Wow amazing venue for a wedding!!! So beautiful! Valet parking, high vaulted ceilings, full bar, huge dance floor, very good food. Very elegant inside. Huge wall of windows overlooking golf course. Beautiful view. They did the ceremony and reception all here.

We had our wedding reception at Avila and it couldn't have been any better! It isn't cheap, but I don't think anyone could beat the quality of the location and the services they offer (the food they provided was excellent!).The wedding coordinator worked closely with us to make sure our special day was everything we wished for.The clubhouse was newly renovated just before our wedding in 2008, and it's absolutely beautiful inside.

We had our wedding here this past year and were 100% satisfied with the service and staff at Avila Golf and County Club. From the moment we stepped foot in the venue, we were in love. The property is absolutely stunning and gorgeous and offers a beautiful space for both an indoor ceremony and reception, which was very difficult to find for the pesky weather in August. Being from New York, I was afraid that we would not find a venue that met our expectations and budget, but Avila did an amazing job with both. The guests were extremely impressed with the food that was offered, especially the lobster and filet mignon, and commented on the beauty of the whole venue. My favorite part was having the venue all to ourselves. I know that many brides have issues with their dressing rooms not being ready or hotel guests rummaging around areas where guests can see them, but this was never a problem. We also got to take some beautiful golf course pictures since Avila let us borrow the golf cart. On a different note, I know some reviewers said Avila can be a bit stuck in their ways; I know that in our experience they were not comfortable with wedding planners being on their property. However, I have found that they have good reason to do so, since wedding planners are not always attentive to the property's rules as well as stipulations in the contract that you sign with Avila. I found that Avila was extremely accommodating and professional and came through for us in many ways in the end, and I felt that they had our best interest in mind. Isabel (Director of Special Events) was the first person that I saw on the wedding day and came in the morning to congratulate me when we arrived at the venue. She gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, which came in useful when our bottle of 1976 Dom Perignon came damaged to the site. The staff at Avila were prompt and attentive when it came to sticking to the timeline. Finally, they were very accommodating even when things did not go as planned.Overall, I feel that the venue was beautiful and we are very happy that we hired them! We are so lucky that we found this venue for our August wedding.

We attended a wedding here and were very impressed. The location is beautiful. Both the service and the reception were held in the clubhouse. The service set-up was a half circle. It was beautiful!!I wasn't the bride, but as the guest I was impressed with the service. The food was pretty standard wedding food, nothing to write home about.

Great course, but what's with the quoted rate not including the cart fee. I guess you can walk but I've never seen anyone walk... kinda discouraged. If anyone walks I imagine the days revenue is screwed. The whole thing will slow down ... aka "will suck." They advertise different tournaments with the cost on flyers and then in the footnotes "cart fee not included." It's analogous to those fancy hotels that tack on resort fees after you've checked in. Come on, man.

There's no doubt that the venue is beautiful, however the A/C was inadequate. I was hot and uncomfortable the entire night. Also, for a clubhouse that's surrounded by multi-million dollar homes, I felt the seating was cheap, rickety, and extremely uncomfortable. Avila might want to consider up-dating their chairs with something more luxurious and appropriate to the surroundings. Their guests' comfort should be paramount at all times, since guest services is the nature of their business.

Avila is an excellent country club venue in the Tampa, FL area. Great as a wedding day venue, or private party rental.

Was very interested in seeing this venue for a wedding because I found out about it at the last second. I was unable to get a hold of someone to see the venue, and ended up having to just go to the venue to see if I could look around (I live in Seattle and am in Florida to find a venue for only 5 days). The guard told me no one is allowed even on the premises without an appointment. Not even to do a drive around. When I asked for the wedding coordinator I was told she was in a meeting. He gave me her number. I called her on Tuesday at noon. It's now Thursday 10:45 p.m. and still no call back. I'm seeing 3 venues tomorrow, and if Avila doesn't want to even return a phone call, I have no interest in having my wedding there. I was interested in them because they can hold a large number of people, which is what we need. I saw two other venues on the fly, and while they couldn't give an immediate appointment/tour, they at least let us pop in and look for a few minutes. Avila just couldn't even return a phone call. So disappointing.
