Asian Wok

Everybody has their hole in the wall place for americanized chinese food and this is mine. I've been going here since I was little and one of the men working behind the counter was a teenager. We've moved all around St. Pete yet still make the voyage over here whenever we want chinese takeout because it's that good. My family quite literally won't get takeout chinese elsewhere.We always get a lo mein, bourbon chicken, crab rangoon, and general tsos. They are consistently good and I can't tell you the last time they've messed up our order or given us less than ideal food. The food and menu hasn't changed over the years and neither has the quality. I know the place only had 4 stars, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will defend it to anyone. This place is a staple in my family's life and honestly of my childhood.The food itself is always hot and sizable portions for how much you pay. I've never had undercooked chicken or lo mein. The bourbon chicken is my absolute favorite and is always perfectly charred and seasoned. The general tsos is always good and never too saucy.

This is my go to place. I love their food, it's walking distance and their prices are reasonable. Now it's not a high end restaurant it's a great to go place.

We had dumplings with chicken cashew and bourbon chicken. All made to order so wait was longer than some places. Worth the wait. We did take out and enjoyed very much.

This is our go to neighborhood Chinese food. We have eaten here dozens of times and never been disappointed!

new to town and my girlfriend said everyone was talking about this one Asian restaurant, she thought it was called Asian wok. so I pulled up on my unicycle and got some chicken orders it was delicious! friendly staff, clean restaurant . I don't think this was the place people were talking about but they should be!

Food takes a bit to come out but it is good. The sweet and sour chicken is different than usual, but it was really good. It is just smaller bits of chicken as opposed to the bigger ones. The sauce was also more citrusy than normal, but I enjoyed it.

After passing this place all the time I finally decided to give it a try - overall I'm happy I did! I got the general tso's combo. The price is fair ($11) & the portions were generous. I subbed the fried rice that the combo comes with for vegetable chow mein (+$2). The chicken was crunchy and flavorful (though not as spicy as I prefer but it's always hit or miss with spice on general tso's, nothing a little extra pepper flakes couldn't fix). The chow mein tasted very fresh and wasn't greasy at all which I appreciate. Overall, solid option and I'll happily go back.

Have seen place for years never went in due to low yelp score. Gave it a shot yesterday and was really impressed. Ordered combination plate of pork egg foo young, fried rice and egg roll. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. Egg foo young was chock full of pork and fresh vegetables. Not greasy. Will order different items next time and so convenient.

The food is fresh, service is excellent. They have a great menu. If you're looking for good Chinese takeout, this is the place.

those from new england often say that the chinese food in florida just isn't very good...but i must say that we have been going to asian wok for years and their house special lo mein and house special fried rice (we always order it with white rice) is excellent as are the house specialties, orange chicken, etc
