First impression is that the place is very clean, great decor and vibes, and the owners very clearly put lots of care into the place. We enjoyed that the appetizer selection was different than most sushi spots and the happy hour gave us a chance to try a handful of different bites. The "deconstructed" krab rangoon with taro chips is the obvious popular pick here, and executed well, but there's also unique options for more adventurous eaters. We chose a few rolls to try out the different sushi types. An Americanized fried and sauce-laden Monster roll, a classic spicy tuna, and a sushi novice's California roll. The monster roll was fried to perfection and certainly something even the sushi purist could enjoy. The spicy tuna was SO fresh; not even a hint of fishiness, and the perfect amount of spice. I liked that they made their own spicy sauce instead of just squirting sriracha on top. The California had a bit of roe on top, which I appreciate for the added texture. The cherry on top was the very attentive service. Overall it was a great experience. Looking forward to trying out their hot dish menu!

Clean cozy restaurant with delicious food. Presentation was excellent! Ordered some miso soup, shrimp tempura (which was the best I had ever had) and a Monster roll. Also had a really good mango flavored nigori. The staff is friendly and courteous, and very attentive, which I appreciated. Plenty of parking out front and ample seating inside. Bring the family and kids. It is a child friendly place.

This spot is amazing! The food was delicious and came out quickly. The staff was friendly and were able to answer questions about the menu. It was is very quaint inside. I highly recommend this place!

I swear these Japanese Izakaya restaurants are popping up everywhere this year. I looked up what Izakaya meant and it came up with two meanings, an intimate bar with cheap snacks and also stay-drink-lace. So both make sense in my worldThey have alcohol, have sushi, and skewers or yakitori. For this visit I had a King Kong roll and Kurobuta honey sausage(this one I had bc it was on the happy hour menu. I did not like it. It was just like a cut up hot dog. The King Kong roll was so good but I must say, I'm really loving on all rolls latelyThe server was pleasant and the place was cute with its Japanese theme. I would definitely want to come back here with someone who loves sushi as much as me. For your info, you can easily do a foodie hop here. This plaza has Paul's Pizza, this Japanese spot, & a Vietnamese restaurant.

Went here with a buddy because he recommended it, and I'm glad he did. I got the spicy tuna roll and he got the volcano roll, this was the best sushi I've had in my life, it was orgasmic, I would give a kidney to get free sushi from here, if there is a heaven and I go there when I die I want this sushi guy to be my chef, if I could give this place a 10 star rating I would, I implore you to go try this place

Everything was amazing. The food was delicious and the salad dressing is really good. I loved the seafood ceviche and the golden boy sushi roll. All the flavors were put together beautifully.

This was our first visit and I'm glad that we had stopped by. It's located in the Publix strip center at McMullen Booth and Coachman. We decided to try dishes that you usually don't see here in Pinellas Co.For appetizers, we ordered the Spider Roll and two skewers or yakitori (Momo Chicken Thigh and BBQ Fresh Water Eel). The Spider Roll was fine. The skewers were tasty but only a few bites.For mains, we decided on the Japanese Cold Noodles and the Niku Udon (Udon soup). Both dishes were beautifully presented. The cold noodles were quite tasty with strips of salmon, imitation crab and cucumbers. I would order it again. The Niku Noodles were thick Udon noodles with shredded beef on top. There wasn't a lot of soup, though. The beef had a sort of pot roast taste which was nice. Our entrees were both ample portions.The staff was friendly and speedy. The restaurant has nice ambiance with an open kitchen concept. I do recommend this restaurant if you want to try some yakitori and various noodle dishes.

BG Robata is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic, the staff is so kind and helpful and the atmosphere is so charming. It is an excellent experience and a must to if you love sushi

Absolutely blown away by this sushi bar. The inside is very cute and intimate, it is also very clean which is necessary for a sushi restaurant. The staff is incredible Bo, Pat and Jack are the most attentive and caring staff. We have come back a few times since our first and everytime is amazing. The prices are very reasonable and great for the quality. We got the golden boy and it is a MUST order. We were blown away the first time we had it. Mainly because we didnt expect all the flavors inside since we ordered off of Bo's recommendation.I havent been shocked by a dish in a long time but golden boy definitely delivered. We have ordered the king kong and red tuna as well and both were good but golden boy is definitely the best. The Taro crab rangoons were also incredible. Its a deconstructed version which I was surprised by at first but I honestly ended up preferring it this way and now I wish every restaurant had it like this. The crab mixture was delicious and refreshing since it was cold and the taro chips were thin and crispy and paired really well with it. The sauce was a sweet syrup different from the usual sweet chili and I liked it but I didnt really need it with how good the chips and krab were on their own. The matcha tiramisu was also very good not too sweet but a perfect ending.
