"This may have been my first time having Indian food in Tampa Bay? My friend steered this one because he loves Gateway to India and he ordered us the butter chicken, chicken tandoori, and some garlic naan. BIG fan of the tandoori, and I really liked the butter chicken as well. Zero complaints, I loved every minute of this dinner!"
"I've been searching for some really good southern food in central Florida and I've finally found it. Fred's is delicious and inexpensive. They even have a rewards program. We've tried breakfast and lunch and both we equally delicious. In addition to the food, they also serve up some southern hospitality as well. The team is so nice, it's basically like Sunday dinner at my grandma's house."
"Food was delicious, and no wait time! Drinks also came quick. Ceiling is painted like a sky and the highlight of the restaurant is the cherry blossom tree in the middle of the buffet section. Would recommended hibachi noodles and beef with garlic sauce."
"I do not understand some of these negative reviews of this place. My wife and I were in plant City and stopped in for lunch. The staff was so friendly and nice. The service was awesome. The food was delicious fresh and hot. We used to go to a buffet in Apollo Beach. Will you not go anymore because of the service and the food went so far downhill. Next time we're in plant City we would definitely be stopping in here. When I cleanest nicest restaurants I've been in a while. This is outstanding buffet and you definitely should try it."
"My family loves Chinese buffets and have been to almost every one from New Port Richey to Naples and Clearwater to Orlando and Daytona. No matter which ones we try, this one is still the BEST of them all. We come here at least 2-3 times a month, and everybody we've ever invited raves about it. Always busy so the food is always fresh, and their hibachi is great. I love this place!"
"We've been coming here for years with no major issues. Food is rotated often, service is friendly, and there is good selection of items to choose from. They also play some really upbeat music from time to time, which makes me feel like I'm at a party. My only gripe is that the sushi is not consistent. Sometimes they have nigiri--sometimes they don't. It can be disappointing. But with so many other foods to choose from, you'll never walk away from here hungry. I absolutely love their green tea ice cream for dessert. It's the only place I've had it from locally other than the grocery store. As long as they stay this good, I'll be coming here for years to come."

The service is Great, atmosphere is warm and inviting; the food is Excellent!Happy to take our good friends here tonight and broaden our palette!I'm usually not a lamb fan but our friends had the lamb Saag and his wife the shrimp Jalfrezi(It's a chicken dish but she substituted shrimp for chicken) Our chicken madras and chicken Marsala with yummy Naan bread were excellent! Man, I Love this place! Keep up the excellent quality and service. Bravo!

When in Florida (Tampa or Orlando) we make it a point to goto Fred's.Get little family restaurant that has never disappointed. We've been to three different locations and they ate pretty consistent (food-wise) .If you go on Saturday , try the shrimp creole .All dishes have that "home feel".I'm know I'm the majority here (south) but I do wish the veggies had meatless options (greens, cabbage, black eyed peas) :-( but I know where I am. :-)

The latest reviews about the food being okay are correct. We went for dinner on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. The sushi was okay but everything else was pretty "mid". I wish there was more flavor. We saw a lot of people with sushi on their plates which if you're just wanting to eat the basic then you can go here. Customer service was okay. Unfortunately, not worth the price.

My wife and I were craving Chinese food. This place had the best reviews around so we tried it out. We enjoyed the meal but thought it was just ok.We placed our order online for pick-up and headed over. We were given about 20 minutes for the food to be ready and that's how far it was from us.Kyoto Palace is located in a plaza with a bunch of other things including a movie theatre. The plaza was pretty busy. Kyoto Palace is a sit-down Chinese place. They have waiter service and even a buffet that I think is closed due to the pandemic still.I walked in and there were a ton of orders waiting to be delivered or picked up. It was busy so I figured it had to be decent. Our order was all ready to go and we headed home.I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice and my wife got the orange chicken with white rice. We also got a side of egg rolls. The food was hot and ample. A heaping serving of chicken over rice, covered in sauce. The sesame chicken had ok flavor but wasn't the best sesame chicken I have had. The fried was was also ok, again not super flavorful. My wife said the same about her meal too. Her orange chicken didn't have as much citrus as I expected or have had before from other places. The egg rolls hit the spot for me though. They were crunchy on the outside and filled with steaming hot veggies on the inside. I enjoyed these. We did have leftovers and saved it for lunch the next day. Unfortunately, this meal didn't reheat the greatest and wasn't as decent as it was the night before. All in all, it was an ok meal. I would be interested to sit down and eat here and see what that experience is like. The staff I encountered during pick-up were nice and the food was hot and packaged well. The flavor just wasn't there. I do feel since it is a frequented and busy location, the food turnover, and quality is better than some other random Chinese food places around town. This meal was ok. I think we would get it again but not we're not in any rush to.

I do travel all over the country for business, and when I have to stop for food, I do prefer buffets. Don't have to wait, just eat and hit the road again. Absolutely love this place!!! Pay before you eat, and here you can choose your place to sit. Food is good and fresh!!! Will be back again!!!Thank You!!!

Love this place. Old Florida feel with hearty breakfasts. We try to stop when traveling north. Omelets, fried chicken, pancakes are delicious.

I been here a few time. It's clean and not very huge. Only 2 table plus desert table where I usually go to. The other 2 I don't. It's okay not the greatest. I do like that they have a few seafood in the menu. Clams, cold shrimps, stuff oyster. My favorites is the baby clams. I do get the noddles, rice, clams, broccoli chicken. Sweet sour chicken is dry. I love their desert! I'm usually there 11:30 or 12 it should be fresh but some are not. Not too many beef selection. They do have sushi station and stir fry. I don't do I just want to get right into eating than waiting. So lunch is $12.99 and a drink my bill came to $17+ plus tip??? It was nice when buffet was $9.99. I get everything gone up but quality has gone down.

"5 stars for a greasy spoon diner with an easy going atmosphere. Friendly service and great food! I've only been here for breakfast so I can't speak to any other meal but it's become a tradition for my family to eat here when I come into town from Tennessee. I recommend the grits, toast and eggs! I've had the fired potatoes a few times but in my opinion they need a little more flavor or seasoning. The pancakes are so good I don't even use syrup-I know, I'm weird. But seriously try a bite with just butter! Mmmmm! Bottom line is this place is a jewel! If you're in Polk County it's worth the trip!"
"After reading several negative reviews, and only living a few miles south, I decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad I did. To start off, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the buffet was fully stocked with fresh food. Hands down one of the best Asian Buffers we've been to in Central Florida. It was a little pricey, but walked away knowing I would return!"
"THANK YOU Curry Leaves for finding your way to Lakeland! How did you know we were in desperate need of another good Indian spot?!But really, there have been at least 2 Indian restaurants in Lakeland that have closed the past few years- I only know of one other still nearby. As someone who lovessss this type of food it was so sad. So thank goodness Curry Leaves decided to move here! If I remember right, they were in the Brandon area before and then came here. When you first come to Curry Leaves, don't mind that it's connected to a Quality Inn. This couldn't be more of an oxymoron as the restaurant itself is super nice, clean and honestly even a little fancy. It elevates the Quality Inn, if anything. This is on my top list of Indian places I've been to- and that's saying a lot because I've tried a lot of Indian places. Even a family member of mine who hasn't liked this kind of food preciously enjoyed what she had here. They cook the lamb just right so it's soft and juicy. The naan is thick but cooked through and they even have a naan that has coconut flakes baked inside that's surprisingly good.On the weekends they have a buffet that I am definitely going to come try at some point. I have thoroughly loved everything I've had here. They do even have a full bar here too, and they serve Indian beer which my friend and I were very curious about. Highly highly recommend!"
"This place is one of my favorite because it's all you can eat and there's a wide selection of great tasting chinese foods.i would highly recommend to all."
"I came with my parents on a weeknight to enjoy some seafood. I can't say that I was blown away by anything. The only thing good was their Hibachi in the back. Everything else seemed pretty half-assed. Service was ok and the place was clean. The fried shrimp was not cleaned or peeled so it wasn't even worth the efforts to try to eat it. Same with the crab. The crab/crab legs were so small, and for some reason they fried it. It was basically fried shell. There was barely any meat in it and what you could find in the body of it was pretty awful. Sushi was decent. We didn't have any chicken or beef so I can't speak on how good or bad those are. I did like their mussels but those are pretty hard to screw up. I would not come back here though."
"Big surprise. Tried this for the first time and really liked everything I ate. Doesn't look like much from the parking lot. It's tucked away behind Chili's. I've lived in the area for almost a year and never noticed it. Light and bright inside and clean. All the usual dishes but done well and hot. The boiled shrimp and fried chicken were top notch. Glad we tried it. Will be back soon."
"This place only has one year running and do it well Food is very good ! waitress works so friendly. They have live music week end the price is average"
"Flavorless food, bad ambience. Not sure if it was a bad day or food is like this on daily basis. We had to leave half of the food we ordered. Hope they improve soon."
