Service was good - the barkeep was on top of it... Not too chatty, but a good recommendation. Beware: food is spendy. $67 for a Filet...prime NY for $61. Anyway opted for French Onion, shrimp & 2-4 oz filet mignon, and an a la carte potato dish - all delicious! Maybe pricing changes when tourists leave. I wouldn't say it's a jovial atmosphere but the food was delicious.

You must try the grouper(local and fresh ) and the potatoes. For the kids get the pizza. It's huge and their wine selection I so extensive and reasonable. It's a must try if you are here. They have valet if you wish. Very limited indoor AC area and some outdoor area. But it's a must go get f your in Clearwater. The bistrós potatoes is delicious but can be shared by 3-4 adults. It's huge

The food was fantastic (have lived in Atlanta for a while, where celebrity chefs and amazing dining is plentiful. Bobby's holds up). It's not a huge menu and the restaurant was quiet on a week night. But this little Bistro is a far cry from the touristy vibe that has (sadly IMO) become Clearwater beach. The prices were not bad given the incredible quality of the food, wine and service. The chicken piccata was perfection!Even the bread and olive oil we had with a generous pour of wine was delicious. And I wanted to swim in the sauce of the sherry shrimp appetizer!! DO NOT MISS the potato! The service is personable and attentive. Bobby's is a hidden treasure that exceeded our memory from our last visit years ago. You won't be disappointed. If you are in Clearwater and want something that's a bit upscale and stands out from the touristv spots (and is reasonably priced, unlike a ridiculously expensive meal we had a the Opal Sands hotel), definitely have dinner at Bobby's. Check their hours and call ahead if you can. They don't stay open late and are only open 4-5 nights/week depending on the season.

For the same money I highly suggest you go across the way to their incredible other location The Beachcomber instead!!!! That is 5 stars and excellent service, ambience and live piano music!!! Sides are included with your entree. It's much more special in every way so it is well worth it.

This place has been going downhill. Been coming here since it opened. Very under staffed and mediocre food. Burger was very bland, dry salmon and the potatoes were just so so. The only things good were my onion soup and my glass of wine. Bartender nice but he was completely in the weeds as I've seen him like that before. It used to be nicer here when they had the chefs cooking in the little kitchen in the dining room where people could see them. $8 for a cup of black regular coffee and a few refills...

My husband and I decided to come in because we enjoy a nice glass of good wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the great menu for their food offerings, as well. I would have given this a five star rating, however, the music playing loudly over the speakers for our romantic, candlelit dinner ruined everything. Whoever picked honky-tonk and club music for such a beautiful establishment should be fired. We were told the music is set and cannot be changed. It would be better to just turn it off altogether in this case. Regardless, our food was exceptional and our service was outstanding. Oh, and the wine was everything we hoped for after several days of nothing but beachy rum drinks.

The 2 things I liked about this place was the outside patio and the bread basket. Otherwise, it was a poor experience for me.Had the California Pear Salad, which was fine but nothing special.Tried the Best Burger with two types of cheese - borsin (typically a very mild garlic cheese) and cheddar. This was the worst burger I ever tasted. I'd describe it like a pine tree. I mentioned to the waiter that it wasn't good and he told me the chef thought it was a bad combination of cheese flavors. First, neither cheeses should of tasted like a Christmas Tree. Second, if the chef thought it was a poor selection- why not TELL me before cooking it. Third, what a poor response by the server when I told him my meal was not good.I woke in the middle of the night with horrible stomach cramps. I've concluded that they put spoiled cheese on my burger.

We came here on our vacation in Clearwater and came in here not knowing what to expect. My parents and I got the filet (we were in the mood for steak) and it was easily one of the best filets I've ever had! The red burgundy wine sauce on it was fantastic. We also got a side of the vegetables for that day which was green beans and mushrooms in a creamy mushroom sauce and it was SO DELICIOUS!! I could've eaten the whole plate of them and lastly my dad got the Boston cream pie and i got the apple strudel which were also fantastic. The apple strudel did have raisins in it which i wasn't expecting but nonetheless delicious!

My husband and I had a great time! The ambiance was nice and cozy. They had Christmas decorations so it made it festive. It wasn't super busy which was good. We had the scallops as an appetizer, they were outstanding! Great flavor, good size and perfectly cooked. They had a nice selection of wine.George was our bartender and he was very attentive, friendly and pleasant. Needless to say to say the service was amazing! We would go back!

What a walk down memory lane this is!!! We haven't been to Bobby's Bistro, or its more upscale sister restaurant the Beachcomber in years. Twenty years ago, these two restaurants were the absolute "It" place, the best in Tampa. Amazingly, the decor is exactly the same as 20 years ago but somehow doesn't look dated at all. The food was fantastic. We met George, our server, who is a bit of a celebrity, and he was super nice and gave me a supersized shot! Glad to give this notable establishment a great review!
