"So good. Loved everything we had here. The arepas were bomb. So we're all the pastries. Can't wait to go back!"

"We've driven by this restaurant and finally decided to have a bite. The interior is expansive and nicely appointed. We were there for lunch and were the only ones there.Starting off, we ordered their version of Chicha Morada which is a Peruvan purple corn drink. To my taste buds, it tasted like grape juice with a hint of cloves. It was very nice.Being newbies, we asked our waitress for some suggestions. We ordered the New York Steak and Shrimp and the Pascado a lo Macho. The steak was ordered medium rare and came out well done. It's served on a sizzling plate that had totally over cooked it. The steak looked like a broiled round steak. It said on the menu that it came with a House Salad. The House Salad was a bit of shredded lettuces with about teaspoon of dressing. (see pic) The steak was tough and flavorless. The shrimp were tender but also flavorless. I didn't send it back due to time constraints. I wouldn't order it again. The fish dish was much better. It was a fried Swai with a really tasty seafood sauce. As a heads-up, this is not a typical Latin or Mexican food restaurant. There are no chips and salsa or bread service. The meal was very pricey for what was served. FYI, the seating is very hard wooden chair...it was a tough sit."
"We came here for Valentines Day and overall such a fun ambience! We had great service and our food was amazing. I got the bistek and they cooked the meat so well that I finished my whole plate. Overall recommend coming here for Columbian food!"
"My friends were visiting Clearwater Beach, so I searched for a restaurant nearby for dinner. I'm SO grateful that Yelp brought up La Pollera Colorada because the food here was amazing! I love discovering new restaurants, and even moreso, impressing friends with delicious local eats.La Pollera Colorada offers Colombian dishes at very affordable prices. My husband and I shared the Parrillada for 2, which includes skirt steak, NY strip, Spanish sausage, blood sausage, chicken breast, and two side dishes of your choice (we chose rice and beans). I also ordered fried maduros to complete our meal. The meats served are HUGE, and this platter could certainly feed three or even four people. The skirt steak and blood sausage were my favorite entrees, but all of the meats are delicious and cooked to your preference. The maduros were not greasy, but I thought they could be a little sweeter. Our meal came out to $40, including a cafe con leche. You can't beat the quality AND quantity of this meal for the price! The restaurant is somewhat small inside, so if it's the weekend or common meal times, I imagine it may get crowded. Service was on the leisurely side, but everyone was very friendly. I also thought the temperature inside the restaurant was very warm.Overall, my friends and I had an excellent meal at La Pollera Colorada. I would love to visit again when I'm in the Clearwarter area once more."
"Very casual Latin American food restaurant with good tasting food. The portions are huge! My team and I ordered an entree each and there was definitely enough of each for everyone to share and sample. I didn't realize there was a side order size of the chicken soup and a dinner portion size that comes with two sides. The dinner portion is a small sink sized bowl! The soup is flavorful and rich. Loaded with chicken, carrots, celery and noodles. Very toke. I got double boiled yuca and it was enough to feed a village. The yuca was a little dry and bland. I asked for garlic sauce and dipping it made it more tasty. I expected more of a boiled soft consistency. The jalea had a good amount of seafood but the pieces were small and a little heavy on the batter. Good flavor batter though. It's located in a cute plaza with some neat stores and a tea cafe."
"Good service & food! Had a cafe con leche and beef empanadas. Their baked goods in the case looked so fresh as well. Looking forward to trying more food from this bakery/restaurant!"
"Some of the best chicken I have had in a while. Amazing flavor and juicy! I got the combo one which was a whole chicken and 2 large sides for $17.99!!! Great price! I got the yellow rice and corn cakes as my sides. The corn cakes were not what I was expecting, I was thinking more of the sweet yellow cakes which they weren't. The yellow rice was great and a large portion. I also got a side of plantains which were also great and hit the spot! The little side of red sauce added some great flavor."
"Ohhhh Momma! My reaction when this plate came out. My only complaint was I got the bottom of the pot rice, which is never my favorite.Aside from that, everything was delicious when I started digging. What else can I say other than I had plenty to take home for a second meal!We also ordered the taqueños to start which were fresh, hot, and fantastic. The two sauces used for the arepas perfectly complemented the taqueños.Only knock preventing the five stars was the rice. Great job all around!"
"A friend of mine brought me here for my birthday, she said I had to try it, and since tacos are one of my favorite foods I was looking toward to it.I had the three taco combo...one each of the Carnitas, Al Pastor, and Barbacoa, and we shared an order of the Birria fries. I also got an order of three empanadas to go for my son. This place is very small, not at all fancy, you order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table shortly after. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. If it was closer to my house, I'd be a lot fatter!"
"500 stars for this Columbian/Dominican restaurant! No, that's not a typo. The food is just THAT good! Open just two years, the hours are Mon & Tues 11:30 AM to 7 PM; Thurs/Fri/Sat 11:30 AM to 9 PM; & Sunday 11:30 AM to 5 PM. The restaurant is closed on Wed.A big fan of Oxtail, the tender Oxtail (Rabo Encendido Al Vino) @ $19.95 that arrived @ our table was soaking in a bath of special wine sauce. It was the BEST Oxtail I've EVER TASTED. I cannot wait to return for a second helping! The two sides I selected (rice & pinto beans) were unbelievably delicious-- so flavorful (see pic). The "Iconic Columbian Dish," which is Bandeja Paisa, @ $18.95 was also EXCELLENT. You MUST SEE THE PHOTO! It was a HUGE entree that consisted of bacon, grilled steak, rice, beans, fried egg, pork rind, chorizo, maduro, arepa, & avocado. (The steak was especially tender & delicious.) Be prepared to take home lots of leftovers! The Fried Calamari (Calamares) appetizer @ $10.95 was very good-- not at all chewy. The Yuca Fries included in it were GREAT, & the Sweet Plantains side was good. We are excited to Return & Return & Return so we can once again order the sides of rice & beans; try the Arepa Con Queso appetizer; the Stewed Goat; Milanesa Pork Loin; Grilled Skirt Steak; Yellow Rice w/ Chicken; & one or more of the five delicious-sounding Monfongos (a Puerto Rican plantain dish). Oh, & of course once again enjoy more Oxtail & the Iconic Columbian Dish! There are three desserts on the menu: Tres Leches; Flan de Leche; & Flan de Maracuya @ $4 to $4.50. Beverages include Columbian & American sodas; juices; Lemonade; Iced Tea; Bottled Water; 5 Coffees; 1 Tea; & Pony Malta (a nonalcoholic energy drink). There are DAILY LUNCH SPECIALS that range from $9.95 to $12.50. They include soup on Mon, Tues, Sat, & Sun; Stewed Chicken on Thurs; & Sautéed Beef/Chicken on Fri. (Tripe is the Sunday soup.) The dining room holds 10 tables; it was very clean. The interior decor is casual & comfortable, & the clientele is mainly from Columbia & Puerto Rico (according to Manager Fabian). We were the only Caucasians seated here @ the time. I am optimistic that once word speads about the quality of the food, more diners will choose to eat here. It's truly a SUPERIOR restaurant. Although the chef gets a loud round of applause for his immense talent, Manager Fabian was also impressive! I had never before seen a restaurant manager work so hard beside his staff. He was front & center assisting w/ every aspect of the business. He also took the time to approach every table to assure there were no customer concerns. Amazed w/ our food, we spoke w/ him at least three times. He answered our menu questions & checked on our service. Just an incredible person to manage a restaurant! There's no question we'll return! Five days later I finished my Oxtail w/ rice & beans. It all tasted just as DELICIOUS on Day 5 as it did the day I ordered it. That speaks VOLUMES!"
"Whenever I'm traveling for work and want a good local spot for lunch, I will inevitably go to one reliable source which has seldom given me a bad recommendation: the building security guards. These folks have the important job of ensuring the safety of the employees as well as the facility, and in doing so, they work up a healthy appetite. So when I was in Tampa recently and noontime rolled around, I chatted with the guards and they enthusiastically said to hit up nearby Mi Tierra Latina. Even though the literal translation of the restaurant is "My Latin Land," as my co-workers and I were being seated, one of the servers explained that this place specializes in Colombian food...which is awesome since I've had limited exposure to this type of cuisine. There is a shoebox sized dining room with a few tables/chairs, and a small bar area. Pictures and art work from Colombia adorn the walls, and there were a few TVs - some of which had Spanish language news programs, while other units were playing a soccer match.I went with the server's suggestion with the "safe" but familiar options of beef empanadas and Colombian style tamale. The DC area is lousy with Central American spots which serve up empanadas, but this version was quite different than what I'm used to. The deep fried exterior was not braided and used a deep yellow corn flour for the shell. The filling also had a different texture, in that it was ground meat, as opposed to the shredded I usually eat. It was still very good, and I enjoyed the green aji sauce. I asked for another small "chili" sauce, since it wasn't particularly spicy. As for the Colombian style tamale - I LIKE IT! Having previously lived in Texas and traveling to SoCal often to visit family, I'm very familiar with the more commonly found "Mexican" style tamale in the U.S. The Colombian variety is still steamed in a banana leaf, and the ingredients are still wrapped in a ground corn maseca, but the flavor profile is totally different. Also, again as opposed to shredded pork, at Mi Tierra, the pork were cut into cubes and steamed with potatoes, peas, and carrots. The Goya Sazon flavor also permeated the tamale and enhanced the salt and other spices. Couple this with the rice and fried plantains, and I was ready for a nap when I got back to the office. This is a cool local spot, and I observed people from all walks of life - office drones, construction workers, police officers, etc. - stopping in to either get food to go, or hope to snag a coveted open table. This location is very close to the airport, so if you're staying nearby, or have business in the area, I recommend stopping by to sample some authentic Colombian fare."

Myself and most neighbors know about our neighborhood gem, so I'm a loyal eater! From the totally amazing taste and diversity pastries to the hot food. My go to are the cheese puff biscuits. Get them warm and you'll be a fan forever too. If you're looking to show off at a dinner party or a birthday, get a cake from here. It's just so damn good!

My first time ever going to a Colombian restaurant. It seemed awfully similar to Mexican cuisine. I had no idea what I was walking into and when I opened the door for the restaurant I looked left and saw a bar, straight ahead I saw a bakery, and to the right I saw dance club balls flashing light and massive TV screens. Of course soccer was on tv.First up were $6 beef empanadas. I thought they were pretty good. Certainly not as good as Empamama at Armature Works, but certainly above average.Up next I ordered a $38 Argentino Paisa Churrasco. It had a steak, brown beans, avocado, rice, an egg, pork, plantains, and a sausage. The steak was actually alright. There was a smokey/grill taste to the meat which I like. The sausage tasted weird. The pork stuff was inedible. I don't like white rice anywhere. And the beans were ok.For dessert I tried $1.75 Cocadas. It tasted like an almond joy minus the almond and minus the chocolate. Overall, I really enjoyed the coconut taste. Trying to get anyone here to explain menu items to non-Spanish speakers was difficult. They would mostly just repeat the name of the item which means I have no clue what it is.I think this would be a cool spot to get beers and watch soccer.

You will not find better prices on food. To my gringos, take a chance, try the hole in the wall spot. Get a platter and some cafe leche or sangria. Don't forget the hot sauce. Great stuff! You won't leave hungry or disappointed. Steak is good, sausage as well. Pork could use salt but it's still good. Beans are great and the rice is phenomenal. Cuban sandwich is non traditional but for $8 you get a sandwich, fries, and pop.

I stopped by Zarza at 4648 Cleveland High Blvd, Lakeland, FL., for a late lunch today. I arrived at 1:30 and the restaurant had a steady stream of customers, most opting for takeaway. Zarza doesn't have a specific lunch menu like it does for breakfast. You order at the kitchen counter, and you get a handheld device that lights up and buzzes when your food is ready for you to pick it up. I ordered the ¼-Chicken Special which comes with yellow rice, black beans, a 4-ounce side and a fountain beverage. I had the fried sweet bananas as my side. The chicken was moist and delicious. The side dishes were also very tasty. I will definitely be back to try some of the other offerings on their menu. (Also, Zarza has just opened a second restaurant in Winter Haven and with food this good, I'm sure it will be a success! I can't wait to try it!)

Amazing food! I got the typical platter and there is a massive amount of food on there. Everything is so flavorful and tastes just as good as my mom's cooking. Our server was very kind and was very sweet to my grandma and made sure to get her a special meal since she doesn't eat much. While they are under construction, I am very excited for when they are fully refurbished and open again. There's a back door entrance with a very clean dining area that is a fairly spacious for the time being. This is my third time here and that kitchen is putting it work cranking out great meals! Can't wait to come back

"Driving through Hillsborough County today, we stumbled through the back roads and finally found an amazing pastry shop. It is dedicated to Colombian breads, pastries, and rolls. The absolutely amazing thing is they also serve breakfast, fast food , as well as, hamburgers!Coffee, avena, lemonade, Malta and other Colombian delights. There is a weekend menu also.Cheese bread, coconut bread, guava pastry, bread pudding, corn cake and the list goes on! So much to eat,so little time, and not enough belt holes! So when you're on a road trip or dining out in this area this is a great stop! It's a definite five star bakery, that I will return to the next time that I'm in this county. Thumbs up for Rolo's Bakeshop!"
"Authentic Colombian restaurant! Love this little hole in the wall restaurant not far from where the kids play football. It was a perfect dinner spot after the games. The staff was super friendly and helpful with making recommendations. Our server recommend the bendeja paisa, which was a delicious high protein platter covering the entire dish with steak, pork rind, sausage, plantains, egg, rice and corncake. The corncake was not edible for me, but the dish came with a fantastic bean soup I had every last drop of.It's super casual and clean, located in a strip mall. They have fun international snacks and cases of drinks to choose from."
"Finally authentic Mexican food in Florida! I'm originally from Socal and have been searching for good Mexican food here! This hit the spot! Ate my food too fast to snap a picture! Fresh, delicious and tastes like home. The only thing I'm upset about is they forgot my drink with my order, which is ultimately the delivery drivers fault for not double checking my order -_- would of been the icing on the cake to have a Mexican coke with these amazing tacos.. I'll be going here again."
"Delicious food; great prices, clean and accessible restaurant and VERY nice folks! The Bandeja paisa is my absolute favorite, but I also like their Chicharrón . The food is made fresh, to order, and I believe that is part of why it is so delicious. If you haven't been and you like Colombian fair, you must check out Cositas Ricas!"
"Authentic little neighborhood "hole in the wall." All the customers were speaking Spanish, so I'm thinking it is a favorite spot for people looking for "home cooked food." The parking is limited. It has a take out counter when you first walk in. The main restaurant has several tables. I ordered the Sunday soup special. I thought the chicken would be IN the soup. Instead, it was on a plate with the rice, two sweet plantains and a dollop of potato salad. The soup consisted of potatoes, plantains, a small piece of corn on the cob and spices. It was a little bland for me, but might be perfect for Colombian food. It was $12.99 which was reasonable considering the amount of food. I ended up taking the plated food home for another meal. Many of the entrees are between $25-$30. The server apologized, without me saying anything, for the time it took to get my food out, which I appreciated, since I thought it would be a lot quicker. My meal was $20 including a generous gratuity."
"This is one of our favorite places for Latin food. The pachangas and patacon are always hot and filled to the brim with cheesy meaty goodness! The arepas are toasty and fresh. All of meats are always fresh and well seasoned. We really have never had anything that wasn't good or fresh here. Don't know what to have for dinner? Want something different? Craving good Latin flavors?Pachenga Arepa it is!We will return over and over again to this location for the quality yummy food. Go eat here!"
"Really nice size bakery with lots of welcoming seating, and what seemed like a good variety of pastries. Sadly, by 3pm on a Saturday, lots of the display cases were already empty. I came in here to order a cheese pastry (quesito) for my husband, and luckily, there was 1 left. And while there, I saw what was labeled as a passion fruit mousse, so naturally, I had to order to try. My expectations of a mousse dessert is a soft, light and silky texture, and here is where this bakery missed the mark completely. You can see in the pictures, the texture was far from silky - in fact - it was more like a sour curd. I was so disappointed as I was already home and so looked forward to it. I wonder if I simply got a bad one, or if it was old and had been sitting there to curd. There are so many great bakeries in town, that I am not sure this visit earned a return. My advice on any mousse's here, is to check before leaving the store. I wish I had."
"We stopped by in the way to the mall here and it was a great choice. We got the Pandebono , Roscón de guava, Pan dulce and a croissant Jamón y queso. Everything was delicious and the service was fast. There was a little line but it went quick. There is a small area to sit and eat if you like. The ladies were nice and answered all the questions I had. Will definitely be back."
"I like coming here for mango drinks and the salchipapa and I will say I've had the burger before as well. The food is very good but I customize it a lot to my taste. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes my order comes out wrong. But late nights when I don't feel like driving far I come here."
"The best Colombian restaurant at this moment in the Tampa area.Let talk about the flavor, this is traditional Colombian food, no imitation. The service is amazing always attentive to any request. The ambiance is of humbleness, and traditional Colombian pride. It was worth the trip from Orlando. I'll be visiting them in the future, is my new Colombian restaurant in Tampa."
"Muy buena la atencion y elaboracion de los alimentos , el sabor muy rico, los jugos excelentes"
"Amazing Colombian restaurant. The food here is cooked very well and the atmosphere is very homey, makes me feel like I'm in Colombia. The waitresses are friendly and helpful and their menu is well rounded!"
"I love this place because everyone is so friendly. The portions are great and the arepas rellenas are HUUUUGE."
"This is a quaint family owned business with classic Colombian dishes located in kissimmee in what appears to be a railroad stop near a railroad track. We stopped in for a quick bite and got the traditional plate. It comes with carne asadas, rice and beans, plantains, salad and soup. The price was under $10 and it was delicious. We also ordered a empanada.Service was friendly and fast. We hope to come again and try more dishes."
"We ordered to go since we had our pup with us. We've seen the place everytime we're at Home Depot and we finally just went tonight after leaving HD. That was a good decision! We got the chicharon arepas and a steak something and I asked if they made yucca fries. She said no, but they made some anyways, which I thought was super nice! We'll definitely be back! The food was amazing! The beans was cooked perfect, the chicharon was crunchy and servings were huge! Such a hidden gem!"
"While on vacation and on the way out, decided to come here. It is a new place but we still wanted to give it a try. Parking lot is small but since it was night time, we found a spot right in front. My crew ordered soup with seco, which is rice, tiny salad and quarter avocado. I didn't ordered anything because there was not a veggie/ vegan plate option. Which was disappointing. They were happy with the soup. The customer service was great though. The decor is excellent."
"Buen ambiente al estilo Colombiano y sobretodo cerca de todas las demás áreas como Davenport y Orlando"
"Stopped by Rappi Colombian food truck today and I just have to say the service and the food was delicious! The man behind the counter was extremely patient and kind while we were taking time to order our food. Recommend anyone who wants TRUE authentic Colombian food to come here! We love the ambiance with the music and lights. Thank you!!"
"@Tarajroth told me about this restaurant where the Big Lots is located. In front of the Kissimmee Social Security office. I had to take a drive and find it. Located on Michigan and 192. Nice little place with a lot of character. The Christmas tree is up and the Spanish music is playing. It got me in the Holiday spirit.Maria was the first one to greet me. I explained I would be taking some pictures of her place if she didn't mind. I have found it's better to ask before I go ahead and start clicking. Especially in Kissimmee. : )This is the Pollo al horno (Oven baked chicken) with white rice and fries. Now remember this was all taken to go. I wanted to sit down and enjoy the ambience. Chuleta Frita (Fried Pork Chops), with white rice, salad, and fries. Colombian style. Very good. Well made. Shared the dish with some fellow Puerto Rican co-workers and they loved it."
