Bertha's Kitchen

I tried Bertha's due to the glowing reviews on Yelp. Maybe they had a bad day or I don't appreciate "authentic" Mexican food. The server was very nice and attentive. We were the only ones, Saturday at 7ish. The salsa was tasty but I prefer thicker. Everything was "ok" don't get me wrong, but nothing tasted good or great. We also tried birras first time, again based on reviews. We didn't like it but as I've never tried before I have no point of reference. It has outside seating, so they must be good if the place gets full.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. Great service and selection. Beware their hot salsa is HOT

3 of us stopped by for lunch today. The main dished we had were Huevos Ranchero with chorizo and papas fritas; chimichanga with beans and rice, and my lunch, enchiladas roja topped with shredded lettuce, tomato's and queso with beans and rice. All of us agreed that everything was top notch, 5 stars. It was the best Mexican meal I have had in a very long time. Our waiter was very attentive. I highly recommend you give them a try.

This is a great find of Mexican food in Wauchula. We pass by here on our way up to Orlando . Typically order the quesabirria and it is really good. It comes with a side of rice and beans with Cozumel on the side . The server is attentive and the food is really good . I love their rice and beans ! It is a very tranquil and pleasant place. Will definitely keep coming back .

I ordered the 3 quesabirria tacos with consumé, they were very nicely seasoned. The waiter was really good at providing service. It seems there were not a lot of people for a Sunday lunch but it was peaceful and a good environment. This place deserves more customers.

Food is outstanding. It's a small place with limited indoor seating but fun decor and atmosphere. Only issue was the margarita. I'd certainly eat here again but wouldn't order drinks.
