"We love the Boozy Pig, it has been a great addition to our midtown neighborhood. This is a family owned business that we love to support. We enjoy the weekend brunch. The Hillsborough Hash and blueberry ricotta pancakes cakes are delicious! If you are grilling the blue cheese burgers and steaks are far superior to any grocery store meats."
"This hidden gem truly exudes authenticity, as it's evident in both the ambiance and flavors. We recently ordered catering for my son's birthday, and the penne vodka, spaghetti and meatballs were absolutely delectable. I would easily rate this place as a 5-star plus establishment. Having dined at some of the finest Italian restaurants along the northeast coast I'm from New York, I can confidently say that this spot ranks among the best. Superb service as well they make you feel like family"
"The BEST small grocery store in Tampa. Fresh meals , outstanding butchers, nice folks. Part of the playlist of our lives! Anything you buy here will be delicious!"
"El Zocalo Supermarket never disappoints! Don't ask what this is called, we just saw it on a few tables & said "THAT is what I want!" It had steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, pork, onion, jalapeño & cactus grilled to perfection! Came with rice, beans & an amazing sauce. So good! So for $30, me & my husband shared and we still have more than enough leftovers for dinner! Afterwards, we were able to pick up a few groceries too."
"Where's the beef? At Shaner's of course! This little market carries hands-down some of the best cuts of beef I've ever experienced. Thick, juicy, flavorful steaks. Delmonico, NY strip, bacon wrapped petite fillet (!), you name it, Shaner's has it and it is quality as f*ck. In addition to their fantastic meat, they carry pork, chicken, fresh seafood, and produce. They also have some grab and heat sides: get the chicken and rice, you'll love the super tasty seasoning! Looking for a ready to eat option? They make fantastic sandwiches to order using premium Boar's Head deli meats and cheese. Or, just get sliced meat and shop their cooking and grilling essentials so that you can make tasty sandos at home later. And to round out all the convenience they also carry beer and wine. Be sure to pick up a beverage or two; you'll need something to sip as you congratulate yourself on going to Shaner's."
"If you didn't already know.. this place is full of quality meat of all shapes and prices. You can't go wrong or not find something. All sorts of different cuts of beef, as well as a few other items. A lot of spices to also choose from & you can also try them for free at the counter. The service was super helpful, offering ideas of how to cook the meat or the spices/sauces to use. It's a bit pricier than Publix, but hey - shop small and it was yum!"
"I found this little taste of tropical paradise in Saint Cloud a few years ago. They have so much to offer that you may not find in the regular grocery stores. Stocked with mainly Latin foods, you will find fresh fruits from the islands and vegies that are beautifully displayed, and quality meets that you can get straight from the inhouse butcher. They have a carryout hot foods section that serves the best empanadas, sandwiches, pastries and more. The carryout is always packed with customers, especially at lunch time. There is just so much to choose from at great prices. If you are looking for a grocery store/market that caries culturally specific items, this is the place to be. You can find spices, sauces, beans and nuts, seafood, etc. They even have a small medicine section. There is a small parking lot, but depending on when you go, it can be hard to find parking. This is a popular place for those that are in the know here. The staff is very friendly and patient while you try to make a choice. Knowing Spanish will take you a long way, but not needed. There are some English-speaking employees if you need assistance. I look forward to my next visit and all the wonderful, traditional, and homemade Latin foods that they offer."

This is a foodie brunch spot. We ordered the double smash cheeseburger and the Cuban breakfast sandwich with chorizo and a french fries. It is a BYOB spot, which means you can bring your own beer and bubbly. They also have a butcher shop inside if you want to get any hand cut meats and they sell and whole pigs. What a lovely hidden gem. We go back.

Came here after hearing great things from a YouTube video we saw for visiting Tampa. I feel like it was much bigger in the guys hands lol but maybe the video portrayed it differently. It was just okay to me but that's because I'm not a huge bell pepper fan and this was filled with them, but I know good meat when it hits my mouth haha and THIS was great crab. I will say it is super flavorful and very reasonably priced. It is a grocery store mixed with a sit down eatery so the ambiance isn't anything spectacular but I love neighborhood spots like this! All the community comes and goes here and you can tell it's a family establishment. It's filled with pictures of memories and also had a cool wine section. The people here were nice and friendly!

Very cool establishment and butchery featuring rare game meat and custom cuts. Store is clean and accessible. The staff I met was friendly and very personable. I feel this would be a great place for a true meat smoker/griller to a novice just learning, to someone buying the gift of raw animal.Located in the up and coming Heights neighborhood, it is easy to find and surrounded by the new 'cool' in Tampa. Parking is a bit of a challenge given the location on an intersection, but overall not a problem. Prices are appropriate for the meat you are purchasing and this isn't cheap butcher scraps. From Wygu to Ostrich and everything in between. Give them a shot the next time you need that rare cut to smoke or grill!

Being that the major Groceries in the area lack many culturally specific items, this place is where you come to get those "antojitos" that Publix cannot satisfy. Dominican, Puerto-Rican, Colombian, Mexican, and even oriental items can be found here. While it's not abundant in options, they have just enough inventory for that dish you're trying to prepare. The vegetables are actually beautifully arranged and they actually look so much fresher than the sad vegetables in Publix. You can't beat the prices! You might have to ask ahead of time for the location of some specific items. I couldn't find the tajin for my elope recipe, but a employee kindly told me exactly where I'd find it & it was there. The chorizo section isn't as varied as I thought it would be but I was happy with the Argentine sausage I ended up with. The lines do get long but just have patience and they will move quickly. Un poco sazón in St. Cloud, Fl....Me gusta!!

"You can come to sultan to get any of your middle eastern products which is wonderful. They have a variety of items there, customer service is outstanding. I went probably 2-3 times and it was really nice to see how great the staff were. I highly recommend it and will definitely return soon to get more items"
"Ive been here seveal times and not once have i complain. There food is soooo good and resoaonable too. I often come for breakfast omw to work i literally i have to drive 15mins out of the way but its well worth it and i will grab lunch while im there b/c there food is hot and ready all for under $10. You cant beat it. I recommend calling ahead cuz this place will get crowded often."
"This is a great Latin grocery. Great prices on meat, they have a hot bar, sandwiches, there is a jeweler inside, a hair salon. Lots of everything with great service and great prices."
"First time in and this is a cool little place! Not a very big store and it has a lot of Caribbean items and it's pretty cheap for a lot of it in my opinion. I bought 1.18lbs of chicken cutlets for about $4 and some spices like adobo and Jamaican jerk for less than $2 each. They have fresh produce too! And an amazing style buffet that you can get to go. While I was in line, I of course stared at it and they had tripe and teriyaki chicken and veggies and a bunch of other things that were steaming hot! So glad I stopped. People are nice too."
"I honestly can't imagine being a small business owner in today's new horrifying Covid-19 reality. The amount of pressure to stay afloat when most people aren't leaving their homes must be intense, but to go ahead and OPEN a new business during these rough economic times takes perhaps the biggest set of balls that have ever existed. This is exactly what the guys at Heights Meat Market (new Brandon/Bloomingdale Ave. location) have done, essentially extending their middle fingers to the virus, pushing their chips to the middle of the table, and betting all-in that the Brandon community will flock to their new store to devour their vast selection of meat and specialty game. Truth be told, I visited this new location on a whim as I was actually cutting through back roads to avoid traffic on Bell Shoals and Bloomingdale when the buddy I was with mentioned that they read somewhere that this new store had just opened a couple of months ago and that we should check it out because they'd heard that their Seminole Heights location had a great reputation. Since I'm a sucker for checking out new places, I quickly jotted into the adjoining parking lot next to the auto parts store where this new establishment now resides, and we ventured inside. I've never been to any of their other stores (Seminole Heights and Land O' Lakes), so I don't know what exactly the layout is supposed to look like, but I have to admit that the inside looked a little underwhelming (you can make your own assumptions based on the pictures I took attached to this review). Perhaps things were more spread out due to virus regulations, but it was basically about 14-15 freezer cases that had signs atop each one describing the proteins that were inside each one. But seriously, who cares, it's all about the product that they provide and based on that notion, this is where my dilemma makes my way into this story. I didn't actually purchase anything, so my review is really about getting this particular store on the YELP map (I noticed no one had reviewed the place yet, so I wanted to help them out). The guys in the store (I'm pretty sure were the owners) were extremely nice and friendly, and did a great job describing everything in the store and answering all of the multitude of questions that people had. I would have gone 5 stars based on my overall experience, but I just have one gripe (which is really just my own personal issue) and that is that they outsource all of their meats from out of town (other states). I'm probably just getting old and cranky, but when I think meat market I envision the old school butchers that are still wearing their bloody aprons from cutting up their meat in the back when they come out to the counter to help you, but I digress. Per my earlier comments, this review was really an attempt to help get butts in the door for these fine folks, so my promise to them is that I will do a follow up review after I've actually purchased and eaten their delectable looking meats, and then give some quality feedback. Until then my fellow Brandonites, go check this place out and let me know what YOU think, and make sure to continue to support local businesses like these guys, they all need are help in these crappy times"
"This business has been open just 5 weeks. It's the sister market to the Seminole Heights location in Tampa. Two brothers are in charge of operations. Their butcher resides in Sarasota. Upon arrival, I was fortunate to meet & speak w/ Manager Makeena Click.Prices appeared quite standard for the variety & types of specialty meats sold here. For those on a limitless budget, this is the meat market for you! The market is also a great asset to have readily available for anyone hosting a dinner party. For the average Joe or Jane, unless you love meat & insist on top quality, this may not be the place you'll shop weekly. But it's definitely a market you'll want to browse for all the specality items you love. If you can't locate a product in one of the refrigerated cases, just know that specialty orders are welcomed. The rectangular interior of the shop is spotless. Seven floor-to-ceiling refrigerators run the length of one wall. Each is clearly marked "Premium," "Beef," "Pork," "Chicken," "Seafood," "Exotic," & "Game." There are a few extra foods tossed in, such as a variety of GRASSFED Banner butters (including sea salt, cinnamon cardamom, garlic, black truffle, white truffle, etc.).Near a back wall you'll find a display of three large Grill & Provisions Co. domed grills & charcoal (for sale) w/ two squared tree stands hosting sauce & seasonings-- thrown in for good measure (although nothing in this orderly empire is "thrown in"). There are at least 50 offerings, & you may request to sample each. I (& my restraint) walked out w/ just three items- a $22+ beef filet ($43.99 lb), pork chops ($6.15 lb), & beautifully-packaged garlic butter (to position atop my cooked steak:) This is what you're likely to find within the refrigerated cases (based on availability):CERTIFIED ANGUS BEEF: (Prime) cowboy ribeye, (Prime) dry aged boneless ribeye, boneless ribeye, 3 bone beef plate ribs, flank steak, skirt steak, beef bones, brisket, sliced picanha, chuck roast, Denver steak, filet, flat iron, ground chuck patties, GRASSFED patties, hanger steak, NY strip, porterhouse, baseball-cut sirloin, Tomahawk ribeye, & tri tip.AMERICAN WAGYU BEEF: Brisket, filet, tri tip, whole picanha, hanger streak, ground patties, hotdogs, NY strip, sirloin, & sirloin flap. EXOTIC GAME: Duck, elk, venison, bison, wild boar, frog, gator, kangaroo, lamb, pheasant, python, quail, & rabbit. (I have yet to try python.)SEAFOOD: Poke cubes, Key West Shrimp, Red grouper, hogfish, Mahi Mahi, red snapper, salmon (Chile), Alaskan salmon, U10 scallops, & Yellowfin tunaNEVER EVER BRAND PORK from Warsaw, North Carolina (Villari Brothers--American Humane Certified): Boneless chops, baby back ribs, St Louis ribs, Boston butt, belly (sliced), tenderloin, Tomahawk chop, Lee & Davis smoked sausage, & Applewood bacon.JOYCE FARMS CHICKEN from Salem, North Carolina (Regenerative Farming): Breast, Breast medallions, drummettes, tenders, thigh, & whole. If meat &/or grilling is your passion, you REALLY need to stop in to check out this place! And if it's help w/ what type or cut to purchase, Makeena can surely assist. I learned more about steak (levels of quality) in ten minutes than I had in a lifetime! And now somehow I'm still ambivalent about whether I wish to share my delicious finds:)UPDATE: The BEST steak I've ever eaten-- pan seared, broiled, & then draped in garlic butter. If I could imagine dining atop a cloud w/ harp music in the background, this filet would come to mind-- soft, tender, juicy, w/ a delicate mild flavor:) Dang it-- now I never want USDA store-bought steak ever again:-("
"My sister kept telling me about this place where she got amazing food, and there was a line out the door and around the corner. She couldn't remember the name or how to get there...only that the food was very inexpensive, amazingly delicious, and everyone was incredibly polite and friendly to her. When she finally recalled that the place was called Super Saver, I thought she'd lost her mind. But here we are, and she was right!Part grocery store, part cafeteria takeout counter, all fantastic Latin fare. The prices are pretty amazing. Everyone is friendly. very limited seating, but everything is packaged for take out. The avocado salad was amazing, and the roast pork was pretty good. I went back in the late afternoon a few days later and got the last piece of some sort of baked chicken, for less than $3, and it was soooooo delicious. If they served dinner, I would stop there 2-3 nights a week on my way home. They serve breakfast and lunch...get there early."
"I had heard of this place from a friend. I speak really good Spanish and investigated. The clerk was a really nice Cuban girl. They have everything Spanish and then some. Lots of exotic fruits and veggies. I had a Papa Relleno that is mashed potatoes with seasoned meat in the middle. They are fried but oh so good!! They make Cubans and I will have to try one!!! I will be back!!"
"If you looking for meat, they have deal in the store. I got beef flank steak only for $4.95 a pound for the special of the day. It has many types of beef and pork cut. The meat market serves hot deli such as empanadas, tacos, fried chicken and more. The price of those deli food are affordable. It has package deal. For is ok since the price is low no complaints. They do have the seating area if you decide to eat there. The veggies section just like normal supermarket and same as the can good and un perishable food. They do have special soft drinks. Some from drink still at original bottle packaging. This store just like typical supermarket but is local own. The advantage is the meat they have sold here. If you have huge party at your home and hosting a BBQ, this is a good place to purchase your meat."
"Great new business in WInter Haven, part of the Water Tower Farmers Market Indoor Flea Market. This business is open 7 days, 7 am to 8 pm. It is a typical Mexican Market with a restaurant within the market called Tu Cocina (find under its own name for reviews. This is for the grocery portion.) There are many grab & go hot & cold meal items (like rotisserie chickken, premade salads, salsas, guacamole, a bakery & bread section, a meat/butchery department, a large seafood department with whole fish, salted fish, fileted fish, etc. They have the many varieties of onions, roots, potatoes that Mexico has to offer. I never saw so many types and sizes of flan, tres leches cake, and conchas. The store is very clean, well-stocked, fair-priced and withh friendly bilingual employees of all ages. Everything I saw was well-labeled in both English & Spanish. It will be hard to leave here with empty hands!"
