I would said this BBQ place brought to Progress Energy Village a meaty place for community. It is not the budget BBQ place. Price is a bit high among all the BBQ place I have been to. However, they do have a good tasty BBQ. We got the three bone rib with chicken and two sides. The rib has good seasoning and moist meat. Well seasoning to the bone. The meat also separated from the bone which good technique. The BBQ chicken is well smoked flavor. Juicy enough for it. The collard green and rice are the good side. I would suggest more attractive side that is different than most BBQ place will make them unique. So far they just among the BBQ place and nothing special.

Do not go here at this time if you want bbq. The person who use to bbq the meats no longer works there . Also, I was unable to try any of the deserts because the person who usually makes them didn't bring them any. I was looking forward to ordering the ribs and chicken combination with two sides and was told that is not available. I ordered the chicken wings dinner with mac and cheese and baked beans . Wings and mac and cheeses were flavourful and seasoned well and the baked beans were perfectly sweet. The wings were freshly prepared. The name and menu need to be updated to reflect the current menu options.

So this was an accidental find..we were going for one spot but when we got there it was closed. Inside is a counter to order. The menu is on the board and easy to read. There is a large eating area next to the counter in a separate space.The drip fries are crispy fries topped with baby shrimp and cheese sauce and parmesan cheese and cajun seasoning. The fries were plentiful but the shrimp was much too small to be enjoyable. I believe if they used small shrimp vs baby/salad shrimp this would push this dish way high. If I'm ever back in Tampa I wouldn't mind other dishes on their menu and their cakes!

This place is down the street from me and I never knew! You can definitely smell the smoke in the air when you get close to the establishment! A long line but that's a good thing. It means the food must be good. Had an ok wait time. Now onto the food it was definitely good. The Mac was super flavorful and the greens were on point! But the chicken although packed with flavor was very very small. The smallest portion size of meat from all the barbecue spots around. It's unfortunate bc it was so dang good. That's the reason for the four star. I'll def be back to try more. As usual pics below.

Ordered the rib drip and my husband had the combo drip. Both were very good. It's a drive for me so I don't frequent as often but when I have it's been all good. I only gave 4 stars because the customer service wasn't the best. Need to be more welcoming!

Amazing smoked barbecue! I am so glad they are near my house so if I am craving some fall of the bone BBQ, I can stop by and pick it up. It's a small hole in the wall type shop that has a family feel. I have had their ribs, brisket, and fries and all were delicious. You can smell the smoker when you get near the place. It feels like homemade food and is just great for the soul. Make sure you get some of their sauces before you leave!

The food was delicious. The service was quick, pleasant & efficient! The Strawberry Banana Pudding is a MUST HAVE.

Food was excellent! We will absolutely be back there. This is coming from someone who spent almost a decade in Kansas City.

Almost $1.00 extra to use Apple Pay. Apple doesn't charge vendors a merchant fee, so why up charge the customers?
