Ate here after a performance at the Straz center on a Saturday afternoon. Very surprised how good it was. Pasta al dente w marinara & meatballs of beef&pork and a Margarita pizza w mushrooms. Service excellent Hope to try the one on Clearwater Beach and have the same experience.

Service was slow. They were understandably busy for a Saturday evening. Ordered bruschetta for appetizer, spaghetti for entree. Appetizer was a bland, gooey mess. Pasta was congealed, like overcooked, and then sauce thrown in and sautéed. We've eaten here before and the food normally is ok, but tonight was just very off. Not sure why. We finished with the tiramisu - it wasn't bad, but not great. Ambiance; it's alright, kinda quaint, but noisy. BTW, last time we had a few of their pies and they were good. Overall, just an average experience.

The Carne Pizza was one of the best Pizza's I've had all year, the crust was a perfect balance between crunchy and chewy, the cheese was so melty and easy to eat and the rest of the toppings exploded with flavor. I'm give it a solid 10/10.The salad was refreshing and made for a good addition doesn't take away from the pizza and made for a good side. It deserves a humble 5/5

I've walked by this place 100 times and finally stopped in for an early dinner before an event downtown. The restaurant is small, but the staff hustles to get food out quickly and make tables available. We had no wait for a party of 2. We had the penne all vodka and the burrata wood fired pizza. The penne was solid, but nothing spectacular. The pizza was delicious. Just the right amount of char, chewy crust, creamy burrata, and generous heap of arugula. Definitely enough to share.

What a fun spot! I came here while on my bachelorette in Tampa. Coming from a New Yorker and trying Italian in Florida, oh my God this food was actually very very good!!! The manager was also super nice and talked to us the whole time we were there. He also gave us two free Nutella pizzas with sparklers since it was my bachelorette party. The whole place also made us feel so welcome and gave us recommendations on places to go. We felt very at home and had phenomenal Italian food. I would definitely recommend checking this place out the next time you are in Tampa. I know I am definitely going. For food I got one of their Panini's and added a chicken cutlet to it. The chicken cutlet was so delicious and breaded so good. The Panini was on a different bread than I was used to, but it was oh so good. For an after dinner drink they also give free lemoncello shots. They were super strong, but super delicious!

My family and I enjoyed our dinner at Bavaro's. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. It is an intimate setting and not very large inside. The staff were helpful when making decisions on what we should have. The menu offered some great Italian options. We started with the GARLIC BREAD, which was a wood-fired dough, garlic, evoo, oregano, parmigiana reggiano. It was pretty tasty! It wasn't your average garlic bread. The meals we had at the table included: - RIGATONI AL FUNGHI: rigatoni, chicken, baby bella, portobello, and oyster mushrooms, sundried tomato, crema, truffle oil, fried basil- TAGLIATELLE AL LIMONE: Fresh tagliatelle, choice of seared shrimp or chicken, wood-fired broccolini, lemon-crema sauce, prosciutto crumble, parmigiano reggiano, lemon zest- Kids Pepperoni pizza All of the food was filled with a burst of delicious flavors. The portions were large, and we all got to take some home to enjoy the next day. I'd love to go back to try more dishes.

Location in downtown Tampa is open for lunch and dinner. Adult and kids menu with hot pizza and lighter fare available - dine in or take out. Recommend the hot, brick oven garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer or meal with soup and salad. Easy walk for downtown and atmosphere perfect for a light lunch and for taking clients. A Reservation is encouraged on nights with events in downtown or at arena. Service is excellent and fast. Ingredients are absolutely fresh with sauces and dough made in house and sauces available for purchase. Sangria and wines for perfect pairing.

I've been to Bavaro's in Downtown Tampa twice, and both visits were good. The service was great, and the food was delicious. I had the Ricotta Meatballs (my favorite) and the Quattro Formaggi Pizza. Both were excellent and I do recommend. When I checked in on Yelp, I got a complimentary glass of wine, which was a nice surprise. Thanks Bavaro's! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor space is cozy and has a small, intimate feel.

I visited Bavaro's pizza on a Friday night with a party of three. We did not have a reservation and we were very lucky to find seats at the bar. It definitely would have been better to have a reservation as they have these great table outside. The ordering of drinks and food and receiving of food was so fast for how busy this place was. I definitely thought it would take longer as they had to put my pizza in the brick oven. Everything was delicious! Can't wait to return with a reservation. My husband drinks beer and they only have peroni on tap.

Of the 3 Neapolitan pizzerias we tried in the Tampa area during our brief stay, Bavaro's was definitely the best of the bunch. It's a small and insanely busy location, but the staff managed to be friendly and the ship seemed to run very smoothly. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy insides, with plenty of outdoor seating on the sidewalk area. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you don't want to be waiting for a while. We made a reservation, but we still had to wait until closer to our reservation time to get our table, so expect the potential of a wait if arriving early. As far as the food goes, the pizza is really good. Wood-fired, and you can tell the dough has spent some decent time fermenting and developing flavor. Definitely the most flavorful dough we had while in Tampa. It's a really nice representation of classical Neapolitan dough. Soft, crunchy, charred. The toppings were good, too. Sure, the margherita is predictable, but I was really impressed with the flavors of their seasonal "butternut pizza," with shaved butternut squash, caramelized onion, romano, stracciatella, hot fennel sausage, fried sage, and Reggiano. Their fennel sausage is great. I felt like the amount of toppings was a little excessive, but the flavors were just so good. I'd have gone back for this again if I had another night in town. We finished the meal with some cannoli with pistachio, and they were simply excellent.Overall, Bavaro's hit the spot. Excellent service and wonderful food served in a nice, casual atmosphere. If you're craving Neapolitan pizza, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Bavaro's location; their pizzaioli certainly know what their doing!
