Bambino Pizza

I have driven past this place -Forever-. The other night my friend and I stopped in just to see what it was like.The location is huge and does a lot of take out orders. While we were there, my friend got chicken Alfredo and I got a Calzone, while I got the Bambino sandwich for my husband. Everything was made to order and delicious! Their sauce for the Calzone was zingy and tasted light and bright, the Calzone itself was large, filled with cheese and ham. It was good. The Bambino was humongous! Seriously this is a monstrous sandwich. It's definitely not for one person! But the flavours are all there and they are SO good!!We will come back again for sure

Wow! Soooo glad I stopped in to this pizza place!! Found myself in Dunedin for work, and noticed the sign for Pizza by the Slice. I was their first customer -- lady was extremely nice -- and got it to go. Good thing, because if I would have tasted it before I left, I probably would've bought a whole pizza!I got the two slices and a drink (can) combo for $5.99... well worth it! The slices were LARGE and the pizza, sooo good! I lived upstate NY as a kid, and this reminded me so much of good NY pizza! From the slight crisp when you bite into the folded slice (way to eat a good big floppy NY slice), to the way the cheese feels and the tasty sauce. Wow! I saw on the min they have calzones, wings and a whole lot more, I can't wait to try it all. I WILL be back with family and friends!Only wish I would've taken a pic before trying the pizza, but I was in traffic lol

I want to preface by saying that we did not eat here, so I cannot rate food. We did go in on a Friday night and there was only 1 other table that had people, along with a couple of people sitting in the front waiting on to go orders. They only had 2 young girls working. When we walked in, one of the young girls forewarned us by saying that they had a lot of carry out orders so it could be a while before we were served. We were understanding and chose to sit. She did come over to get our drink out and we both just ordered waters. She said she would take care of us when she wasn't busy delivering pizzas... it didn't register to us until a few minutes that she meant driving deliveries. We sat for a few minutes and ultimately decided to leave before getting our drinks. When we're were getting up, one of the girls was bringing us water bottles with cups of ice and lemon - curious as to if they have running water they serve or if they're cooking with bottled water too? This review is nothing to do with the two sweet girls working, but more of a review on how management expects them to effectively serve AND deliver while getting slammed with online orders and there only being two of them.

We've driven past this place hundreds of times. It looks like an old drive-in with perhaps, car hop service. On the inside, it's one big hall with mobile home type, plastic windows. On this Friday night, only 2 other tables were occupied. A blaring big-screen tv was at one end. On to the food and service. We shared a really good pizza. I ordered a small side salad, which could feed at least 2 people. Our server told us, she'd been on the job for 2 weeks. It didn't show. She was attentive and pleasant. We had a good meal. I could plainly hear traffic from Alt. US 19 even with the plastic windows closed. The TV set turned up fairly loud, distracted from our dinner. The ambiance is 1980's with an odd piece of wooden furniture in the middle of the dining room. This is a place sorely in need of a makeover. We felt welcomed here by the friendly server and someone in the kitchen who thanked us as we left.

We love supporting local small businesses because of experiences just like this one. The service was great and the server was absolutely delightful. We had the lasagna pizza and OMG was it good! Fresh, hot, flavorful. The medium was the perfect size for two people to leave feeling happy and full. Some people would call the interior dated. I think it's just homey and authentic. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Ordered the meatball appetizer and the website said I would get 6 meatballs. It arrived with 4 contacted the delivery service and they said they were bigger meatballs, really? Last order they forgot my salad. They wouldn't credit me for it so I had them deliver it . Get it together bambino!

Okay I have tried the pasta dishes eggplant parm always wonderful but tonight I had the pizza it was amazing! Hands down best sauce ! I had the margarita pizza light airy and the sauce I could devour with a spoon! Seriously as an Italian I was doubtful but the lady who owns runs cooks and her beautiful daughter really this place is that good. They do a huge take out service and I know why! I am just so impressed. Service was great and trust me I thought too okay older building but the kitchen is amazing and the pizza is great. All I can say is try it for yourself and this place should be the mystic pizza place of Dunedin because the sauce is magical!!!

Nothing personal, just not a fan of the pizza. In a town with so many options I don't think I'll return. Server was really sweet!

Bambino's: Go get some great pizza. Get the Super Bambino, 9 toppings. You can thank me later.

Just had a real Italian pizza, a Margherita, and Super Bambino at Bambino's. It was fresh and delicious! Friendly local meeting place. Highly recommend! #Bambino
