This was my first time at Boulevard Beef & Ale. The front is small and intimate, with a large table in front and small tables by the bar & barstools. The back room appears ready for large groups, and there are more tables out back by the small parking area. The wait staff was pleasant and accommodating. I had the onion soup and chicken salad. Both were delicious. Compliments to the Chef! My only concern with this venue was the heavy smell of cigarette smoke in the back. I noticed it as I walked in after parking in the back. I noticed it again as I left. I am highly sensitive to any strong odors, especially cigarette smoke. But that's just me. And when I return, I'll look for a parking spot out front to avoid this scent.

We stopped in on a whim, there was a great crowd in downtown NPR for wine tasting event...all these people were a blast! So we chose Blvd Beef & Ale, because it was quiet and less crowded than all the other places and because we support small businesses! It was quiet inside with a weird vibe, the waitress/bartender was super nice but there was definitely a lack of good ambiance. The places looked super clean but was also in need of a little TLC - they are managing a bar area, a dining area, and a back patio We stayed in the bar area & had some amazing drinks (which were well priced), and some okay food. Now we didn't order anything crazy, just a steak bites appetizer, a Cobb Salad, and a Stuffed Pineapple Chicken salad. In the end our bill was $71 dollars. I wished it was better, I did not read reviews prior to going, and while the waitress/bartender we had was super nice, everyone seemed grumpy.

I only left a 2 star review on this place, however it seems to have switched to 5 stars! Definitely not my choice!

We just returned home from lunch at BBA. And we won't go back. There was only one couple beside us there, but service was incredibly slow! There were two waitresses, and one was more interested in her phone. Wife ordered Grouper plate, and I ordered grouper sandwich. They were listed as broiled, but both were nearly sushi! Way under cooked. Her plate it was supposed to be topped with crab meat but less than a tablespoon to be had (although she said it was good what little she had) Her sauce was also edible. My sandwich came with two slices of tomato that were pale as a sheet and had no flavor. lettuce was wilted. They were "out" of tartar sauce (?!) Bun was good. As a side (wife had none offered with her meal) I had Mac N Cheese. It was not as good as a box mix, no taste at all! Wife had a mixed drink and I had a beer, total for dinner was $56... I don't see how they stay open.

The restaurant was nearly empty at 5:20 pm. There was a 6 top in one corner and the waitress told us to sit anywhere. It was a bar with a dining area down the hall. It does have outdoor dining as well. Food took about 30 minutes. 2 meals were as ordered the last was mixed up with mine plain meal. The grouper Oscar was good but very small. The chicken was over cooked, macaroni and cheese bland and the grouper sandwich was missing dressing. Waitress was very attentive. To get the check we had to wait at the bar to get it tallied. Somehow they charged $100. 00 for 3 plates that did not cost over 20.00 each and one soda. Will not return. Do not recommend dining there. There are many other nicer restaurants in the area.

Excellent! I would not have expected such delicious food with such a beautiful presentation from a little pub! Cute and cozy inside and covered seating outside. Our server was very attentive but didn't hover. I had the most interesting pasta dish that was fantastic! I never had anything like it. Pear pasta, begger's purse (they actually looked like little change purses) stuffed with cheese and pears and a creamy white sauce with asparagus! It was sooooo good. What a little gem I never knew existed!

Stopped by last week with another couple that heard good reviews about this place. I tried the Mediterranean pork chops and the other couple tried the OMG pork chop. Both were terrible and overcooked. Won't try this place again.

Built in an old hardware store, this is an interesting location . The menu is interesting with a wide selection of entrees. Our service was a hoverer, understandable we were her only table. The food could be fantastic with a few minor adjustments- spinach dip was not heated all the way through and the presentation was lack luster. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked, moist and obviously not a frozen fish. However the sautéed spinach had way too much garlic, served with too many whole garlic cloves. The pear and goat cheese beggars purse pasta was delicious-although the béchamel lacked the traditional nutmeg. With a little tweaking this could be an outstanding restaurant
