Bravo! Their monthly wine pairing dinner was superb! The chef knocked it out of the park, with all 3 courses. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a lovely charcuterie board and starter wine...excellent! Once seated, the wine distributor provided an education on the history of the wine region and the particular wineries before introducing each pre-poured wine. After dinner, you can place an order for any of the bottles you've tasted, which would be available for pick up the following week. They offer these events monthly -- I plan to be a regular!

I visited Chateau Cellars for a private dinner with a wine pairing. It was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life. We had the entire wine bar, the entire experience from the service to the educational experience was 5 stars. More than 5 stars for the food. I wish I could visit for dinner more often. I can't say more wonderful things about this private dining experience. I did not include pictures of the salad course or the wine!

This wine bar is a hidden gem in Ybor! Large selection of wines to choose from. They do have a happy hour half-off wine by the glass for anything below $20 on Tuesday to Friday from 4-6pm and Saturdays from 8pm till late. Love the ambiance and it gives off a cozy vibe. Plenty of seats and it is great to go with a large group no reservation is needed. The Charcuterie board was delicious too and got the Chef's selection. I would have given it 5 stars but our server was a bit rude and sassy with a big attitude. Not sure if he had a bad day but he was definitely not the vibe. Other than that, highly recommend checking this place out!

Will return. A neat wine bar that opens late than it's store. The bar counter area is a little unconventional, with a bare wall, which I found refreshing. A lone bar tender serves the room - six of us in total. I'd think on a Friday night, it would be a lot busier. Love their skinny water glasses and stems. The four wines - one white and a few red - we tried, are fine but not love love. Paying forward: the couple sat next to us, bought a bottle for a near by residents: "the parking lot is rather small for my truck," the husband said. So they parked on the street, in front of a house. As they got out, they saw the couple were drinking wine on their small front yard. They chatted briefly and they said, when you come back, please feel free to park here. So our drinking mates got a bottle for them. "We'll just leave it by their door, as a surprise." As it happened, I'm just done Arnie Schwarie - Arnold Schwarzenegger's book that got published two weeks ago: Be Useful, The seven rules to follow to realize your true purpose in life. In it, he stressed the value of an hour a day (do whatever it's important to you, continuously...), to be useful, to chase your dream and to be kind to others. All of these, makes the doer happy and people all around happy. A book I normally won't read but it showed up on my Libby, and I'm pretty glad that I did and finished it. Being kind is a trait that you can hone.

Definitely a hidden gem in Ybor City! Service is great and very attentive. Please note they actually don't charge a corkage fee if you'd rather have a bottle from their retail side instead of what they have on their wine bar menu. They have large communal high tables which are good for groups but also seats at the bar and smaller tables for smaller parties. Do try their charcuterie boards and conservas, both are so good!

Beaunes, also known as West Palm Wines is located in a non- descript block building on the SEC on Palm Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. It is adjacent to Tony's Restaurant which is a good place of a totally different genius species. They specialize in French wines, we had a bottle of good white and red burgundy. They have an extensive selection of cheeses to go with any wine you may order. A bottle of wine, cheese tray and their great French onion soup makes a full meal. The soup was the right combination of broth, cheese and bread - not too salty like you typically get. There were 4 entrees, salmon, duck, short rib and I can't remember the 4th. Salmon was very good. To finish off, we had a very good flour lessChocolate cake. Only open on Thur, Fri and Sat nights. Also a very good venue for private parties - rehearsal diners, etc.

This place is a hidden gem. It is a spacious restaurant where you can enjoy gorgeous wines and very decent food. The wine shop is great, but find an employee to take you into their cooler for the good stuff. They have 19th century Rothchild Lafite wines in their cellar! Prices are similar to the wines at Bern's. Pick out your bottle, then pay a $10 corkage to have it at the restaurant. We had a lovely 1989 Grand Cru from Bordeaux's Margaux region. To help wash it down, we went with their cheese and charcuterie platter. They have an extensive list of cheese and meat. I felt that the cheeses were better options than the meats. We had an extra sharp Irish cheddar, a Spanish manchego, and an Italian truffled sheep and cow cheese. We also tried the prosciutto and the Serrano ham. They gave us cornichon, olives, dried fruit, grapes and nuts. We probably could have stopped ordering then. However, we wanted to try the entrees. We both went with the special plates, so I can't comment on the regular menu, but I can say that the rabbit was mildly overcooked, but the potatoes cooked in duck fat were heavenly. My husband finished his red snapper before I could think about stealing a bit.Dessert looked fine, but who can eat after a bottle of wine, tons of cheese and cured meats, and generously portioned main courses? I don't think reservations are required since the place seemed half-empty, but it wouldn't hurt, especially if you have a large party. There is free parking behind the restaurant.

Beaune's. Is now under new management. We prepaid for a wine tasting which they cancelled and refused to refund our payment. Our credit card company investigated and provided a refund after the new owners in a very obnoxious manner refused to do so. I will never again visit or do business with them.

Had a very nice evening at the bar with Susan, Dave and Lindy! Thanks for the recommendations of the "tinned scallops" with harissa, butter, bread, sea salt and aleppo pepper paired with 3 fantastic cheeses. Shared some fun stories as well. Looking forward to our next wine bar experience!! A great date night.
