Bacchus Wine Bistro

An adorable French inspired bistro. I highly recommend trying the cheese and salami. I ordered the compte (a hard cheese from France) and salami rustica (from Italy). Very good quality, especially the cheese. It came on a little wooden board adorned with an edible orchid and pickles, jam, olives, banana peppers, almonds and other nuts. With my cheese and salami came small slices of fresh baguette. Others in my party ordered the smoked salmon and it looked very good, and generous portions too.

I visited Bacchus Wine Bistro for happy hour on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I was so happy to find this place and it's happy hour with perfect outdoor seating for a nice day. We were seated immediately even though the place so slammed. Our server helped us order, making recommendations as we asked for assistance. We ordered wine and several happy hour dishes. This was a great value with great service and ambience.

We love discovering St. Petersburg and its restaurants now that we are official Floridians! Hubby chose Bacchus for date night last night and he didn't disappoint. We loved it! Ambience was intimate and welcoming with small tables and window seats inside scattered with some larger tables. They also offer several tables outside, but I'd definitely make a reservation! We shared a bottle of Austin Hope Cabernet (1 liter) and it was magnificent (yes we had uber). The sommelier was so sweet and knowledgeable giving us her opinions on selection. Paul was our sever and can I say you can tell he's a pro at his craft. Perfect service! We started with the French Onion Soup which had a very light broth and it was probably the best I've ever had. Then we moved onto a shred charcuterie board. Unique about Bacchus is you get to build your own board choosing selections of meats and cheeses. We opted for the manchengo cheese, Boursin, and a goat cheese I cannot remember but it was fantastic.Definitely going into the rotation of our date nights.

Celebrated a friend's 30th at Bacchus and had the BEST experience from start to finish. We sat outside and we all split a massive charcuterie board, and then I ordered their French country salad (roasted asparagus, beets, arugula, goat cheese, toasted walnuts, lemon-dijon vinaigrette) and added smoked salmon. All the flavors together were perfect and I really loved my salad.As for the charcuterie -- not only was everything so delicious, but I couldn't stop talking about the orange marmalade our server went and grabbed an extra side of it to let me take it home. I even offered to buy a bottle of it if they sold! It was that good! Our server also killed an annoying bee for us, so I'm his biggest fan and I truly am so upset that I forgot his name :(Overall, an amazing first experience at Bacchus.

We were walking around downtown St. Pete and decided to take a snack break. The 3 of us shared a nice white wine, from their selection. We wanted the charcuterie but no cheese. They build a wonderful one with Applewood smoked salami, Calebrese spicy salami, and outstanding prosciutto plus added snacks. Brianna was a terrific server!

Bacchus Wine Bistro on 2nd Ave N just a block off of Beach Dr is walking distance from all downtown hotels This is a lovely, French-inspired wine bar and bistro that offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere. A nice selection of wines from around the world, Bacchus provides a cozy space for dinner or just a drink in a relaxed setting..The menu features French and Mediterranean dishes, including fresh cheeses made in house and charcuterie boards you can create with just the thing you like. Stopped in on the way home for a glass of wine and dessert. The chocolates were fine European chocolates and plated beautifully. Sat in one of the window seats which is perfect for some fun people watching! Service was excellent.

Love IT. Courteous staff. Wooden tables and decors (a little too busy). Fresh flowers. High ceiling. Spacious bathroom The warm slice breads are to die for. Hummus is bit salty but yummy. Nuts are warm but the ones with akin are soft - not crunch (esp almonds - ok I'm picking bones among eggs ... a Chinese proverb), which seriously discounted the taste. We only ordered one French salad and they served in two bowls (I wasn't going to have that ... too healthy for this pig!) - guuuush that forces me to eat greens -:) - it's yummy. The chocolates - Italia amaretto ganache and Mayan chili truffle are yummy - they purchase them fresh.

I had wanted you to go to the Bacchus Wine Bar for months now. We finally went on Memorial Day, and SST outside at one of their many shaded tables. Despite being a hot day, there was a fresh breeze.I had the French onion soup (I adore this dish, one of my comfort foods!) and the French Country Salad, with roasted asparagus, beets, arugula, goat cheese, toasted walnuts with a lemon-Dijon vinaigrette. Just the sort of lunch I was looking for from a French bistro!My hub ordered gazpacho (it was a beet gazpacho today!) and Jambon Blanc, that oh so French classic of ham w butter & cornichons on a baguette. Yummmm. (Calls up happy memories of l in Paris!)

Noisy but service impeccable-- food and wine excellent! The grilled cheese is totally amazing! The choices of cheese and meats are extensive and high quality. Great place
