Argento's Italian Bistro

Food , service and ambiance. Wanted to get this out of the way to make yelp happy . We stopped in for Sunday family dinner. my folks snowbird in FL as we commit to the full year. The 3 H's. Heat , humidity and hurricanes. But I digress. No one came here for the weather. This is a very good Italian restaurant. This is not big Italian, like Olive Garden, this is a locally owned and operated. The owners are here at 6am to make all the baked goods at the front of the restaurant. All the Italian goods. We had the chicken marsala and chicken Oscar. The food is amazing. We ate here probably 6-7 years ago and didn't remember the food being this good. . If you love Italian, take a trip to port Richie for this restaurant.

Great pastries . Foods ok. Definitely worth going for the bakery part though so good . Cookies n pastries.

Our server was really nice! Bottles of wine are reasonably priced. Our food was very good. The restaurant is clean (including bathrooms)!

Finally had the opportunity to visit this gem...upon walking in you are greeted with the smell of delicious food being prepared in the Kitchen...there are 3 cases of gorgeous desserts and you will have a hard time picking what you want. Was seated promptly and they had a nice menu 2 for 25.00 for dinners and last a nice Sandwich menu...I did order a Chicken Parm Sandwich to go and tried a corner or it and it was delicious and the Fries were seasoned and delicious as well..I ordered Chicken Francese and it is served with Soup or Salad and Pasta and delicious Garlic Knots. I chose the Soup and it was very good...the Francese was delicious and portion size very nice too...now, those desserts we took home, fresh, delicious and prices right...great experience and excellent food and Bakery...will be back soon!

Food was ok . Very big portions . The crab meat wasn't up to par with the stuffed mushrooms . More garlic n cheese sauce than crab meat . Calamari was very good . Our server was kind and polite . Dressings are home made which great . Floors were old style small tile which I found adorable . There's a bakery section too for sweets .

The moment you walk in the restaurant, you will fall in love with dessert displays. So much to choose from: Cookies, cheesecakes, carrot cakes etc. We ordered the Calamari for starter. It was brilliant, crispy and the crunchiness from the squids just made you want for more. Portion is great for sharing. Veal sandwich was tasty too. The staffs are really nice, good sense of humor. Feeling so much welcomed during the visit. They have lunch special with great deals. Semi formal for the settings, spacious room for group meetings or family dining.

While it was ok the pizza was nothing to get too excited over. Ordered 1/2 extra meatball and they added extra sauce on top which if you aren't a huge sauce person was a big turn off. No need to get fancy folks, just do what a person asked for and it will be fine. Entirely too much sauce on top of the cheese. The side without the meatball looked good.. fettuccine penne with broccoli was fine and the Caesar salad was good. Please revamp your menu online )it still says Coke products).

Wow. Wow wow wow. I can't believe I have lived in Port Richey for over a year and haven't stopped into Argento's yet. The calamari, absolutely top notch. Antipasta salad was nice and decked out with toppings. More toppings than lettuce. Pasta fagioli soup was yummy too but I spiced it up with some crushed red pepper. My fiancé had the tortellini and added two meatballs. The tortellini came in a blush sauce which was tasty! Meatballs were on point too. Our friend had the veal ala sal which came in a veloute sauce which was light and refreshing. It paired well with the veal and mushrooms.I had the Argento's Feast and I couldn't even eat half of it. It was MASSIVE. You get two stuffed shells, two manicottis, and a huge slice of lasagna. All topped with a ton of cheese and some extra sauce. Each part was delicious. The ricotta mixture in the stuffed shells and manicotti was to die for. We also have a bunch of desserts from the bakery, but we are so full we haven't been able to eat them yet! I will report back! We sat on the patio with cute lights and the weather was amazing. Our server was attentive and paced our dinner perfectly. We cannot wait for our next visit!!!

The food was delicious. Bruschetta was yummy. Pasta Fagiola was soo good. My daughter had the chicken parm which she loved. I had the chicken Sal which was divine. The portions were so huge that we both got boxes to eat for lunch the next day. It was excellent if not a little better the next day. Our waiter was great and he told us about weekday lunch specials. Our bill was about $60 for everything plus 2 cappachinos and Diet Pepsi. Of course we could nut fit a dessert so we did not some yummy pastries to go.

I am doing something special for my sons birthday and called to ask Argentos to set aside some cheesecake slices i could pick up after work. I was even prepared to pre pay. The woman was beyond rude and refused to do it. I asked if I could speak with a manager to make the suggestion to add that capability as it's a long drive for us and it would be a nice to have for other people in the same situation. She then said her mom is the manager and acted rude again. I definitely recommend going somewhere else that values their customers like LA Signature Cheesecake or Papa Joe's who were both more than happy to accomodate
