"Uptown Eats is about 1 mile from the Vinoy, where we're staying. Hubby and I decided to walk to breakfast this morning and it was well worth the walk. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food out to us.We both ordered the Two Eggs plate. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked as we ordered. We selected a biscuit, grits and cheese, and a side order of roasted potatoes. The biscuit was the best I've ever had. I wish I would have ordered extras (next time for sure!!). The grits were very flavorful as were the potatoes. We also ordered decaf mocha lattes which were so good.The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. They had a steady stream of customers, which makes sense once you've eaten there. This place deserves their almost 5 stars. I'll be sure to eat here again next time I'm in town!!"

"Food was good. Service was ok as well. My husband and I asked the waitress if there was any sesame in the food we were ordering, we were told no (by her and from the kitchen). We let her know my husband had a serious allergy to sesame seed or sesame oil. However, we were told again and again that there was no sesame seed while my husband was getting red like a tomato and choking and out of breath. Worriedly, I asked if the peanut sauce for the summer rolls or the spicy beef pho my husband was eating came with sesame oil. While I kept asking if there was sesame seeds or oil in the food we were eating, the lady kept telling me again and again that it could be the spiciness and I kept repeating my husband is used to eating spicy. After a while, the chef came and mentioned the peanut sauce for the summer rolls came with a bit of hoisin sauce and my husband had read the bottle on the table. Indeed, the hoisin had the sesame oil. The waitress took off the sandwich we ordered along with the pho. That was ok but it doesnt compensate. While it started as innocent dinner, it turned out to be a scary situation. To Saigon Cafe, please make sure you know the ingredients in the food. This could have turned into a tragic event. Thank goodness, it did not!"

"I went to East Lake Cafe in Palm Harbor today and had one of the thickest, juiciest patty melts ever. It's in the details: carmelized onions...melted swiss...Texas rye... Mhmm, they did it right. And if this tells you anything, I intentionally only ate half of it so I'd get to box it up and have it again later. So good! For anyone reading this that hasn't been yet, please give them a try the next time you're in their area. I'm glad I did!"

However they have a larger outdoor area for seating. Coffee was good enough to come back for a second and tried the Cuban version of a breakfast sandwhich. Interesting combination but definitely worth a try."

We chose this place because we had been to this restaurant before (twice actually) about a year ago when we first moved from California. For some reason, I could never get around to write a review although each time I've patronized this restaurant in the past the food was great. I even recall ordering the same sides each time although usually I like to get new things on the menu if I've been somewhere multiple times.On this particular visit, it was like I recalled. We were welcome upon entry, seated right away, and our order was taken in a matter of minutes. The vibe is always nice to say the least.The FoodI was with a party of 6. 3 out of 6 people ordered the same thing--Honey Hot Fried (dark or white) Chicken w/ 2 sides. I was one of the three that ordered honey hot fried chicken (dark--leg and thigh) with macaroni and Lima beans. I also ordered some buttermilk fried okra that was drizzled with sweet chili sauce and a green goddess sauce. The others in my party ordered fish bites and chicken and waffles...all of which they raved about. For some reason, I did not enjoy my food this time. The chicken wasn't the same flavorful chicken it was when I tried it a year ago. The chicken didn't taste like chicken; however, my husband who ordered white meat (breast/wing) loved his chicken. He said it was juicy & flavorful. His chicken looked just as good as he claimed it tasted, but my chicken was the complete opposite. The legs looked smaller than most chicken legs you'd come across & the taste was not there. The Lima beans were overly salted with Lawry's Seasoned salt and my macaroni just tasted like velvetta cheese mixed with noodles. I'm not sure if they changed recipes or have a new chef but it was just not the same. Why I'll Be BackI'm sure after that, you probably think I'll never return but you're wrong! I will indeed be back. Perhaps I got a bad plate this time. I'm choosing to look at the situation differently. I've seen Top Chef or other cooking shows where the chef gets all the plates completed to perfection but somehow he/she manages to mess one plate up. That's a consistency issue not a customer service issue. I'm willing to revisit to see if there's any modifications made. I'm willing to revisit because the young lady that seated us and the young man that also helped attitude was stellar. Ordered a bagel with almond butter and bananas the first day and enjoyed it enough to come back again. Coffee is decent. They use an industrial machine which grinds the beans before brewing. Looks just like the style you can find in a Sheetz gas station. Therefore it is not a standard espresso machine but still does a decent job."

It's a sunny, warm cup of good cheer-from the colorful murals and window art-to the cozy, comfy menu-to the bright and friendly staff-all my mornings should start here. Making all of this even better-I winged it! I had no idea idea I was coming until I realized I had some time before an appointment and turned to you, Yelp fam, for insight on "coffee near me." I quickly learned they had great parking and were easy to find (in The Pointe at Tampa Palms shopping center, with Red Lobster, Stonewood Tavern, Olive Garden, 7-Eleven and McDonalds) Off I went... into the happy looking storefront, to find the softest, tastiest plain bagel I've ever had (it was almost delicate and/or buttery!) and an absolutely divine hot chai tea latte. It was like drinking velvet-sooooo good. It's not big-but you don't want it to be. There's seating at the high counter, a couple of high tops, two or three tables and a love seat and easy chair. They offer breakfast sandwiches, specialty toasts- like avocado and peanut butter banana-plus all sorts of baked goods. I'm eyeing the cheddar jalapeño bagel for next time-and there will definitely be so many next times. I'll save you a seat!"

Growing up in St. Petersburg, I frequently visited the location in St Pete so when we arrived in Tampa and discovered there was a store here, we were very excited! I'm going to be completely honest, we did not explore the store in full. We came here to stock up the fridge with local beers for the week and we were blown away by the selection. Neal, the gentleman in charge of the beer selection is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. If you have any questions or need help looking for something to fit your tastes, he is sure to find something perfect for you. They have everything from sour ales to imperial stouts, hazy IPAs to pilsners. The best part is, everything is extremely fresh! We noticed beers that were canned just a few weeks before the date we were there. Overall 10/10 craft beer selection. We ended up stopping back four other times to try out other new beers and even noticed a few new cans on the shelves. Do not miss out on this variety if you are in Tampa."

Seating is open so you can sit anywhere you want. We were quickly greeted and drinks ordered. There are so many different options on the menu so it was such a hard decision. But I'm down to try the hash and eggs. Omgosh they came out perfect!! The crisp on the hash and the eggs were perfectly over easy. I got a peach tea (green) and it was quite delicious. The flavored tea is not refillable. I also got me a deviled crab to go which is made in house and was very tasty. Overall great experience and I left FULL!! I'll definitely be back and next time I'll get the guava green tea. This is definitely a neighborhood gem."

"The Society Table Restaurant was formerly known as The Sea Porch and is an outdoor and indoor poolside restaurant on the first floor of the north wing of the Don Cesar Resort, aka the Pink Palace of St Pete Beach! The Society Table serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a casual but upscale resort setting with a great view of the beautiful resorts pink palace style architecture, pool, palm trees, and partial view of the beach. The Society Table is an ideal spot to catch a nice sunset while witnessing memorizing pool reflections of the palm trees, colors of the sky, and the sunset!The Double Cheeseburger came with thick cut bacon, pimento cheese, Bourbon onion jam, on a brioche Hun with French fries. The Burger was huge and not too dry. 8/10 The Seared Scallops came with 4 huge scallops and charred corn, bacon, scallion, brown butter. The scallops were well Marinated and tasty. 8/10 The Whole Branzino came with a huge branzino Fish that hung off both sides of the plate, grilled asparagus, confit tomato, roasted potato, lemon thyme vinaigrette. This is a very filling meal and not a fish you can find at many restaurants. However, you do have to be very careful for bones! 9/10 The Seared Gulf Grouper is a locally caught favorite which came with parmesan herb risotto, melted leeks, zucchini, & shrimp butter sauce. 9/10 Our service was on the slow side but we had a large party of 6. Our dinner party took about 2.5 hours start to finish but it was time well spent. If you're in the St Pete Beach Area and not in a hurry, I highly recommend visting the Society Table for a nice sunset and dinner!"

I switched from Crepe to Special and number of times, the settled on Special: Medium rare beef tenderloin in a wrap with grilled peppers, onion, & feta in a wrapped pita with thin cut fries for a side.My wife enjoyed "The Faithful" crepe with ham, eggs, spinach, tomatoes in a buckwheat crepe, topped with Hollandaise sauce.Very pleasant and relaxed environment and wonderful "down to earth" staff."
