, and fajitas on."
