Bakery Makel-Latín Bakery/Lutz

Delicious cakes pastry's and Cubans! I ordered two cakes from them for my twin daughters quince and they were both delicious!!! Normally cakes are dry when they are big two tiered cakes and no one eats them at the party but we came home with barely any left. I ordered a 4 leches cake and it was to die for! I can't say enough here is the photos. I added the decorations on the cakes they came plain. Please check their specials and order. Sarah gave the very best customer service repeatedly and the the two who delivered my cakes were on time and friendly. 10/10 order again!

I live close to Makel's and stop by for empanadas, cafe con leche or other goodies, it's always delicious. I normally gives pros and cons for my reviews but I can't with Bakery Makel because there are no cons. My birthday was this week and my wife ordered a personalized cake and empanadas from them. This cake was... phenomenal! It was the most beautiful cake I've seen, the cake was not very sweet which was perfect because the sweet from the guava balanced out the flavors. The icing was THE best butter cream icing I've ever had... it was smooth, sweet and there was the tiniest hint of salt. The detail of the talavera tiles on the outside of the cake were so perfectly detailed. My guests couldn't stop talking about the cake. Thank you Bakery Makel, me encantó!

My daughter ordered the pork bowl and she loved it. The lady was super friendly and seared the pork to give it a little crunch. The plantains were sweet and delicious. My wife had an empanada with steak/cheese and she loved it too. Overall really good food!

Followup review. Again ordered online since I was doing errands in the area. I got 2 empanadas, cuban for me and beef and cheese for my teenager, along with ham croquettes and a papa rellano. My cuban empanada was amazing, like a mini cuban sandwich. The papa rellano was so good, especially with some old bay hot sauce. They are already closed or else I would order more. Our next order will be sandwiches.

You need real Cuban bread. Disappointed it wasn't authentic. I was looking forward to a Cuban sandwich but this isn't it.

OMG everything they have created for me was beautiful & they cook/bake with love & you can taste the love. I will be a forever customer.

So excited to have the bakery here in Lutz! I love going to the location in Clearwater while i am down there, always delicious. This one is Much closer to my house and has the Same amazing food as the Clearwater location! Thank you for coming out here!

Best Cuban Bakery in Tampa Bay. Delicious Pastries, Cuban Sandwich, Empanadas, Desserts. Everything is wonderful. Great Customer service always willing to help with my Cake orders.
