The Rogan Josh was good tasting but Lamb was a little tough. The Malai Kufta good for vegetarians but came with only 4 balls so a small portion. Was ok will try more Indian restaurants to compare flavors."

Charlie G. "I recently visited Bay Leaves with two friends. We had a good meal, and I picked up the tab, did not really look at the total except for calculating the 20% tip I left. Service was less exceptional than it usually is also..When I got home... I was notified by my bank I had a charge from Bay Leaves, and it was $146.03. That seemed high... so I went to their website and did a spreadsheet with the prices listed online... and then added the prices in the reciept (which were different prices) which I found strange.I called and spoke to the lady who was there when we went (manager? hostess?)... and she texted me a copy of the reciept. I let her know that I found what seemed to be a discrepancy in the amount I was charged. I sent her the spreadsheet I had put together and I asked for a callback.Never got a call back. So posting the spreadsheet and the reciept here so people will know to be careful. The Online Prices are screenshots from their website, along with a screenshot of the receipt. Note that the prices are different on the receipt and the online pricing menu. Also note that what I was charged is not shown anywhere in the spreadsheet even though it is accurate. Check it yourself.... :)"

Of course, I had to have a bowl of the lentil soup which again was velvety and flavorful. I tried everything on the lunch buffet, and it was flavorful and interesting. If you can make it during the week during lunch, the $12 buffet is a bargain for such quality food. The service was impeccable as always, and the music was very subdued, playing in the background not too overwhelming. Curry Mango is a lovely place for dinner or lunch"

The sweet woman who took my order told me about how they were short on employees and ended up renting a robot to bring meals to tables! I had to experience it so even though it was a to-go order she still sent the robot to deliver it to me. Sad that there are not more employees given jobs but unique indeed. Brigitte L. "4 stars simply because the food is absolutely delicious but service is slow! Came in and we were 1 off 2 tables. Sat immediately and given plates, utensils and a chaff of water with cups. We were given a while to review the menu and make our selections. Portion sizes are huge, so you can order a few things and share. Food: - chicken corn soup: this was delicious! We ordered mild spice. Full of flavor and just so fresh. - veggie samosa: this was my absolute favorite dish. I could just eat this! And next time I come this is what I'm getting. The veggies are potatoes and peas. Comes with 2 sauces: cilantro mint (on the spicy side) and Tarimind chutney (on the sweet side and the sauce I preferred)- veggie/chicken biryani: basically a fried rice. They did taste slightly different given one was veggie and one was chicken. Fresh flavor, ordered mild. It came with a white sauce which I did try on it and it also tastes well. Butter chicken: ordered medium spice and this was too spicy for me but my daughter loves it. A lot of broth for the amount of chicken but they do give you a huge bowl of rice on the side. Great flavor and chicken is so tender. Drink: - mango lassi: this was actually delicious. It's more similar to a thick smoothie/milkshake. I love mango so I enjoyed this drink so much. But more of an after dinner dessert type drink and not one I could drink while eating. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Served to have a good crowd of food when we were leaving. I want to comes back during lunch to try the buffet."

Alicia P. "I am at a 4.5 here....the food was so tasty and good....felt truly authentic! But the half star is just for something off with the service...it wasn't bad, but I think it's probably just a cultural thing...it was a little rushed initially with the ordering process. My friend and I ordered an appetizer and also a naan that was not on the menu but that they had ordered before and they were able to make it - but not this time. Also while we were talking and maybe apparently taking too much time to order entrees the server seemed a little quick/abrupt with us to get our orders in, but also during/after our meal, just the feeling of being rushed but we didn't let that impact how much time we spent at the table. (Note, there were very few people dining and it was late afternoon/early evening, so not that they were trying to close)...Anyway, the Taj Special app was really good! YUMMY and also got the Kashmiri naan....WOW! ALL so good. Then after we finally ordered our entrees, and still munching on appetizers, entrees came out. Nice and hot. Butter chicken, which was super tasty... I was so excited about all my food, I forgot to take a photo and I have no idea what my friend ate LOL... Overall, I really enjoyed this place and will be back!"

Especially the mutton curry Kat fresh out the kitchen. Tasty. I also like the fried chicken curry. It has a lot character. The rice has biryanis rice and good chicken in it. Not much of service. Unfortunately I can't recall the names of everything but I loved everything I tried so I'd just say go for it. It gets full but there's space next door that was empty and quiet. Whatever the sweet potatoes mash looking dish is (has a cream of wheat texture) I'd drive all the way to Saint Pete specifically for that. The food can get spicy. I'm Ghanaian and we were born eating pepper so it was nothing but I can see it being spicy for others. However spice levels vary by dish. The price was also extremely reasonable for what all you can eat. I kind of felt like I was robbing the place The vibe is very casual so this is moreso for a casual date or outing with friends if you want to dine in."

"This was my first time ordering from Discovery 2.0 and I used UberEats which was offering BOGO Naan and $5 off Butter Chicken (normal price for butter chicken is $20 which I find to be way too high compared to other local Indian restaurants). Overall the food was edible but unremarkable to me. I couldn't select a spice temperature for the chicken but it showed up pretty mild with less authentic flavor than what I'm used to. The naan was super tough to pull apart and wasn't presliced. The basmati rice didn't have the same cardamom or spice flavor that makes Indian rice so delicious. The best part of my order was the appetizer Samosa Chaat, which I only ordered after reading another Yelp review.I will probably stick with the Indian joints in Carrollwood."

Even though it's vegetarian the sandwich I got was incredible. Lots of flavor. I got the Bombay sandwich and as you can see on the menu it was loaded with veggies and the Panini was pretty perfect. Beware of that green sauce. I thought it was pesto and dipped a big dip in it. it's called fresh mint but it's jalapeños!! How did you know we were in desperate need of another good Indian spot?!But really, there have been at least 2 Indian restaurants in Lakeland that have closed the past few years- I only know of one other still nearby. As someone who lovessss this type of food it was so sad. So thank goodness Curry Leaves decided to move here! If I remember right, they were in the Brandon area before and then came here. When you first come to Curry Leaves, don't mind that it's connected to a Quality Inn. This couldn't be more of an oxymoron as the restaurant itself is super nice, clean and honestly even a little fancy. It elevates the Quality Inn, if anything. This is on my top list of Indian places I've been to- and that's saying a lot because I've tried a lot of Indian places. Even a family member of mine who hasn't liked this kind of food preciously enjoyed what she had here. They cook the lamb just right so it's soft and juicy. We had some major miscommunications with the server, I think she forgot to put my husband's order in. We asked for clarification on a few things and were told one of the items was boneless chicken but dish arrived with bone in. Were told naan came 2 to order but arrived with 1 (4 pieces) per order. I kinda just chalked it all up to being in the new phases still. After we ordered my friend was suggested to order a sampler plate, essentially of the curries. This made for a confused convo about how she has already ordered (like 10 mins ago), but maybe next time. If you order coke they have glass bottles of Mexican coke which we enjoyed but be aware no refills. My friend and I were both served and my husbands food did not come out. We inquired and she said it would be a few more minutes, I'll be damned if his food didn't come out when we were practically done (he insisted we start eating). I can say my food was really good, great flavors. My friend ordered a goat curry which had , unexpectedly, goat testicles in it. I mean, authentic I guess? At least make someone aware in case they don't want to eat it (she did not) . She also found a small black hair in her curry.
