Where can you get a good strong coffee for $1.25 in Tampa?! No where but here. Hot meals for $7.99 feed two people and the service is always friendly and attentive. Best place to buy local and Latin American coffee in Tampa (great prices). Bought my ingredients for my rice con candules party rice here and it was a show stopper for Thanksgiving.

This is a very good Latin supermarket where you can buy whole palomillas and you get the butcher service you would normally get in smaller supermarkets. It is really nice that Tampa still has places like this where you can get international food and butchers that know how to prepare the different types of cuts.A hidden gem for roast pork as well. On the weekends they do $1 Pan con Lechon (pork on cuban bread), Frituras de Bacalao (Cod Fritters), and then roasted pork for $5.99. The amount of roasted pork they give you in one single meal will feed 2 people for easily 2 entire meals.

Yeap 4 stars! We love shopping here, great grocery store located on Columbus. Very inexpensive veggies to meats, fish, ice cream, Goya products, really good olive oil and smiling faces. They also have an amazing food stand inside the store. When you walk in, you get a whiff of whatever special they have for the day. Yellow rice, black beans, roasted chicken, chicherorones (fried pork belly), and so much more. They also make a mean shot of expresso and cafe con leche. I adore a good cup of cafe con leche. Since my Spanish is no bueno, it's hard for me to ask questions. Not many staff knows much English but that doesn't stop me, I shop here atleast once a week. With google images, nothing is impossible.

One of the larger independent grocery/meat markets along Columbus, located in the same strip with the Florida Bakery. Was closed for some time, directing shoppers to Tropical Market up the street but new remodeled and reopened. Offering Latin-leaning non-perishables, plus fresh/frozen meats, a produce section, sandwiches and prepared food to go....making this one of nearly 20 shops between Himes and the river offering hot food & drink....so my exercise walk presents no risk of starvation.
