Butcher N' Barbeque

I can't tell you if the meat is good or not because the few pieces in the burnt ends order were literally swimming in sauce. The sauce was not bad but overwhelming. Locked & Loaded Fries were ok, but again, I can't really say how good the pulled pork was as there is too much sauce and other stuff. My only other issue was the cashier. This is not a "service" restaurant. It's a fast food style joint in a food court. Which is cool for groups who don't all want to eat the same thing. The cashier had absolutely no personality and didn't really speak to us. We did all the speaking.

I love the fact that they we're located in a really busy cool food hall. The staff was friendly and helped me understand some of the items in the menu. I ordered the burnt ends and it came with corn bread and coleslaw. The coleslaw looked great but it tasted like it was left in the refrigerator without a lid. It just tasted like refrigerator, I know it's a strange description but that's how it tasted. The cornbread was mediocre. It came with whipped butter that did not taste like anything, it wasn't salted or sweet it just was there. It didn't add any additional flavor to the cornbread. The burnt ends were soaked in barbecue sauce. The sauce was delicious however the burnt ends were extremely dry. They had large amounts of fat but it was not juicy or tender at all. I was really disappointed in the food.

We spent the day in Tampa and used the water taxi to get us around. We went up to Armature Works to have lunch. I absolutely love BBQ and have had it from Texas to the Carolinas down to Bama and Georgia and even Florida. I immediately wanted to try Butcher and Barbecue. I ordered the brisket sandwich and some onion rings as well as a beer. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and should be complemented for their attentiveness and customer service. The brisket sandwich was very good and full of flavor. The brisket was cooked good and seemed to have a good mixture of lean and fatty. The slaw on top was very good and fresh. This was the star of the show so very nice. The fries were crisp and fresh. The onion rings were a bit greasy. I will say that I was not a fan of the BBQ sauce. However, this is a personal taste and everyone is different. Overall, I enjoyed B&B but it isn't going to rank in the must visit BBQ locations.

To put it simply, this place is not good in any way. To start, the staff was unpleasant not greeting with a smile or even a hello. It appeared as if someone was forcing them to work there. Secondly the food was some of the worst I've ever had. I had the tri tip and my girlfriend had the cheeseburger. The tri tip was extremely dry and tasted as far as you can get from being fresh. The cheeseburger was by far the worst hamburger I've ever had in my life. Somehow it tasted like body odor. The portions were noticeably small for the price you pay. This establishment does not care about their customers or the quality of food that they produce, they are simply out to get your money.

How do you choose from all the quick service options at Armature Works? If you like barbecue, definitely give this place a try. Food is excellent, great sandwiches, fries are really good, and breakfast options are also great. If you go during brunch, try the biscuits with honey butter, so good! They'll give you a pager for when your order is ready. Love being at Armature Works and this is a great option for quality food.

The coleslaw was basic so nothing to brag about. My cornbread was good yet very small. The ends was very tender, an item I would get again.

Line was halfway decent for being overly crowded for 4th of July event, and they do honor military discount, however, the food was not at all good here, especially not worth the price! Pictures were deceiving. We ordered loaded fries, chili dog with fries, potato salad (only good item), and Philly sandwich. All items tasted gross, so disgusting, the presentation sloppy, food tasted old, fries were too hard and all this junk for $75?! Plus you add a service charge, for what?? What a disappointment. When fast food places or restaurants jack up their prices, at least have some pride in selling good food! We work hard too, and would support your business often, had we just simply received good food.

The sweet girl behind the counter recommended the BBQ Bano sandwich and I'm so glad she did! It was so tasty and nice. I sat in front of the BB at a table, and a nice family from Wales sat next to me. They all ordered the brisket meal and said it was so good! Thanks for a great and huge sandwich :) The fries were awesome. I would say 4.5 stars but I'll post 5 because I feel like all the other reviewers must be off to a degree, it is worth visiting. I was given a red alert button so when my food was ready it vibrated. Was a really good experience!

Ordered burnt ends (brisket), with slaw & cornbread. $17. Brisket was served swimming in heavy dark bbq sauce, small serving slaw & sm. cornbread square. Removed portion of brisket from pool of sauce & once pulled apart palatable as sauce was spread out some.All tasted average, portions too meager, sad really.
