I got an egg and cheese sandwich with some sausage. It was good. The coffee was great but I get it without sugar. Cute spot and looks pretty authentic

First time here so we tried Cuban and Palomilla steak sandwiches, Picadillo w/yellow rice black beans and plantains and Pork chops w/ Moro rice and plantains and chicken soup. Everything was fantastic, though the Picadillo didn't have green olives which I really like in it. BTW, all of this and cafe while I waited was only $40! If you are not accustomed to Spanish chicken soup be careful of bones, but it really is properly good soup because of them. Great West Tampa neighborhood place! Trust the fat man on food, you will not regret going in here!

Been here a few times. The decor is a bit dated, but the food and prices make up for it. The sandwiches and coffee are both delicious. Prices are very fair. Highly recommend.P.S. The slot machine is just for fun. You won't win any money.

This place is a true hidden gem! I was tipped off to this restaurant from a coworker and decided to check it out because I was working in the area. It's a little hard to find, located next to a car wash on the corner of Armenia and Colombus, and the exterior is a little rough around the edges, but the friendly service and food make up for it. When I entered, I was greeted by the owners wife (Mrs Bobby? Lol). She told me how all the sandwiches are made to order so the meat, chicken and fish are all cooked fresh. She even let me know that Bobby is actually the nephew of the owner of West Tampa Sandwich Shop, giving the place instant local cred. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken sandwich with a cafe con leche and both were awesome. The chicken sandwich was big and delicious, a great value for around $6 and the cafe con leche was like crack lol. I definitely plan on returning in the future when I'm in the area. At $3.50 for a Cuban or $6 for a palomilla steak sandwich, this place combines good flavor with value!

Let me tell you, Bobby Sandwich Shop was really magnificent. Bobby Sandwich Shop is a total gem of a find. When I saw the menu I wanted to order every thing, I went for Palomilla Steak and it was really yummy. Every one was so polite. Very recommended.

Ever since I moved to Tampa, I've been addicted to the cuban sandwich. And hidden in the heart of Tampa, rich with competition from surrounding restaurants, Bobby's Sandwich Shop quietly makes one of the best ones I've had here in Tampa! On the surface, a cuban sandwich can seem simple, usually consisting of the same ingredients (cuban bread, ham, pork, cheese, pickles, mustard). What seems to set Bobby's Sandwich Shop apart from others is the freshness of the ingredients. The bread has a nice toasted crust on the outside and has a soft flaky center. The pork was well seasoned and juicy. The amount of mustard used was just right; it didn't overwhelm the sandwich with flavor or jmake it too soggy. And best of all, it was only $3.50. My fiancé got the palomilla steak sandwich, which was also very tasty but we both agreed the cuban was very top notch. If you do stop in, do yourself a favor and try their cafe con leche. It was well balanced, with a nutty aftertaste and it wasn't too overly sweet. I am definitely a big fan and will return!

A very good little neighborhood breakfast/lunch place with fairly extensive menu, good prices, quick counter service and tasty meals. I have dropped by for a quick colada of cuban espresso, and had lunch. They have full lunch specials for $5.50, with half a dozen entree choices, including ropa vieja, picadillo, roast chicken, etc. with beans/rice/sides. More sandwich & soup options, including excellent cubana frita & tripleta (chopped ham, steak & mojo pork) automatically pressed without having to ask. Top quality, slow-cooked Spanish garbanzo bean soup.Mostly take-out but 6-8 stools at the counter for breakfast or sit-down lunch. Server is bi-lingual and friendly. No tourists in sight, but plenty of neighborhood comfort.

Easily one of the best Cuban sandwiches in Tampa. The prices are better than most as well. Just stumbled upon it last week, but I've already been back for more.
