"What a delicious and authentic Turkish meal we had at Bayshore Mediterranean Grill in Tampa! Here's what we ordered:~oven-baked hummus- hummus with mozzarella cheese, butter, and baked, served with lavash bread (which reminded us of a balloon!) The bread was so fresh and piping hot when it came out. Dipping that in the sizzling, cheesy hummus was a perfect bite. ~Mixed cold small-combination of hummus, babaganush, haydari, and soslu patlican (eggplant). This was a MUST ORDER. Every spread was incredible, but the babanush and soslu patlican were my faves!! ~Arnavut Cigeri (liver cubes)-tender beef liver cubes floured then fried and pan served with herbs. A classic Turkish dish~Sausage and cheese pie- kind of like a Turkish pizza, but better! homemade crispy crust topped with Turkish sausage and mozzarella. The cheese pull was excellent and I really enjoyed the flavor of the Turkish sausage. L~Bayshore mix grill-chicken shish, lamb shish, lamb and chicken kofte, lamb Adana, and doner with salad and rice. This platter was a meat lover's dream! The meat was so flavorful!~Iskender-one of my fave Turkish dishes! layers of Doner served over crispy pita bread topped with chefs special tomato sauce and yogurt. All of the ingredients work so well together~Kunefe-this is my fave dessert and they didn't disappoint! shredded filo dough stuffed with cheese, soaked in sugar baked syrup and served hot. I'm obsessed with cheese and it even works in dessert-form! ~Baklava- an obvious classic. Theirs is so crispy and rich! You need to check Bayshore Mediterranean Grill out if you're looking for some of the best Mediterranean food we've had!"
"Still one of my favorite places to eat. My husband says I nod my head when I'm enjoying good food. I'm basically a bobble head while eating food from here. My dad is in town so I've been sending him different places to grab take out for us. This is one of those places and my favorite of all of them. Here's what we got and what I thought. Pasture Raised Lamb Kafta Kabab Plate - so my go to has always been the Baba Ganous Ma Lahme, but this may have that one beat. The lamb was so tender (I actually cut it with a spoon) and so flavorful. Also, I'm usually not a fan of hummus, but this one was so good that I may get it as an appetizer next time. The salad that it comes with is also delicious.Baba Ganouj Ma Lahme - this never disappoints. I love their baba ganouj and same as above, the salad was delicious. I actually also got an appetizer of baba ganouj, which I would probably switch out for hummus if I get the baba ganouj mah lahme next time, just because it was a lot of bab ganouj. That being said, their baba ganouj is delicious. We also got an appetizer of grape leaves. This one wasn't my favorite, it was a little too tart for my taste buds with minimal filling, but I think this is just my own taste and I don't doubt that others would love it. Yes, their dishes are a little more expensive, but it's because of the quality. I can seriously taste the quality in every bite. That's worth the slightly higher prices to me. I haven't picked up in a while, but when I did the women working the register (who I assume are the daughters of the owner) are always a delight. They are so personable that you can just tell this place is locally owned and operated. There's some restaurants that you really root for and for me, this is one of them."

"The food is amazing, the venue as ambiance are so amazing and beautiful this feels like an upscale restaurant without the upscale prices. The mussels left a lot to be desired, but the Athenian Salad and the calamari were AMAZING! This is the BEST salad! I'll come here more often! Our server was also very attentive and kept it fun and light. Happy hour with half price appetizers is a steal. Go!"
"The food is always very tasty and the service is great. I first came with a friend a couple of years ago and it was enough for me to go back. My partner and I get the plate that has meat variety, kibbeh, pita, salad, and hummus when we order from here. It's very good, have recommended this to others. Thanks for the great food and service."
"This is a small sandwich shop located in the basement of an office building in Clearwater on Laura StreetThere were no signs to find it so we walked around the office park for a few times, and then called the restaurant. The restaurant inside is pretty shabby, but the food was very good flavorful. We had the falafel, which is fresh and homemade. We also had the Shawarma little dry and crunchy. But the portions were generous, and the service was friendly."
"My friend brought me in because she said the food is soGood. And she was right!! So fresh and great tasting. The staff was so friendly and welcoming when placing the order. Plenty of seating to dine in. They give you a number to place on your table and they'll bring the food to you. Soda fountain is self serve. We got the chicken schwarma and the vegetarian grape leaves. Both must amazing flavor. I did like the chicken dish better than the grape leaves. Highly recommend! And I'll definitely be back when in the area."
"I still maintain this place makes their food with love. It's nice seeing the owner is the one manning the register. She is super sweet and kept checking in to make sure we were good. I always much rather support a place that is locally owned and operated. This time I tried the beef schwarma bowl and we got the appetizer sampler (it came with baba ghanoush, hummus, falafel and one other dip I've never had before. Out of the four I loved the hummus the best and next time I'll get an appetizer of just the hummus. The falafel was also good. I wasn't the biggest fan of the baba ghanoush, which I normally love, but I think this is just a preference thing. This baba ghanoush is more chunky than smooth). The beef shawarma bowl as delicious, I really enjoyed it. My coworker got fries with her chicken shawarma sandwich and I got to try the fries. They were freshly cut and very good. They weren't greasy at all. If you have the opportunity to try the fries, I'd highly recommend it.This place is small, but it seems like there is enough seating if you want to dine in. Most people were grabbing their food to go. This place is pretty cheap, so it's a great deal for the quality."
"Updating my review from 4 years ago: still awesome! I just really love everything I've tried at this restaurant. The food is always fresh, the service quick, friendly, and efficient, good sized portions of food, and very reasonably priced. My most recent visit I tried the Chicken Shawarma platter, and it was wonderful. Normally served with a garlic sauce, he substituted tzatziki when I requested it, which made it perfect. The chicken was carved straight off the rotating spit and heated on the flat grill, and was served with a small salad and hummus. Their hummus is really creamy and delicious. The platter is also served with a pita - keep in mind this is not the fluffy pita you're used to, but a Lebanese style large, almost flat pita, which is perfect for tearing apart and scooping up your food. Make sure to treat yourself to a piece of baklava for dessert - it is fresh and crispy and just the right amount of sweet. No real ambiance, but booths are available if you want to sit inside and eat. Totally a hidden gem, and I'll definitely be back."
"This place is an absolute gem--truly one of the best Mediterranean experiences I've ever had! We ordered the grill sampler, and let me just say, the portion size is double my face! SO MUCH MEAT. Every single bite was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. It's a carnivore's dream come true.We also tried the pide with meat and cheese, and wow--talk about a masterpiece. It tasted like a spiced Mediterranean pizza, and the size? It was literally the length of my arm! The complimentary bread was divine too--fluffy, warm, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Everything was made with so much care, you could taste the quality and tradition in every bite. The ambiance is unique; it feels like a market that's been transformed into a bustling restaurant. But that only adds to the charm--it's busy and vibrant, which is always a good sign. The staff? Absolutely incredible. They were so friendly and accommodating, even with how packed the place was.For dessert, we grabbed baklava and kazandibi to go, and both were phenomenal. The baklava was buttery, flaky, and sweet without being overwhelming. The kazandibi was a creamy, dreamy delight. They made for the perfect ending to an already amazing meal.On top of everything, the value is unbeatable. The portions are so generous, you're guaranteed leftovers, and for all that food, we spent just $84. Other places would charge easily over $100 for this kind of feast. Istanbul Mediterranean Grill and Market is a stunning experience from start to finish. I can't wait to come back and try even more of their menu!"
"Came in for lunch with hubs. It's located in a small plaza on the end. When we arrived there was plenty of seating and we were greeted and sat immediately. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Also very attentive. We ordered the appetizer sampler to get a tasting of a few of the options--including grape leaves, falafel, hummus, baba ghanouj and labaneh. I also ordered the Moroccan mint green tea. The grape leaves and falafel were both just ok. Grape leaves were very small and didn't have much stuffing and the falafel I thought was a bit on the toasty side but still good and enjoyable. The best was the hummus and baba ghanouj with the warm pita bread served with it. I ordered the chicken shawarma which came with a side salad of cucumber and tomato with I love. Chicken was so flavorful! The green tea was served on an adorable tray with a full pot and 2 cups. Presentation is outstanding but the pot was all metal and with the boiling water inside even the handle to the pot was so hot you couldn't touch it. I had to wrap a napkin around the handle to pour the tea into the cups provided. The cups were actually glasses and once again, although beautiful glasses, I couldn't hold the glass with hot tea unless I wrapped the napkin around the glass. Just something to think about would be to either change to actual tea cups and a better tea pot that the handle doesn't get hot or get special covers for the pot handles to help guests pour without getting burned. Overall food was great!"
"Freshest Mediterranean food around! Absolutely delicious. Order the beef shawarma for sure. Cooked and seasoned in heaven. The hummus is amazingly fresh and the best I've eaten including making my own at home. It has a very tahini forward flavor profile. Hubby loved his lamb rice bowl. We left full but not weighed down. I have leftovers for lunch! We will 100% be back!"
"What a beautiful little spot with amazing food options, which I am to understand they change the menu weekly. The service was beyond GREAT! Food came out quickly and served hot.I am a lover of Greek/ Mediterranean food.. to have so many options and to share with your dinner party is so much fun! This place has indoor and outdoor seating the is beautifully decorated and makes this spot so quaint. It's definitely a VIBE. We had all the MEZZE options and loved every bit of it. I cannot wait to return to Tampa to visit this little spot. Baba on Central is definitely a YELPING GOOD EATS!!!"

The chicken here is otherworldly.... It is so so good. The pita was amazing. The house salad wasn't my favorite, tasted too healthy. Service was great, if I were in the area I would come here a lot

First time here. First they bring out pita and Greek yogurt with olive oil. Delicious and a great start. Next we got calamari and octopus. Calamari was very lightly breaded and had nice seasoning. Not greasy at all. The marinara sauce was nice and sweet. The octopus had to be one of the best I ever had. Was so tender fell apart in your mouth. It also had the right amount of char to it. Was served in an oil and vinegar sauce with diced tomato's which was lovely. For our main course we had Acropolis seafood with pasta. A great dish. All the fish was cooked perfect just a fun dish to eat. Our server was also outstanding. Will be back

We had lunch at one of our favorites today. It had been way too long since we visited. The Best Falafel I've ever very had and definitely get the Platter as it comes with almost all of their wonderful sides: hummus, grilled eggplant (nice char), hummus, tahini sauce, eggplant dip and Israeli Salad (cucumber, tomatoes, lemon juice and Olive Oil).We also tried the Chicken Schnitzel this visit. It was great quality chicken, crispy with a great breading to meat ratio. Great customer service as well as being family owned business. Everything is so fresh and delicious. It's a bit tucked away in the bottom of an office building but make sure you do find them and thank me later

Staff were courteous and we decided to share as they give you large portions. The chicken & beef kabob was very good the shawarma was very dry. The salad was delicious with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion with a nice dressing. The toom sauce was delicious and the tahini not so much. Falafel was hot, fresh and had a great flavor - very crunchy. Their prices are a little high but the portions are large! Great place!

We were driving on Central Ave. looking for a bite. There's lots of restaurants, but on a Monday, many may be closed. This spot was open, the price was good. There was a nearby parking spot, and a few outside spots to sit, so we were in. Inside, you can tell is a bit old. Walking to get to the back is a bit disorganized. Girl working up front was very nice and friendly and the owner helped us put the umbrella up outside. Food wise we ordered beef kabobs cut in huge chunks, chicken schwarma cut in tiny bites, and best was the baba ganoosh. Two stars bc it was mostly rice like mostly RICE. You get what you pay for. Rice-a-roni!

An explosion of great flavors in every bite. Fresh and delicious food, with very pleasant and quick service. Generous portions, and lots of options on the menu. The atmosphere is decidedly casual, and well traveled, but you're there for three food, and it's definitely worth a trip!I had a traditional Gyro, and it came with a mound of meat, tasty sauce, and fresh veggies on a puffy pita. My wife had Shawarma, which also had fantastic flavors and was a huge serving of food. Definitely recommended!

"Our favorite lunch place at the #spongedocks in #tarponsprings. The chicken pita is delicious albeit a bit messy And their Feta fries are perfectly crispy, drizzled with a light lemon sauce, then generously Sprinkled with Feta and Oregano; absolutely craving worthy. They also do Plain fries, Garlic fries and Greek fries as well as Beer Battered Onion Rings (need to try those sometime but how do I justify them and the Feta fries )Everything is so fresh and made to order, very nice people and outdoor only seating with a nice view of the boats moored and the Anclote River. They do only take cash but there is a universal ATM by the ordering window if you forget. Afterwards go for a stroll or shopping along the Sponge Docks. Makes for a perfect afternoon especially this time of year"
"Very fresh and great flavors. Everything cooked to order. There is a wide variety of meals to choose from. They also have large family meals. The pita bread was very favorable. Great location!"
"Friendly staff and clean environment. It's a Lebanese chef using fresh ingredients to make delicious dishes. Menu has A wide variety, having options for everyone. The peppers they used are soaked in vinegar and give an extra tang to the dishes. The mint lemonade was so refreshing. Definitely a place to try."
"We ordered Greek salad, spanakopita and appetizer of Doka. Also drafts beer, 2 for 1 all day. Limited selection (Bud, Shocktop or Amber bock) Service is slow, atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The Doka was unexpectedly tasty, the shredded pita added a lovely nutty flavor. The salads were a fantastic blend of lettuces and vegetables- the potato salad was nicely done- nothing especially overpowering in tastes.Spanakopita was the absolute piece de resistance- delicious blend of spice, lemon and cheese - At the end of the meal, I was happy and will definitely come back to Costas!"
"We met here with our friends for a pre thanksgiving gathering. The service was excellent, and the food was so good. The baked hummus is a hit! Its not a big eatery, so the armosphere is cozy and friendly, and I know that I will be back to eat more of their amazing food."
"This may be the saddest review I have written. Truly Greek was one of absolute favorite places in Tampa. It had been two months since we were last there so my wife and I went there for dinner tonight. I was saddened to learn the business had been sold 3 weeks ago. I loved the old owners. They did such a wonderful job and you truly felt like a guest. Their beef shawarma wrap was my go to meal in Florida. There was nothing I didn't love about Truly Greek except they served Pepsi. So, I was a bit apprehensive when I learned of the change. Overall, I will say Truly Greek is still good. The beef shawarma was slightly, I don't think the spices blended quite as well. The tahini was almost mayonnaise thick, so it didn't pour as well into the wrap. The wrapped uses to be cut in half and had more meat with a bit better flavor. When mixed with the tahini, it was life changing. This was not that. The caesar salad was actually very good and I really like the dressing, which seemed to be new. My wife's greek salad looked as good as ever. The service was fine, but not quite as attentive or as welcoming as before. This is to be expected since the owners were the ones who worked the restaurant previously. Will I eat there again, probably, but the shawarma has changed and that breaks my heart. It was 3.5 stars tonight, but I gave it 4 stars because the owners are new."
"Delicious! Ate in on a Sunday night and food was great and always a great price. I will be ordering more from Cedars this year for sure!"
"The ambiance is nice but lacking somehow. I am all into decorating according to the type of restaurant. We basically were waited on by two gentlemen who were both extremely nice and attentive. Now for the food...... it's awesome. The beef is tasty. The chicken is very well seasoned and tender and the lamb is cooked just right. The hummus is plain but very good and so is the baba ganoush. The salad is also flavorful. I do not like cilantro but it was so tasty I ignored the cilantro. We had the walnut baklava and another tasty treat though not sure of the name and they were both yummy. If you are in New Tampa this place is definitely a must try!!!!"
"This restaurant is delicious! The menu is full of Turkish favorites, Mediterranean classics and even some Italian fare (which we did not sample). The bread and dipping sauce they bring to the table is next level. Homemade and fresh from the oven. Incredible! Be sure to order hummus to also enjoy with the bread. The chicken kebabs and the salmon special get rave reviews from me! The vibes are fairly low.. Pleasant. But low. This place is more about the food than the ambiance. Better than the reverse, right?"
"We finally stopped in and were not disappointed! They give you complimentary hot Turkinsh tea and bread with dipping sauce. All were fantastic! We ordered the cold 3 app sampler. We got hummus, their version of taziki, and Dolmades. The Dolmades are the best I've ever had!We got the Mixed Grill which serves 2-3 people. Needless to say we had plenty of leftovers. I recommend getting double rice for your 2 sides. The rice was moist and had a hint of cinnamon to it. We shopped the adjoining store when we were done and picked up a pack of their scented wet hand towels they give you with your bill. It's the little touches they do that made our experience special in addition to the amazing cuisine. We will be back!"
"They totally deserve 5 stars based on the service and quality. I'm going back for more of that jumbo fried shrimp. Heck, I'll even go back for their regular size shrimp. It was so wonderful! The batter and frying technique is everything. The shrimp and fries were seasoned so well. I'm still craving this shrimp. It was super hot out of the fryer so let it cool off before you take that first bite. But it's so worth the money. I could have shared this with my husband. It was such a large quantity. There were about 10 jumbo shrimp and a ton of thick cut fries.I decided to drop in for lunch based on Auyanna's review. I totally agree with her. The staff was so friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. I was given cocktail sauce for the shrimp, but I didn't need it at all. It was tasty by itself. They have plenty of booth and table seating. The restaurant is clean and roomy. This whole experience makes me want to go back and try other menu items. Maybe a fish and shrimp combo next time. Don't even ask me about their Mediterranean food. I'll have to update this review after I finally try it. I was also surprised to see the coconut lychee drink. It was very good for a bottled SaVia drink, and they had many flavors. It even had little pearls of lychee jellies. It was kind of sweet like a bubble tea. It was great! I know they have other locations in the Tampa Bay area, but this one is in Riverview on US Hwy 301 and Krycul Ave (or Duncan Rd, or Gornto Lake Rd). That road gets renamed 3 times as you're driving through Brandon to Riverview. It eventually becomes Krycul once you cross over 301. Anyway, Zeko's is behind a gas station and next door to Flavaz Jamaican Grill (another great restaurant). This place is kind of a hidden gem. I've only seen it coming from Duncan Rd and always wondered about it. Well, now I don't have to wonder. I'm looking forward to my next visit."
"Absolutely amazing pizza! The 4 cheese STOIs to die for. I am hooked. I ordered for my shop today. It was delivered fast and fresh and the delivery driver was so sweet. I owe him! Definitely won't be going any where else."
"Came in for a cheesesteak sandwich for hubby to go. There was a big number of cars in the parking lot, a good sign, especially since whenever we passed by very few cars were there.Hubby went in to order his sandwich and I stayed in the car, hoping that it would be prepared quickly so that I could be on our way. I noticed other customers obtaining their food orders to go as well. Saturday afternoon must be their busiest time of the week because the parking lot was full.Hubby came out quickly with his sandwich and fries and said after eating it that it was "okay". Not sure if he wants to return or continue his quest for other locations."
"Great new addition to the neighborhood! Local Greek spot with so many customizable options! We ordered the Beef-Lamb Gyro Pita, Chicken Gyro Bowl, Greek Fries. It's a fast casual concept but feels full service. Some inside seating and a nice patio!"
"Located on the first floor of one of the high rise apartments near Curtis Hixton, Nana Middle Eastern is serving up some "build your own bowls".There is a multitude of options to choose from and no limits of the finishings (toppings and sauces) so you can basically put everything on your bowl. My base was the Nana's rice with the Kefta meatballs. You can also do half and half on your base. I loaded my bowl with almost everything and everything was delicious! They ran out of the tabouleh while I was ordering. I asked if they made more and I was still dining, if I can still try it. The wonderful gentleman brought a bowl of the Tabouleh outside for my table to share. Amazing service, amazing food, healthy food option and cool vibe! I'll definitely be returning when I'm in the area."
"Service with a smile!!! Amazing and fun atmosphere with an eclectic array of Mediterranean feel meets Clearwater beach! And at the risk of sounding redundant...service with a smile! They are actually happy you're there and pleased to make sure your dining experience is top notch."
"they automatically add 15% "service charge" to the bill and then turn the iPad to you for a "tip" (with the recalculated choices of 15%,18%, and 20%). I chose 20% and when I went home and checked the receipt, I realized I tipped over 35% unknowingly. that's sneaky."
"I ordered to go beef shawarma platter. It smelled delicious because of the Mediterranean spices. The rice was even better. The side salad was just American-style: lettuce, tomato, and raw white onions with Italian dressing.I wasn't pleased with the $17 cost, but actually it was a lot of meat and freshly cooked. I would definitely eat here again."
"The food at Serbian Mediteran is delicious!!! It's a smallish restaurant nestled in a tiny strip, but it delivers big on flavor and freshness. The menu is very similar to what you'll find at most eastern European restaurants. We had the chicken, schnitzel, and Serbian salad. To sim it up. everything was fantastic and full of flavor. We ate at the restaurant which has about 4 pretty big tables. The person who took our order was very nice and took her time answering any questions we had.I guarantee the restaurant will exceed your expectations.Definitely check it out!"
"My man and I visited Amar last night for dinner~ We knew it was going to be good by how busy it was despite the late hour. Aya welcomed us and asked us questions to know what she could recommend us dishes to try. We ended up getting the Mixed Grill dish and the falafel salad, more than enough for us to share. My favorite was the ground beef on a stick, I apologize since I don't know the correct name. He loved everything, especially the hummus. All of the food tasted fresh and the flavors tasted authentic. We will definitely be back :) Amar is super close to my house"
"Pita Fresh Express serves up fresh ingredients and delicious bites! My boyfriend and I checked our Pita Fresh Express over the weekend and we've been back twice since then. The food is fresh and so, so delicious. We shared an Appetizer Sampler + a Kafta sandwich + falafel on our first visit. Everything we bit into was delicious and made us want more. Since then, we've been back to pick up take-out and I devoured the Fried Kibbeh. Overall, Pita Fresh Express is a hit and I'll be a repeat customer. Service is also friendly and fast. 5 out of 5!"
"Food was simply amazing. Had a couple special request and were met without hesitation.Excellent place to die and the service is truly impecable."
"Authentic Cuisine #61, Moroccan Cuisine We have been to Morocco and find this place is close to the cuisine we have tasted in Morocco. I like the Tanger sauce they have put over the rice. The use of spice is very similar. It is definitely a recommended restaurant to visit. The few things that I would comment on the restaurant. 1. Employees should use mask during pandemic. 2. Serve real plate instead of styrofoam box for the food if customers dine in. Other than that, they are great restaurant and good service to the local. We order two plate from chef special. The first dish is the Le Carnivore. This is the grilled skew steak and chicken. The steak was process and good tender. The chicken has the marinated spice into the meat. The hummus is like soft like the silk. They must take time grind and prepare this hummus. The Morocco shlada or "salad" is well prepared. Love it. Our second dish is the mermaid. This is grilled salmon and skew shrimp. This seafood combo dish. The shrimp is large and the fish is good. Our appetizer is one of the best falafel. The coating is fried to crispy. The inside is still green. Similar to the falafel in Morocco. The spice in falafel is very flavorful. Don't forget to order this appetizer."
