Ax-Caliber Axe Venue and Restaurant

First ever visit, not the last for sure. I was the first customer in, so I had an opportunity to wander about before sitting down for lunch.Loved the entrance with the oversized couch. As I went further into the place, it really opened up. There's plenty of seating in the place. They look to have a full service bar for your drinks. It did not appear there was a full-time bartender.Coffee and soft drinks are self-serve. The menu is 2 sided with many of the same things on both sides. There's a lot of typical bar food favorites. I think one is a lunch menu and the other a dinner menu. It did not appear the prices differed.There isn't any table service, so you'll have to go up to the counter to order. I ordered the bone in wings and asked if I could get all flats. I was told yes. My wings came out looking great! Only 1 problem, I got drums too. I'm not one to complain, so I didn't mention it to the server. I chose the peach Chipotle honey sauce. Awesome! Not too sweet with a slight heat. There's a good selection of beers and wine. They also offer many desserts, although I did not partake.I thought everything about the place looked like a cool hangout for the current ax throwing craze. I'll definitely come back for the food.

Great coaches. Went in late evening outing. We had some appetizers and threw for an hour. Food was fresh and hot. Ample seating, clean environment. Wear closed-toe shoes or prepare to borrow some crocs. Servers were friendly and attentive.

Great white queso with tortilla chips. The pulled pork slides were also very good. Good menu selection.

This place is sooooo cute!! I loved that there's a coffee portion to this axe throwing place; they also have actual food too!! The coffee was strong and the atmosphere was so much fun! The staff are super nice and will definitely be coming back!

After my experience a while ago and reading these comments i know I wasn't tripping. I came here around the time this place debuted. I had a terrible experience for Valentine's Day of 2022, service was terrible and definitely gave racist vibes from the manager who was there. Food was less than honorable. Especially for the price. I asked for a glass of wine and gave her my id and so did my date and the manager swore that she couldn't except it because it wasn't me. Then I showed her my passport with the same information and she was trying to say it doesn't look like the same person. I'm an army veteran and at the time I recently relocated to Lakeland after serving my time in the army. I was 32 and my date was 35 both with legal Florida ids and she said we didn't look like we were in our 30s. She said we looked like we were 17 or 18. What a prick she was. I'm not apologizing for aging backwards or aging gracefully. And what exactly is a woman in her 30s supposed to look like. We were dressed appropriately, and clearly she was over 50 and out of touch with reality, with not knowing a grown adult when she sees one or very racist toward black Americans. I was appalled and how dare you insult us as teenagers because we wanted a glass of wine. I am now 34 and never had this type of experience as I did at this establishment. The manager also proceeded to give a speech to her crew out loud about carding people because we don't look our age. Maybe if her ass was in the military and was running miles every day maybe she wouldn't look old or look her age. Don't spend your money here go somewhere else service is below par and over priced, another tactic for control. Definitely gives racist vibes here. I served with ethnicities all around the globe and I know what's up. This place definitely ruined my Valentine's Day that year. I also see other comments with similar views on racism so I know it's true

I don't give out 5 stars lightly, but this venue was perfection. My husband and I had family in town and we were looking for something fun to do that doesn't necessarily have to involve drinking. We found ax caliber but were kind of weary because we've never been ax throwing and it sounds scary lol.But walking in, this place is HUGE. They have lots of things to do. Like pool tables, ax throwing, air gun shooting , and event food and drinks. We were able to do the glow in the dark ax throwing which actually ended up being pretty neat. We had an instructor who showed us how to throw and explained the rules. And it was nice because he was there the whole time and was super helpful! The food was also delicious, but that's just a plus. If you're looking for a fun night out, try this out!!I also can't wait to try their coffee flight! Looks delicious

I heard this place was great but during the time I was there, I stood at the bar three times and got no help. I also stood at the register where two women were talking and still no help.

What a fun and cool place. We got there a little too early to do the ax throwing but this concept is really neat. I love their mother day special that was really creative. They serve specialty coffee, beer, and sod drinks. When I got back it to try the coffee flight. I had seen coffee flights in Orlando and Tampa but close to where I live I can't wait to go back. You can do a pick a two and it so much cheaper then Panera. I got the cherry salad with a BLT and an avocado. My hubby got the same thing but with out the avocado. My sister in law got the chicken & waffle. She said the waffle was really good, but the chicken was over cook. She did order mocha and said it was perfect She normally has to jazz it up with sugar. The ambiance is very casual but fun. The place isSuper clean & the staff is nice. I hope to go back one day, maybe a date night. If I had any young friends I would get a group together.

I never thought I would enjoy this - and it was so fun!The staff are friendly and patient. Andy - the most hospitable and welcoming member of the team. We arrived early and he explained everything in detail.Case - the best coach ever! So appreciative of his knowledge, his encouragement, and his interaction with our family.I don't remember the woman's name who always made sure we were having fun and inquiring if we needed anything.They do have someone come around to take orders so a member of your team doesn't have to lose valuable time.Clean, spacious, and fun - especially with the various table games you can play whilst waiting or spectating.5 out of 5 stars and be warned - we will be back!

AVOID AT ALL COST! If I could give negative stars or zero stars, I absolutely would. This establishment has horrific customer service from the bar to the two males working the front desk. I came in with my partner on a Saturday to try to have service and was met with one some of the rudest and unfriendly workers. I went there one time previously and we didn't have this prior but coming back we will never come back again. Horrible When you come in the establishment, nobody greets you. There was a long wait at the front and we were standing directly in front of the desk, and the man at the desk did not even take a second or moment to acknowledge us.If you are a person of color, do not shop here this place gives very racist and unfriendly vibes. Food service is deplorable and not great quality not worth the value for your money would definitely recommend another establishment. Don't spend a single dime. Here you'll be treated rudely and poorly, and not even be acknowledged.DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Save your money, self-respect and dignity.
