BABs Secret Lounge

The Basics: BABs Secret Lounge is a prohibition style cocktail bar located in a shopping center in Lutz, FL. The lounge is located inside a "bookshelf" in the International Beer Garten and the monthly code for entry can be found in the Instagram stories for BABs Secret Lounge. Things I like: I loved my experience at BABs Secret Lounge and the bartenders are great. You can order off the menu, order a seasonal drink, or discuss with the staff the types of cocktails you like and they will create something special for you. Both times I visited I had drinks created for me and I loved everything I tried. Things I didn't like: Nothing! I loved visiting the Secret Lounge, but I'd suggest coming earlier rather than later in the night since the lounge is small and can get full rather quickly. Overall, this is such a great spot for creative and delicious cocktails!

I truly love this little hidden gem. I feel like not many people know about it (apart from the speakeasy side of things lol) but it's one of those places that as soon as you discover it, it becomes a go to spot. Hidden inside the International Beer Garden, you'll find a traditional prohibition era speakeasy with delicious drinks and amazing service. Every time I go, I ask the bartenders for recommendations on drinks for them to come up with sometime unique for me or pick something from the menu because everything on there is also great. Make sure you go check this place out- you won't be disappointed!

I loved this hidden gem. The drinks were delicious and fun, the space was dark and the vibe was right. Knowledgable and friendly bartenders were the icing on the cake. Looking forward to going back soon.

Great speakeasy, great ambiance. A small place so finding room at the bar can be difficult. It's definitely busy with locals. The drinks are pricy, all above $16. But they seem pretty unique and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable. Iv had them make things off the menu and they add their own twist. It's a nice place to go after dinner for one or two drinks. Otherwise it's not very realistic for a date spending over $100 just on drinks. That's what I would expect downtown Tampa on Water Street.

Came on a Friday evening (7pm) and it got crowded real quick. Not quite your typical "speakeasy" place -- they play super loud music and the ambiance doesn't feel too "secret". There's only about less than 10 stools at the bar, small couch section on one end and two chairs on other. If you're coming with a group, you'll have to find a place to stand at the middle long table. The cocktails are delicious and are about $15 a piece. Cool place to check out at least once and would probably be better to come on a random weekday when it's not busy to get a better "speakeasy" experience.

A hidden gem that serves great cocktails. The music was a nice vibe, and the service was wonderful. Looking forward to visiting again.

What a fun speakeasy - you can find their code on their Instagram page. They change it weekly!It is located inside the International Beer Garten in Odessa. You look for the bookshelf and type in the 4 digit code onto the keypad (make sure to hit the larger arrow button to submit and open door.)It's a small space but it looks beautiful - dark and moody, bar seating, a large table in the middle and some small chairs to sit. It gets busy during peak hours.Fun menu of martinis and old fashions. Next time we will try the tiramisu!

We LOVE Babs! Such a cool little hidden speakeasy. The drinks are always on point, great whiskey selection, super friendly bartenders and amazing atmosphere/vibe. Only downfall is that it is very small with limited seating. So if the code was shared online or to a large party, you likely won't be able to get in (happened to us and found out a bachelorette party shared the code through FB so when we tried to get in, there were 20 drunken screeching women packed in there).

Renee was the best bartender! My friends and I came here for a belated birthday drink. With it being a Monday night we pretty much had the bar to ourselves and we are coming back every time I'm in town! This is so much better than most of the bars around this area. Between the ambience, the staff, and all the fun photo spots, this place is a must!!!
