Banh Mi Saigon

I've always gone with the adage if a restaurant has one thing on their menu, it is usually good. Well, this place does Banh Mi and that is it. And they do them right. Fresh ingredients, friendly service and unbelievable prices are what is on the menu here. $6 for a Bahn Mi is just crazy. Stop into this place and enjoy a great sandwich.

4 stars for a solid choice if you're craving a banh mi sandwich! We visited after paddling on the water. You can eat in too but we just ordered it to go.I was craving the traditional BBQ pork sandwich, it's the grilled pork one on the menu for $6. There are other sandwich options, and snacks to choose from. They made our order fresh and it came out within minutes. Perfect for a grab and go lunch!The sandwich itself was nice, the pork was flavored well with all the traditional toppings, cucumber, jalapeno, carrots, cilantro and mayo. I liked the crispy bread but keep that in mind if you're eating in the car. It made such a mess but it was worth it and totally satisfied my craving. I do wish the sandwich was a little bigger but for the price it's a pretty good deal!

Fresh bread. Fresh everything. So glad I stopped in. Ordered the grilled pork which tasted like barbecue and very tasty.

We have recently entered a bahn mi and Vietnamese coffee kick...and this place is here to the rescue! I did a "Vietnamese coffee" search on Yelp and it led me to this and many other places around the same area. This was the only one open on Tuesday so off we went! The parking lot for the strip mall was pretty full at 11:10am - and we weren't sure about the look of the surrounding area with seemingly closed or shut down businesses - but do not let the outside fool you. When we walked into the place, it felt lovely and cool and clean. There was one woman behind the counter making all the sandwiches and drinks and just a few people ahead of us. She was moving swiftly though, so we weren't worried. She took our order and told us to sit and she'd bring it to us. Soon after, a family of like 15 people walked in! Clearly, this is a very popular place! A few minutes later we had our bahn mis and coffees - I ordered the #9 - pork roll and grilled pork (no jalapeños) and hubby got the #1 - pork roll and pork belly (all the fixings). Holy cow - they were both DELICIOUS! My favorite thing about bahn mis is the freshness of the ingredients and the veggies mixed with the warm meats - and this was no different. The bread was lightly toasted and still warm and soft inside, the meats were flavorful, the veggies were crisp and fresh. They were also a decent size but not overwhelmingly large (some places give you giant sandwiches that I can't finish or feel too full afterwards!) These were a great size and a great value. All sandwiches between $7-$9. All in all the perfect combo! We heard her say they have their bread locally baked and delivered each morning! We could tell. The coffees were the perfect accompaniment. The table had several condiments including fresh chili sauce, hoisin, a siracha-like sauce and some soy. We enjoyed mixing these up and dipping our sandwich into the different combos. Needless to say - we can't wait to return to this gem of a place for some yummy food and drinks! Looking forward to trying different sandwich combos for sure!

We dropped in for the first time and got fantastic Vietnamese / French Banh Mi sandwiches. Only $6 each and freshly made right in front of us, by a friendly and helpful lady. The restaurant itself is spotless and the bathroom is also perfectly clean and cool. The strip mall it's in is pretty grungy to be nice and the parking lot has its share of potholes. But, you'd never know based on the interior! Ignore the outside appearance and come on by!We ordered a #1 with pate, pork belly and pork roll and all the pickled veggies for my wonderful wife. I got a #2 with grilled pork and all the pickled veggies for myself! The veggies include crunchy carrots, cucumber, cilantro, daikon radish and jalapeño!The sandwiches come on fresh and crusty French bread. They are... in a word... delicious. In another word or three, they are fresh, tasty, crunchy and for a fourth word, affordable! We look forward to returning!Life is good with delicious Bahn Mi!

Small local spot with delicious Bahn Mi. Owner is very nice. Had the BBQ pork, meatball and pork roll. Also picked up Bao.

In case you still don't know, Pinellas Park is blessed with many wonderful Vietnamese businesses.Many locals ask me who has my favorite Banh Mi in all if Tampa Bay... it is from here. This Thit Nuong Banh Mi is my favorite. Yes, even better than those swarmed shops in Tampa that the trendy bloggers gawk over. Do you really trust someone's opinion on food that survives on "hosted" meals of avocado toast and iced lattes? Interesting...Why do I like their sandwiches so much? Because of the bold flavors and garlicky spreads used. I'm a sucker for garlic, and thankfully also avoiding crowds and dining on a budget. So you will find me here.

The staff who worked on Sat, 7/6/2024, at 9:30 AM were rude and disrespectful. My aunt, who was 70, waited and they completely ignored her. They went and serve others who came in later. They are stingy on the proteins. ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT COME BACK! 4.5+ stars rating? What a joke!

Had such a great experience at Bahn Mi Saigon !Their bahn mi is the best I have tried so far in Florida and they are made with fresh ingredients and priced at only $5-6 for a sandwich ! Just remember that they are cash only !I had the BBQ bahn mi sandwich and it was amazing ! It was filled with tons of bbq pork, pickled radish and carrots, cilantro, and creamy sauce. The fresh jalapeños added a spicy kick that balanced out the creaminess of the sauce perfectly!I will definitely be going again whenever I am in the St Pete area!We took our bahn mis to the beach to enjoy the sunset !

Banh mi dac biet pretty good but not great. I think this spot is just good enough to satisfy a banh mi craving but I felt there wasn't enough grilled pork in mine. Value wise it's fair for 6-7 bucks you get a decent sized sandwich. Maybe a tad more grilled pork or sweet pickled vegetables would enhance the contrast of savory and sweet that we all seek in banh mis.
