Arepas Donde Flor

Finally ran by for lunch today--this has been on my list forever. Arepas Donde Flor is an old-school food truck conveniently located behind Napa Auto Parts off of College Blvd. not much to look at, but I still had hope. I ordered the Capira, an arepa loaded with chicken and cheese. The ten minute wait was a good sign that I'd homemade. The arepa was good, definitely full of chicken and the cheeses were melted into the package. Overall, Arepas Donde Flor is with a stop-good food, good service at a decent price.

Having lived and worked in Caracas, Venezuela, I fell in love with arepas filled with beans and cheese (called 'domino' in Spanish). When I moved to Florida, I searched for a place which made them. We found Arepas Donde Flor several years ago, when the owner was located at the side of the road in Riverview. We've followed her to her new location, and we always go when my son is home from college. Everything is prepared fresh, reasonably priced, and so delicious. Try it!

Food is excellent and a lot to eat! The garlic sauce is wonderful! I would definitely come back!Hard to find location

Um, no. They looked really good but not paying $36 for two Arepas. It's a food truck in an ally. I feel like we got "rated" do to our lack of melanin.

This spot, hands down, makes *the* best arepas and chapapas I've ever had. And I only say those items because that's all I've tried here so far. Every single bite of the meal had us making "mmmm" sounds. It's the type of food spot that you crave again the next day, and the next.We found this spot while running errands in the area, and visiting another food truck nearby. It is very easy to drive past, so you need to slow down early and really look out when it's your first time trying to locate it. The truck is on a busy highway, but on your right there's a small parking lot, then building with shops, and directly following that is the entrance to the lot for Arepas donde Flor. Roughly 3-4 cars can fit.Her food is made to order, from scratch, so be patient with the wait -- or order ahead online. Although I will say, everything I've gotten here has been absolutely worth the wait. I mean, after running errands in the area I tried to come back for seconds but they were closed.P.S. Guava juice...........and don't forget that garlic sauce! (*mouth salivating*)

Arepas Donde Flor is an amazing place to eat when you are looking for something savory and authentic. I have been eating here for years and my favorite dishes to order are the Tostones and the Reina Pepiada Arepa. although I might be a little biased because all of her food is good you can't go wrong. Her food does take about 10-15 minutes or more depending on the traffic that day which is completely worth it!! people don't understand that this is a small business and there is only one chef running the entire truck by herself. The food is made from scratch so it's fresh!! (Don't expect to get your food in 2 min if that's the case go get some frozen patty McDonald's lol) It doesn't look like much when you pass by her truck but believe me when I say you will not regret it. Also her special sauce is amazing goes great with anything you eat definitely recommend bringing your kids here, taking food to go for dinner after work if you're tired and you don't want to cook which I've done plenty of times, Or even just a one on one experience with your partner! And the food FILLS YOU UPP! which is a plus :))

The food here is truly delicious and authentic Venezuelan food (I was born and raised there) I only give it 4 stars because there was only one person working and she took about 20 - 30 minutes per order because she made everything fresh (again so good!) but she really needed another person to help her. Since I got my food 30-40 minutes before my friends did and we wanted to eat together. But other than that it was great!

Arepas donde Flor is the BEST arepa spot in town. Flor uses her Venezuelan roots to make her authentic seasonings which make her food delicious making your taste buds dance. Her arepas are to die for!!!

Authentic, tasty, affordable. A MUST! Picknick tables for sitting outside and a porta-potty for use. Support your small local businesses!

Really good food, really friendly.I tried Arepa Sifrina, Pelua and Empanadas everything really tasty and good size portions.Bien rico todo, recomendado.!
