Sunrise Lanes

"A group of coworkers and I sent to Sunrise Lanes for an after-work outing. It's pretty typical of a bowling alley. They have lots of lanes, with lounge-style seating for the lanes and theme bowling nights. The prices are reasonable for a night out. There's a great bar inside, and they let you bring your drinks out to your lane. The bartenders are fun-natured and quick with your order. There are 3 billiard tables in the bar area, for a change of game.The food is hit or miss. You can't go wrong with the deep fried foods like fries and tots. However, DO NOT order the pizza. It's a step above cardboard with cheese. I'm not saying that I'm looking for gourmet pizza, but I'm sure that I've had better pizza in a mall foodcourt. Sunrise Lakes is a bit far from my home, but since we had people coming from all over Tampa Bay, it was a good meeting area for everyone. I'm not sure when I'll be back but it's a solid bowling alley for the area."

"People drink a lot here, and I mean a lot. Even the ones who don't drink here are wasted. Let me explain. I've been here thrice (love that word) and two out of three times there was a drunken fiasco. First, a guy just walked off the street, didn't order a thing, and proceeded to mumble some jibberish then fall asleep at the bar. The bartender called the cops after politely asking him to leave. Cops wouldn't come. At that point, I thought to myself, "the cops won't even come to this place??". Soon after, the paramedics came and carried the guy out. The second time, there was just some drunk d-bag who the bartended ejected, yet he refused to leave. Some regulars eventually pushed him out the door. You'd think I'd hate this kind of stuff, right?? Absolutely not. This is what makes a good dive, as long as nobody gets hurt, of course. Now, about the place - in a strip mall and off the beaten path but it has a crowd nonetheless. Bartenders are very friendly although not as attentive as you'd like them to be, at times, but nothing horrible. They have big screens, pool tables, darts, Golden Tee (of course) and pretty clean restrooms. They have a kitchen, but I've never tried the food so I can't comment on that. Come here on a weekend and there's a good chance you'll see some drunken entertainment that'll be MUCH better than any cover band!"

"thought it was cool. We got there earlier around 8:30. One thing about this place is there are lots of girls to choose from. They may have had at least 25 to 30 chicks. So lots of choices. If you love Latina women then this is the place to be because 75% of the women were. A lot of the women were attractive and very cordial and nice. Some just came to introduce themselves and kept it moving in, which I like. The music was cool. The food was good in which it was the typical club food. anyway, I had one bad experience because my credit card stayed with the bartender check for way too long. Once I finally got it back I didn't realize until later in the evening that it wasn't my card. It almost looked like a 3-D credit card so I ended up having to cancel my card. Funny thing is that I signed a receipt, but it was dark and I glanced at the card and it was from the same bank as I use. Lil did I know it wasn't mine so I'm not sure what happened with the signing of the receipt or anything, but a buddy of mine who lives in the area ended up paying my bill for me. This was on the bartender though absolutely.!!! I usually only use cash, but I didn't have anymore so I had to use my credit card. oh, and I got a killer massage too so kudos to the massage lady...Anyway, I didn't have any bogus charges thank God and I would actually go back to this place again in the area..."

"I headed to Spinners on a Friday night with my boyfriend for drinks and sunset vibes, and boy, was it a treat! It was his first time there, and we dove into an old-fashioned, espresso martini, and mai tai. The drinks were not only delish but packed a punch. The views? Absolutely stunning, with the sky showing off its best colors. The service was top-notch, speedy, and super friendly. Spinners definitely knows how to mix up a good time with great drinks, gorgeous scenery, and quick, smiley service. Perfect combo for a memorable evening!"

"My husband and I had a great experience at 7th and grove. The service was excellent our waitress was a sweetheart. I ordered Let's stay together which was fried chicken, Mac and cheese with collard greens! When I say the meal was a 10/10 I mean it! The fried chicken which were tenders wee moist and seasoned perfect delicious as was my Mac and cheese and collard greens. I mentioned to the waitress that everything was great except the cook was stingy with the collard greens, literally I got like a tablespoon of greens on my plate. The waitress was so sweet and asked if I wanted more I said yes and she gave me a to-go container full of collard greens free!! That made my night because I love greens. Also the drink I ordered was so strong I had to change it, she took it off the bill without us even asking her to do so. Great customer service!My husband had the catfish with mashed potatoes excellent as well! I tasted the mashed potatoes and they were so good!!I highly recommend going to eat here. We do not live in the Tampa area we were in town for a concert but we will be returning because the food and service is that good!"

Pre-COVID there were events every night: drag shows, bingo, trivia, etc. They also have recently added food. The food isn't too bad! I enjoyed a pepperoni pizza during a BOGO Happy Hour. BONUS: Because they serve food, the bar is now NON-SMOKING! Raven is such a doll and a pleasure to talk to. City Side is a great bar to begin your night out, day drinking, or a way to end your evening!"

"Very nice atmosphere. I went on a Saturday night around 10PM and it was a small crowd. There wasn't any specific event going on (I don't believe). There was live music which was great! They had the fight playing and the drinks were on point! I was able to find a seat at the bar comfortably. It wasn't overcrowded at all. It's not a large space, but there are plenty VIP styles seating if you ever go that route. The was definitely a grown and sexy crowd. I had a great time. R&B vibes!"

"A beautiful dining experience at Union.Met my friend here for dinner and the food was delicious. Tried the well known Parker house milk bread which was soft and had a beautiful formed crust. I can say we were both big fans of their king Cali roll and their speciality tuna crispy rice. The dry aged pork chop was perfectly cooked and the bourbon glaze added a nice touch. Definitely a cute spot for a girls night or date night. Also the have nice outside seating and rooftop seating."

"Definitely a vibe like no other in Tampa owing credit to the DJ and entertainment. It was a Saturday night and the small dance floor was packed and an acrobatic performer outside creating a chill, party vibe. There are only a handful of tables inside, so very limited seating available when outdoor temps aren't ideal. I didn't understand how this place got so many negative reviews until I experienced it for myself. They're kind of a hot mess. Our Open Table reservation wasn't honored for some reason. They made us wait an hour for our table in case a table who reserved with a credit card showed up. The server was MIA much of the night running to all the tables, so we sat with empty glasses a good while. The kitchen was quick though and the tacos were good. We were still in good spirits having drinks at the bar, and chalked it up to a lax attitude and mismanagement. Definitely check it out when it's nice enough to sit outside."

"Best hidden gem of Temple Terrace. Discovered it just this month and immediately fell in love with this place. Everyone is always friendly and kind, make you feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. I absolutely adore all the awesome art work implemented into the decor and the one you can purchase at the store portion of the business. It's the best place to chill at on a Friday night, with some kratom and/or hookah plus enjoy the trivia night. The Insomnia has great selection of very cleverly named drinks that contain either kava, kratom, CBD or Delta-8. Hookah flavors list is also very good, certainly can find a flavor that you'd enjoy. Plus they have a tobacco-free sheesha as well. Been here 3 times in a past month and we are certainly going to continue coming back for great vibes and relaxing time."

Very low key vibe and had a wonderful live entertainment that night.Service: Service was good.Cocktails: Decent selection of craft cocktails.Appetizers: We ordered the house specialty Pork Belly Burnt Ends - Nice flavor but super chewy. Grilled oysters - 1/2 dozen. They were really good and I highly enjoyed these.Entree: I got the Seared Diver Scallops. I expected to have a knockout dish because it sounded so good on paper. In reality, the polenta was super salty and the flavors didn't really mesh well together. At least the scallops were cooked nicely. Overall, if it weren't for the display and the nice photos we took, this dinner itself would've been a bit disappointing."

I heard it wasnt to bad and if I liked house music then this is the place for me and that it was. Saturday night was said to have been doing bad but we decided to check it out anyway. Its call the House Party on Saturdays. They have ladies drink and get in free ALL night!!!!! What a deal but at the same time a mistake...... Drink all night???!!!! WOW waisted.The dj was jumping and the music was none stop fist pumpin jams. We were in there going nuts. Its not a Passions or Opium (those my joints) but its good. The people on the other hand I have to get use to there pretty um well Ill keep it to myself but the dress code is nonexisting!Friday night is Seductve fridays Its not bad but just get ready to listen to reggae, rap and hip hop. I love it all but I cant dance to that all night thats more like vibbin to me. The place has a nice feel and the outside lounge is fly. Overall so far this is my new Tampa spot!Oh yea there is a check in offer of a free shot and be prepared to see kind of an 18 and older crowed even though its suppose to be 21 and up."

"This is a cool little dive bar that's situated in a tiny strip mall and very easy to miss. The inside is divey, of course, but the bartender was very friendly and attentive. There were maybe three or four other people in here when I went, all of whom kept to themselves, so even though it was a dive bar, it didn't have that friendly, neighborly feel to it. You can smoke inside, which is always a plus to me and ventilation was great. They have Touchtunes, darts and I thought I saw a pool table in there, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I have a feeling this place is a little more livelier on the weekends; I was there on a Sunday, from what I remember. But I would love to go back on a Friday or Saturday and check it out. I have a feeling there will be some prime people watching on those nights."

"I wanted to take my husband out to do something a little different that was also low-key and this really fit the bill! It was quieter than even I expected for a Saturday night but I was happy to be somewhere where the music wasn't deafening. The manager was very friendly and helpful. He told us to follow them on FB to hear about upcoming events and even free comedy shows. The place itself is at the end of a strip mall with indoor and outdoor seating. It's very clean and has everything you could need from a variety of smokes to drinks. No food though so keep that in mind. We enjoyed a watermelon mint hookah and lingered for almost two hours. A perfect chill date night! We will definitely be back!"

The bar seemed to be perpetually busy.The bartenders work really hard but I was served in a reasonable amount of time.I give it three stars because of inconsistency in pricing. The first time I paid $15 for a margarita on the rocks and $20 for a glass of red wine (not good quality) with no tax; the second time I was charged $8.50 for a bottle of beer and $20 for the same margarita and there was tax. The third time I was charged $10 for that same brand beer with no tax. So go figure. There is seating at the bar or in the lounge. One night there was live acoustic music, which was nice."

"A meal at VIP is a must if you're in the Treasure Island area. This local spot is known for its delicious food, low prices, and strong but yummy margaritas.A friend and I stopped in for lunch on a Monday holiday and were promptly seated at the bar. FYI- this place is SMALL, so the bar is not seat yourself. A host will let you know which bar seats to sit in. The atmosphere is dive bar casual. You can come in your bathing suit and T-shirt if you want to. The bartenders here are always so friendly and efficient. I even recognize one from 5+ years ago!We quickly received our ice waters and two house margaritas, and ordered the Three Amigos Trio. I really enjoyed the freshness of the guacamole and salsa, but the queso was lacking flavor for me. For our entrees, my friend ordered a mini taco salad with chicken. It is so great that they have the mini option for some menu items. Who has room for a giant meal after all those chips anyway?! I ordered two carnitas tacos mexi-style. At $3 a piece, these are a steal!I always have to come to VIP when I'm home in St.Pete for the weekend. If you're looking for casual, delicious, and cheap, you can't go wrong with VIP!"

"We dropped by here on our way from Fly Bar & Restaurant. We were surprised how desolate and quiet the place was on Friday night, but maybe that is a good thing for a relaxed and attentive service. We met one of the nicest, knowledgeable bartender there. He recommended grilled octopus for shared appetizer, and that right there...was special. Not gammy or chewy at all! And it didn't have weird fishy smell like I expected Octopus to have. I really am a fan of this dish. Unfortunately I think I forgot to take a picture of it. The lounge itself is very classic and traditional, sort of the old school vibe the whole Floridan hotel is going for so they go hand in hand. We'd like to be back for a friendly, attentive, and chill service next time if we are sick of loud environments and ambiance."
