Bonu’ Taverna Italiana

I've passed by Bonu more times than I can count but never had the chance to go in. A friend and I finally decided to stop in on a Friday night around 5 and we were seated straight away. The place definitely got busier by the time we left so that was a good sign it's a popular with locals. We first ordered some bites to share -- the grilled octopus, arancini, and a side of brussel sprouts. My friend also ordered the seafood linguini which we ultimately shared since it was a decent sized dish. All of it was so incredibly delicious! I was drinking Calafuria rosé which was honestly one of the best rosé's I've ever drank. Our waitress Breana was incredibly nice and made herself very available to us. We were even checked on by the GM which was great. I can't wait to go back here -- dishes we saw passing by looked so delicious which I'm dying to try in the future!

I wouldn't recommend Bona Italian Restaurant, especially on a holiday. We made our reservation well in advance, specifically requesting to be seated inside. However, when we arrived, we were seated outside, despite our prior request.The staff wasn't particularly friendly or accommodating when we brought this up, which made the experience even more disappointing. On a night meant to be enjoyable, the lack of effort to make things right left a negative impression.Needless to say, we won't be returning. There are plenty of other Italian spots that value their customers and provide better service.

We have been waiting to try it here and we finally did, this past weekend. The waitress was pleasant and usually there when we needed her. Hostess very nice. The high top near the bar gave off a cool vibe and the window view was nice. The wait time on our dishes coming out were normal and no complaints there. The dishes we ordered were as follows meatball app, fresh baked bread, gnocchi, Arancini, pizza with mortadella, cocktails, and espresso to finish. The gnocchi were good no complaints, arancini not bad, the bread good and flavorful, my Negroni spot on, pizza lots of flavor, espresso couldn't ask for better. Now the meatballs hmmmm, so their were 3 I had my first meatball and thought wow tender and no odd tastes! Yay great! Because I love a good homemade tender meatball, so I asked my son wasn't that great and he looked at me with an odd look and said not bad I guess which puzzled me because I am a meatball junky. So I asked if he wanted to split the 2nd and he said no, ok then. I bit into the second meatball and thought with total confusion what happened, not tender, chewy, fast cooked or something (not the same meatball I just ate) and the nice slow cooked meatball was gone. Sad they are Inconsistent with the meatballs . But I thought everything else was great, no other complaints and I'm looking forward to going back in the near future for everything else. Food 8.5 Ambiance 9.0 Service 8.5.

Celebrating our son's 21'st in style at Bonú! Great atmosphere, great service just great all around! House Cabernet is excellent; meatball appetizers with "crostone" grilled bread. Ravioli (lobster) was amazing too much to list too good! Bravo Bonu-see you again soon.

We were shopping on Central Ave and just stopped at Bonu for a drink and some apps.Wow! The apps were so amazing and full of flavor. We had other dinner place but plan to return for dinner very soon.

I ate here this past Saturday night around 8pm outside with 3 other people, we were sat right away. They had heaters going which was nice because it was chilly. Our waiter was fantastic he forgot my friend's ginger beer but when reminded he apologized and said it was on the house. We started with a pizza as an appetizer to share and it was the perfect amount of food. We all got dishes with pasta which were excellent followed by some of the desserts which were also tasty. At the end of the meal our waiter packaged our leftovers up for us. It was a very pleasant experience and I would eat here again.

We went here to meet up with some old friends. Spent quite a bit of $ and were asked to leave about 5 minutes after wrapping up our meal for another "reservation." I didn't even have time to finish my drink. The manager suggested we move to another table to "wrap up." Kind of killed the evening- felt bad after spending so much $. We won't be back!

Salmon was yum yums but had to much orange juice. Bread yum yum eat it up. Pasta was approved. The pizza was yum yums in my tum tum. They took a while with the drinks.

Authentic Italian in a buzzy and insta-worthy spot, our entire group loved their meals. I appreciated the mocktail options, including a mocktail aperol spritz which is hard to find and so tasty! The burrata was phenomenal and the pesto pasta still has me dreaming weeks later. A great spot for a celebration or date night, service flavors and experience were all a knockout.

I have been there 3x and will be back. Working my way thru the menu! Just had the Seafood Linguini and it was amazing! If your lucky enough to have Antonio there maybe he will drizzle some if his mom's homemade olive oil!!
