This location is phenomenal! Penelope and Jacob are just as sweet as can be. They are so helpful and informative. Jacob is always so sweet to my kids too, my one can be quite inquisitive.I love the products here. They smell great and I love the more clean options (less additives and such). The mystery boxes are also super fun, my kids love these!Most of all, their laundry products are my favorite. The narcissist smell is amazing and we typically have quite sensitive skin. We have had no issues whatsoever with these laundry products. We will be back!!! Love this location and the great products!

I stopped by Buff City Soap in Midtown Tampa to pick up some bath bombs for my friend, learned more about their products, and left with their most popular products... laundry detergent! If you're on a health journey like I've been for most of my adult life, you've likely transitioned or are transitioning to non-toxic cleaners and products. Buff City Soap is my newest obsession. My whole family enjoys coming here, even the dog! Parking is super easy in the Midtown garage and we always bring the dog for a nice little walk in the square. No trip is complete without a little splurge at BCS. The kids always talk me into a bath bomb and I have a stockpile of their laundry detergents as they are the best! I have even hosted my daughter's birthday party here! The staff is very kind and helpful and will make you anything you want or if your product with your favorite smell isn't on the shelves. I highly recommend hosting a party here because everyone gets to dress up like mad scientists for a guided class on how to make soap or bath bombs and you get an automatic party favor!! I also love the mystery boxes which are a great value. They have a great rewards program and often offer great promotions and discounts. Keep an eye for direct mail with free soap!

If you can take a trip to Midtown Tampa and NOT stop by Buff City Soap, you're a stronger person than I am. I love to walk around the clean and inviting store, smelling all of the different soaps. They even have a few fall scents out already! The associates are always friendly and helpful, and the shop is laid out well so that you can easily move from display to display. I eventually make my way to the area with the items in the Narcissist fragrance though, because it is my favorite. I'm currently washing my bed linens in their Narcissist laundry detergent, and I'm swooning over the lovely smell.There was a group for a birthday party coming in the door as I left today, and it made me think about how fun it would be to have a soap making party here.

This is the only shop I buy soap from in Tampa. Everything smells amazing and I love that the soap is sulfate and chemical-free. Everyone is always nice in the store and I recommend it to anyone looking to switch out their typical Dove soap routine to a more chemical-free one!

I was first introduced to this spot during a Yelp Elite event a year ago and have been back several times since after having taken advantage of their special for buying $50 and getting a free bar of soap for a year. Trust me, that was worth it! What sets them apart from the rest is that YOU CAN SEE the workers making the soaps right there in house. Is there a lotion or a sugar scrub in which you want a special scent for? No problem! Ask them to make it for you, and they will! The products are outstanding too and come in a large variety of wonderful scents that change seasonally. The soaps make is a joy to clean and leaves my skin nice and soft without any kind of film or residue. The lotions are whipped creams that you only need a little to go a long way and it leaves you smelling great on top of moisturized. As a special treat to myself, I love using their sugar scrubs. It is very fine in texture, and a like their body creams, a little goes a long way to buff out the rough areas of your skin that leaves you perfectly smooth. The staff here is always super nice, and the store itself is tidy and clean with all their products beautifully displayed. I love coming here with my sweet little Muffin by my side, and she too loves to come here (but of course, she loves it for other reasons--she can't come here without being shown lots of love by staff and other patrons!).They also offer a wide array of candles, bath bombs, lip balms, laundry soaps, and other products for laundry care that's worth checking out. I myself had the pleasure of using a bath bomb as a birthday freebie! BTW, it's very much worthwhile to participate in their rewards program!

Ok yes I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! I've gotten friends, family and coworkers turned to BCS now too! I visit monthly of course to collect my free bar that I got by being one of the first 50 in line during their grand opening event. But every time I come, they are having some type of awesome sale and I leave with a bag of goodies lol. Staff is always sooo friendly and available to help you find what you're looking for. My favs include the charcoal face bar, the narcissist shave bar and the narcissist body bar. I also really like the soap holders they have here too! Come check this place out if you haven't already. But be ready to become addicted!!

Great soap store in midtown. Lots of parking available. The staff were very sweet and attentive. They offer more than just soaps. They also have great detergent. Overall, great place.

Well, I never expected myself to be in a store that sells soap and related skin and personal care products. Yet here I am. Head that this place was opening in the Midtown plaza, where I've been to many other stores. Wife wanted to check them out for Mother's Day so i decided to oblige and tag along. Parking is plentiful in the surrounding garages, which was great. We needed up being there on the 3rd day of grand opening weekend and scored a couple of freebies, which was a nice bonus.First impressions? The store is bright, colorful, and actually smelled good! When you walk in, they have all of their various scented items organized into their own sections, which included soaps, lotions, laundry detergent and other associated items. The staff was helpful and always checked to make s=they answer any questions we had and to direct us to product we might be looking for.Long story short, I got soaps, detergents, lotions, and soap bar holder/loofah. They have men's products in there selection so I didn't feel left out at all. To be honest, I liked the different scents and many actually reminded me of my wife (I guess she e=smells like lavender and other stuff...lol). The really nice thing is that all the products are organic and pretty much made in house. Nice change from the standard chemicals used in body washes and other similar products. I'll try these products out and if I like them and they do what they're supposed to do, I'll be back. If you get a chance to go to Midtown, at least drop into Buff City Soap and take a sniff. It might surprise you and you'll walk away with a bunch of stuff like we did!

The store is a very cool concept and the set up is aesthetically pleasing. I enjoyed walking around here while passing the time. They had a cool sink set-up where you could test some products and wash them off which I found to be a nice touch.Sadly, the products I sampled did not live up to the hype. Keep in mind scents are super subjective. Almost none of the soap bars I smelled had any scent except for the peppermint one (I believe it was called "breathe easy" and meant for congestion). I tried the foam hand soaps, epsom salts, soap whip, and lotion sticks. No luck finding a pleasing and present smell. I went so far as to use the hand soap, soap whip, and lotion sticks on my hands but could not smell a thing. Perhaps if I bought some thing and gave it a few chances at home I would feel differently, but I did not find anything I would want to spend money on.That being said, while I was there they were hosting a bath fizzy class where you were able to make some and bring them home, which I think would be a fun experiencing worthy of the time and money.
