Big Bass Grill

The food was great, grouper sandwich and steamed shrimp. Sat outside, live music was good. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Food was a little slow but overall a great experience!

My wife and I were looking for something outside of the Villages in central Florida and found it on Yelp . We found the parking lot quite full, but found a spot and went inside to determine if there was a wait or not. The three or four servers were running around taking orders and delivering plates of food and one other them told us to find. Table where ever. There was a lot of outside seat, but because it was only 51 outside, we chose of of the two inside tables to sit at. It was only a short wait for our server to approach us and asked if we wanted a beverage. My wife asked for options and the waitress brought over a listing of the many items, and a menu to peruse. She quickly returned and answered our food questions and we placed our orders for both food and beverages. It didn't take long to get our food cooked to order and delivered to our table by Angel. My grouper sandwich was lightly blackened and served with lettuce tomato and onion on a sesame seed bun along with lightly breaded twisty fries. My wife's fish fry was beer battered catfish with the same type of fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw had fairly large peppercorns mixed in and Angel stated that the new soups cook erred in chopping the spice, but other than that, it was good. Service was well spaced nd my soda was topped off even before I asked for a free refill. This was a sleeper diner and guy Fieri should try this for a triple D episode.

Wow! This place is awesome! Quinton, our server, was top notch! The food and drinks came out quickly, and man, the portions were huge, and everything we ordered was hot and fresh! Best gator I've ever had! The grouper sandwich was absolutely delicious! My hubby loved his catfish dinner, and our niece loved her frog legs. This is going to be a regular spot now!

Great food. Great service. Great waterfront views. Great band. It's a trifecta. (Actually that is four items) We made the quick trip to check out this place. It was well worth it. My Grouper sandwich was very good. Wife had BBQ sloppy Joe on buttered, toasted white bread. I really liked the band. They played a lot of stuff I know. Bravo! Frequent readers of mine know, I rarely give out 5 stars. But this place gets the top honors.

This place gives big local vibes. I was passing through the town during a road trip. There is indoor and outdoor dining, the service was fast and the prices were inexpensive. I enjoyed everything I ate and the food was fresh.

After a day of shopping at Webster Flea Market it was time for food and a beer. Local area had really nothing to offer we headed to Yelp. Our gig is always those places off the mainstream, beer and water front and added plus!Our venture took us to Big Bass Grill. We we arrived we knew it was love at first sight. This place enormous and sits on a lake. We opted for inside sitting bellied up to the bar.We were greeted by CiCi and ordered our beverages. Studied the menu and both decided on a fried Grouper Sandwich. I upped my side to homemade beer battered onion rings. Believe me when I say they were delicious. The sandwich had a large piece of perfectly battered Grouper served with lettuce onion pickle and yummy tartar sauce.CiCi was efficient and handled the bar and restaurant alone like a pro all while fielding phone in to go orders.If I am ever in the area I will return.

A love-hate experience this time. Wife loved her grouper basket with those special cut fries. Came out fresh and hot and I envied her. Mine on the other hand the Spaghetti special tasted like a jar of Ragu over watery flat noddle. If there was meat in the meat sauce I never saw it. Left 3/4 of it on the plate. Came with a good house salad in all fairness but hardly worth the price. Sorry guys!

Big Bass Grill is off the beaten track, which I love. It is on a marina and has plenty of outside seating with lights. There is an outside bar and looks like it's a favorite for motorcyclists. On this very hot afternoon we opted for the inside dining area where the tables were covered with checkered tablecloths. There are a few beautiful motorcycles inside too.Skylar was our waitress and she brought us ice teas and helped us with the menus. Dave got fried catfish which was outstanding and onion rings and coleslaw. I got the grilled grouper sandwich that came on a fresh bun along with with lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. It was moist, flaky and delicious. My sides were grits with cheese and coleslaw. So if you are ever near lake Panasoffkee, stop in and enjoy the woodsy ambience and delicious food.

My first review! We attended the big bass grill yesterday with 9 other friends around 1 o clock and we walked away extremely impressed. First the LOCATION. This is a hidden gem on the lake with an inside bar and outside. Unfortunately my phone was dead so I didn't get any pictures. They had a live band going and the band was OK. Second, the service. We had a server named Quinton and he was phenomenal. He was really engaged with us and gave great recommendations. The only negative things I have to say about the service is when we walked back to our table we walked past another server who I said hello to and she ignored us and looked very angry. Lastly, the food. We traveled 45 minutes to get here because we seen a billboard on the side of the road and read some reviews. The food was GREAT. I ordered the grouper sandwich fried and it tasted extremely fresh. Everyone else in our group also loved their food. It was a great experience thanks to our service and the food tasting fresh. WE WILL BE BACK.

This place really sucks. Very run down, no lights where they seated us when it started getting dark. Everybodies food was cold. Asked for a manager and there wasnt even one there. Had to wait forever for the cold food and drinks. DO NOT GO.And to top it off my husband got diarrhea later in the night from the nasty food.
