Bar Fly Safety Harbor

I finally tried this place out after seeing it while walking around safety harbor. I stopped by during happy hour and ordered drinks and tuna nachos. The tuna nachos were really good, the chips were crunchy, and the tuna and sauces were super flavorful. It was a bit pricey, but the large portion and flavor made up for it. They also have live music in the evenings, which made the experience even better. I will definitely come back again!

What a great find!Saturday night early dinner before heading to Ruth Eckerd. A friend recommended it and the Yelp! Reviews confirmed it was a good selection. Hubby and I ordered 3 Daughters red bender red ale, which was very good. He ordered the grouper basket. He said the best part was the tartar sauce. It was fine, just not outstanding. My Lobster Nachos however were amazing!! Our server recommended the double lobster portion and she wasn't wrong. Holy cow! It was full of large chunks of lobster. The chips, queso, and pico were very good. The serving was huge. Hubby tried to help me out but we wound up packing up about 1/3 of it. This definitely feeds at least 3 people. The restaurant was busy when we arrived at 4:30 but we were seated immediately. Our server was super friendly. She got our beers right away. And the food came out about 15 minutes later. We'll be back!!

The food was good! I got the lobster grilled cheese and lobster bisque - it was delicious! I also really enjoyed the hush puppies as someone originally from North Carolina. My friend ordered the crab legs and was expecting more of a seafood boil/cajun style. This was not the case, but she said they were okay for steamed crab legs.There was live music, which I did really love, if we weren't sitting directly in front of the performer. It made it difficult to talk easily, but good performance otherwise. It was pretty busy on a Thursday night with a short 20 minute wait before we were seated.

We absolutely love this place. Perfect foods on happy hour menu for us. We also love to bring the boat over on weekends for shrimp ceviche. They have good beer on tap and make great mixed drinks. Margarita with tajin please! Staff is nice. Indoor and outdoor bar and seating. Live bands what else can you ask for?

I am so glad I made it back to Bar Fly in Safety Harbor. My last visit was six years ago.I have yet to find a comparable lobster grilled cheese sandwich plate, served with chips and lobster bisque for dipping. (I am choosing to ignore my very mild shellfish allergy while I'm here).Our server, Alan, was so funny and delightful. We came back here twice in one day. Yes, twice! Also had the peel and eat shrimp served warm with a side of butter.It was nice to see the same things I loved about my first visit are still very much in place. It is my "must visit" bar and restaurant while in Safety Harbor.Great people watching, too, if you are lucky enough to get a corner window or patio seat.

My parents sang the praises of this restaurant so I had to check it out. This is a lobster lovers paradise! If you want a lot of lobster for relatively cheap, this is absolutely the place to go. I had a hard time choosing what to get because there's so many amazing sounding options on the menu. I ended up going with the lobster nibbler and it was perfect & exactly what I was hoping for. Lots of buttery lobster and very little else. So good, so tender, so perfectly cooked. The little bread crostinis are the perfect vessel for the delicious lobster. I could eat this weekly/daily and be so happy. Cute decorations on the inside, very beachy, fitting for this area and for the type of food being served

I have always enjoyed Bar Fly! Situated right on the corner of Main Street and Bayshore in downtown Safety Harbor, the restaurant has that distinctly fresh Florida vibe. The wait staff has always been friendly and attentive. The food is very fresh, well-proportioned, and delicious. My wife loves the captains platter with shrimp and oysters, and I love the buffalo grouper sandwich, the wings, or the grouper bites. Oh the drink menu is stellar as well!

I've been here so many times and the food is always consistently good. The grouper bites are my favorite and I've had them as an appetizer and an entree. Service is always fast and friendly, even when the place is packed. They have a nice patio, when it isn't a million degrees outside. If you like nachos, they have a huge one that you can get with all types of proteins.

Love this place wish they would have one on the beaches in st Pete. Redington would perfect!

We had a group of 6 and just had appetizers and cocktails. Everything was good. The service was good too! Very attentive bartenders! The ambiance is busy and fairly loud. There are outdoor dining areas too.
