"We love this place - for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dessert! Great service, fresh squeezed oj, hand spun milkshakes, yummy cookies and pies!Shannon is awesome. It is fun when a local diner is available in a mall, Every time we eat here A manager or the owner stops to say hi."
"We absolutely love coming to Wooden spoon diner for breakfast or lunch. We met in the middle and decided to do brunch and I have to say the cinnamon roll pancakes are award winning, I could eat those things everyday it doesn't matter what time of the day it is!My kids are always fascinated by the Mickey Mouse pancakes and my oldest got the chicken tenders and they were good. If you want to start your day off right then this is the place you go too."

"Always a pleasure, dining for lunch or dinner. Service was outstanding, atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Huge plus to find parking on site!! The corn fritters were savory and spicy, the tuna fresh and light, and the fish and chips perfectly crispy."
"This place is a great place to go for brunch in the Tampa Bay Area! You get some great views, great vibes, but also some great food. The unique thing is you can get a set menu brunch meal, which is not something you see often. I started off with the Pork Belly and Brussels Sprouts starter which was delicious. Tender pieces of pork belly, runny egg yolk, and delicious sauce. For the main, it was a seared branzino with fried polenta cake. Loved the use of the citrus and pistachio dressing. Finally, dessert was a blondie with caramel sauce. Excellent without being overly sweet. All in all, great spot with great food and service. Parking can be tough on a busy weekend, but it is worth coming here :)"
"Great local diner. Tiffany our server provided friendly and speedy service. The eggs, bacon, and pancakes were quite delicious. The place was full and busy just like a good diner should be. Enjoyable ambiance inside the restaurant and speedy turnaround."
"Our go to restaurant for a brunch! The staff are always so friendly and attentive, the food is HUGE portions. We always split a meal and get some extras, coffee is good. We love the old school diner vibe and memorabilia. Everything we've tried on the menu we've loved, our fav so far has been the BLT and Caesar salad! Parking can get a little crazy on Sundays after church is out, but it's decently enough to navigate! They also have a little homemade dessert window with huge cake and pie slice portions!"
"Stopped by this gem on a cool Sunday morning. We ordered French toast with a side of bacon, coffee, and a Diet Coke. Our order arrived quickly, and the French toast was perfect--soft on the inside and crunchy on the edges. The coffee was flavorful, and the presentation on the plate was very nice. Both the French toast and bacon were delicious, and the prices were comparable to other breakfast spots. The service was very good as well. The only downside was that the men's bathroom needed cleaning. The women's bathroom was fine."
"Food was very good. Service was great. Family friend place and relaxed diner feel. I would come back next time I am in the area."
"I found the expansive menu interesting with a lot of good-sounding dishes. One of the first thing I noticed was the restaurant had that "this is where the locals eat" feel to it. Maybe it was the gentlemen sitting at the bar eating rather than one of the many tables, LOL.I had the shrimp and grits which also has bacon, and andouille sausage with cheese. I found the grits lacked seasoning but the sausage was very tasty and the shrimp was a good size. The side of corn beef hash was ok, not bad but the greatest. All in all, I think the menu is big enough that I will try it again.Oh, they're close to PIE so if you're looking for a place to eat close to the airport, I would recommend it."
"DELICIOUS!! I love Greek food and after a long day at the beach, nothing sounded better than a Gyro. Service was fast and friendly. We called and picked up within 10 minutes. The restaurant was squicky clean and so nice. The Gyro was so meaty, perfectly seasoned and delicious!! The fries were delicious just needed a little salt. We will be back!!"

Homemade fluffy waffles and pancakes, you have a variety and the service on a Sunday was not long of a wait.

Was planning going fishing on this Saturday morning and there were small craft advisories so we went and had breakfast instead and we just picked the place and Brandon and went and checked it out. It's a little mom and pop place and it was really good. The service was very good as well as the customer service. There's a lot of seating inside and you can also sit outside if need be. We put our order in and received our meals fairly quickly and they're sweet tea was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and it was a lot of food. I would definitely suggest any of you guys out there reading this review to come and make a visit to The Wooden Spoon Diner, he will not be disappointed.

I've been to Whistle Stop before and I will be happy to point out that not every restaurant is going to be on point every visit. We had a fine time. We were absolutely hungry and we got food. Last time we went, the food was significantly better, but this was fine.Service was good, although the kitchen was incredibly backed up.I should have stuck with bar food, but the seared ahi tuna salad sounded so good. It's rare that I don't love a meal, but this was one of those times. The tuna was fresh and fine, but the rest of the salad was dull and missing some items, and it just didn't hit the spot. Other meals at our table looked (and tasted) much better, including my husband's salad, so I know the food is good and won't negatively review over it. Next time will be better!

Second time back in and I loved it even more. We came around 6pm on a Sunday night and sat at their beautiful bar looking out onto bayshore. Our bartender was incredibly attentive and charismatic. We ordered the burrata toast and figs to start. Delicious burrata and the figs stuffed with pistachio and goat cheese are easily one of the best things I've EVER eaten. For my entree, I ordered the yellowtail snapper and only wish I had more room in my stomach to eat more! I have no clue why this place wasn't jam packed! I can easily say I'll be back soon.

Always a great time at Rodeo Diner. My grandmother's favorite place. Ambiance is always welcoming and to theme of the RODEO! Service is like family, servers are always so kind and remember us always. Even the cook is our friend and speaks with us during our visits! The food is always delicious, great price, and closest to a home cooked meal. Thank you Rodeo Diner for being our family.

We sat at the counter today, which is open seating btw. Steven was as fun as usual. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast or lunch particularly today. I compromised and ordered an egg sandwich and French fries. Steven always made sure to top our drinks off. It hit the spot for sure. Steven made all kinds of desserts that were on display. Today he had German chocolate cake, red velvet cake, baklava cheesecake and a few other yummies. I recommend Egg City, there usually is a wait, that's when you know it's good. You'll be charmed by the 50's diner decor and hospitality.

I can't believe it's been five years since I last reviewed this place. I don't get to come here often as technically I'm not supposed to even be eating most of the food they serve. That being said, I have to say that I really do enjoy dining here. They really have a diner feel with the decor that they have. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I have tried multiple things in the past, but on this occasion, I decided to go with a tried and true favorite. I got the corn beef hash with scrambled eggs and hash-browns, all well done, along with a biscuit and a side of well-done bacon. I also ordered an apple juice to drink.Everything tasted great, and I was surprised I did not regret eating it later. The plate of food they give you is humongous with generous helping of all three items. The side of bacon was the biggest side I have seen in ages. The buttermilk biscuit was buttery and delicious. They provide a wide variety of items on the table, such as butter, creamer, jellies and sauces.by the time I was finished, I was quite full and satisfied for the rest of the day. For what I received the prices were reasonable for these days. On my own, I spent about $20 for breakfast. It was worth it. I wish I could eat this foodmore frequently, but they are not as convenient to where I live or approved by my doctors. If you don't have any restrictions, then you are missing out by not dining here.

It is located in a business park so you may miss it. Don't let the location fool you, the food is good here. If you come around lunch definitely get the Philly sub, you won't be disappointed. Full of meat and seasoned to perfection. Ask for your fries to be a little extra crispy because.... well just because I think they are better that way. Who wants limp fries? Service is spot on for a diner kind of food joint. I have yet to have anything bad here so that is why I give it 5 stars.

"Fantastic Sub Spot! I recommend the pastrami but but don't eat them out of stock cause I'm coming for mine! The staff is fantastic / on a cooler day try the picnic tables in the back corner of the lot. My go-to sub joint in Lakeland!"
"I had the taco omelette and it was very good! Portions were great, especially for the price. They have desserts in a display up front and jellies for sale as well. There are other items on the menu that also look good. Service was great, I would definitely return."
"Decent diner catering towards an older, local clientele. The location is an old Hardee's restaurant that still looks like a Hardee's but they fit in a lot of seating and have an outdoor patio. Funny old metal signs dot the walls. Service was mostly attentive and the dining room was clean if dated. Food was good not great but good enough to go back. I had fried catfish that was pretty tasty in a nice batter. Others enjoyed breakfast choices like omelets and pancakes."
"I stopped here for lunch when they opened their door, so there was only a couple items ready to order since they were still cooking. I got the roasted pork and rice, and I got the beef , corn, and yuca soup and it was great!"
"We stopped here for lunch after a doctor visit as we do not live nearby.I ordered aseafood combo platter and hubby had a club sandwich. Tons of food and very large portions. For $17.99 I had breaded shrimp, scallops, haddock and a crab cake with fries. It came with cole slaw, a salad and dessert. Quality was OK. Breading was thick on everything. Crab cake was lots of bread, as I would have expected. Club sandwich was good and came with soup. Service was good and ambiance was 50s diner. If you want tons of food for the money, this is the place."
"In the Dunedin area after a couple early appointments and looking for a brunch spot. A quick check of higher ratings pulled up Pete's. And the comments affirmed that, so we were off. Found it easily and glanced at today's specials then were seated immediately. We glanced over the menu. My eyes caught the Biscuits & Gravy but then I spotted the Pete's Scramble. Biscuits & Gravy with scrambled eggs & cheese, topped with crisp Bacon! It was tough because everything looked great. Especially the food at the tables around us.My wife discovered the Scramble Bowl. It reminded her of her Father's Hillbilly Stew served three times a day when squirrel hunting with Dad and three boys. One pound Bacon fried crisp. Add one large Onion diced and 5 pounds of par boiled potatoes. Then finish with a dozen eggs. Sounded boring when I joined them but after several hours walking in the woods, it was great.I also ordered a side of cheese grits to share but both our plates were huge, so half went home for another day.Service was great, food was excellent. Great prices. My wife is already planning to bring her girlfriends here!"
"The restaurant is now under new ownership. It's the same old menu from before with just a few changes. They have since added a bar which is a separate part of the restaurant. We were there for breakfast. We ordered the Chef's Supreme Omelet and the Pecan Waffle with a side of softly scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Our food was great. The service was friendly and speedy. I can definitely recommend you stopping by to see the remodel and sample the menu."
"If you want a good spot for breakfast, these folks do a nice job! They are within sight of Sebring Circle. Street parking is usually not bad and failing that, there is a small free lot adjacent to them.Atmosphere- This is a big place for a breakfast & lunch joint. My inside pic shows about half of it. It's bright and very clean and decorated with the usual Florida kitsch. The tables were appropriately Covid spaced.Customer Service- Very efficient! They seem to work as a team. My food was out quickly, and my coffee was topped off frequently. I would have appreciated a few more smiles but generally they got the job done.Food- We're talking a standard American menu with no surprises. You'll recognize everything.I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelet, Hash Browns, and an English Muffin for $6.99. I lot of places charge extra when you substitute an English Muffin but not here. Nice! A bottomless cup of coffee was a buck.Everything I was served was cooked properly. It might not be obvious in my pic, but the omelet was huge! Oddly, when I cut into it, I would call it unbalanced. There was a massive amount of cheese and very little ham. It was tasty as hell but I'm definitely not going to tell my doctor about all that cheese. The hash browns were great, and the muffin was nicely buttered. I was completely stuffed!Would I visit again? You bet!"
"If you are looking for a great breakfast at a great price this is the place to go!Perfect little place with real food and real people. The omelette was amazing, the home fries were like grandmas, and the pancakes were better than Cracker Barrel. Service like a small town diner and food to match it. While there, a customer ordered OJ and they were out. What did they do? They sent someone to buy a jug so their guest could have OJ with breakfast. That's the way it should be."
"5 stars for a greasy spoon diner with an easy going atmosphere. Friendly service and great food! I've only been here for breakfast so I can't speak to any other meal but it's become a tradition for my family to eat here when I come into town from Tennessee. I recommend the grits, toast and eggs! I've had the fired potatoes a few times but in my opinion they need a little more flavor or seasoning. The pancakes are so good I don't even use syrup-I know, I'm weird. But seriously try a bite with just butter! Mmmmm! Bottom line is this place is a jewel! If you're in Polk County it's worth the trip!"
"Typical diner that we found on Yelp not too far from our hotel. Taste was on point. If you have a large group, i would go early. The place started filling up after we sat down. It won't jump out at you if you drive by this place. If it wasn't for Yelp, we wouldn't have even known it was there!"
"We were regulars at the TIN CAN in Clearwater. JIm sold the business last year and now opened a new location. Same great food, larger, brighter place. Jim, Pam and Nicole are all still there. This place is awesome and you need to go try it out. Huge portions. The steak and eggs or Pork chop Bone In and eggs are excellent! Skillets are HUGE! Try the Pork medallions. They are the best!Unbelievable Steak and Egg Special! The tuna salad is the best around and the service is great. The menu is huge and there are also many Board Specials posted each day. Don't read the reviews posted from last year. They are for the previous restaurants at this location. The place turned over a number of times. It is not in a downtown area so traffic on Starkey can easily miss this place. It is in a strip mall on the North bound side of Starkey just North of Bardmore and before the Bowling Alley. Once people find out about this place it will be packed every day just like their old place, The Tin Can in Clearwater. This place has NEW ownership and is really fantastic!"
"Country fried steak is my go to. No matter what time of day it just hits the spot. But seriously everything is tasty depending in what your in the mood for."
"My wife and I enjoyed a late breakfast (10:30 a.m.) at the Wooden Spoon Diner located in the Imperial Christina Plaza at 6960 Florida Avenue S, Lakeland, Florida. The restaurant wasn't very busy at this hour and so we were seated right away. Our server Jeannie was attentive and cheerful. I ordered their three-egg omelet with feta cheese and spinach. (This combination isn't on the menu, but they are willing to make a special order.) The omelets come with your choice of home fries, hash browns, grits or seasonal fruit cup and toast or a biscuit. I chose hash browns and a biscuit. The omelet was delicious, and the hash browns were crispy, just as I like them. The biscuit was small but very tasty. My wife ordered the garden omelet that's made with tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and American cheese. She chose the seasonal fruit cup and wheat toast as her sides. She was also very pleased with her meal. We like supporting local businesses and the Wooden Spoon is one of our favorites! It is definitely worth the trip, and we will be back, soon! The Imperial Christina Plaza is located at the southernmost end of Lakeland at the intersection of South Florida Avenue and Shepard Road. Right before South Florida changes to North Church Avenue in Mulberry. There's plenty of easy parking, too!"
"Good breakfast! Take a look at that ham! That's real ham! I was good and I didn't eat the potatoes, or the toast. But I take myself to breakfast every payday, and also every Saturday. And today was this place in Tampa. A bit "rustic" which is a kind word of saying that it's old, and in a horrible neighborhood. In fact, it's the same neighborhood that the Seminole Heights serial killer stalked last year. But it was well worth the trip. Dodge a bullet or two, and you can have ham like this!! The waitress was extremely friendly and had a nice conversation with me. The food was excellent."
"We found this restaurant on Uber eats when we were looking for a new Mediterranean style restaurant. It was so good the first night that I ordered again the second night. Mind you, I don't eat meat so I don't have a lot of expertise on how a variety of their menu items taste but I can you tell 100% there falafels, rice, & hummus are the bomb!! Everything was prepared correctly and hot. Once again we ordered through Uber eats so I can't speak on their customer service"
