Angel Cakes

This is a hidden gem!! I came across it when searching for a nearby bakery, but was pleasantly surprised to see that Angels offers grab and go dinners, the best chicken salad around, wide selection of soup, and prepared meats to accompany sides when I don't feel like cooking. Cookies, breads, biscotti are always on hand. This family owned business is amazing, they have been in this location over a decade, tucked in off of Alt 19, north of downtown PH.If you're looking for a delicious home-cooked meal, baked goods, or need help with completing dinner with meatloaf, chicken, parm, grilled chicken, Parmesan encrusted chicken breast, grilled vegetables. You'll be greeted with a smile and very helpful service. Closed Sunday & Monday. There are daily lunch specials, and weekly specialties; Wednesday chicken pot pie, Saturday fresh cinnamon rolls and/or sourdough bread... you will not be disappointed. I stop in at least once a week for to add-on to a meal or pick up a grab and go. Delicious!

One review in 2012 and a second in 2014? Sooooo one review every two years, I guess, and I'm not sure why. Well, yes I am. This bakery/sandwich shop is in a horrible freaking location. I suspect that the majority of patrons are regulars, and newbies arrive via word of mouth. Why is this a shame? Because they deserve better. Fantastic cookies, cakes, sandwiches as well as prepped meals and soups that can be heated up at home. But their claim to fame is the chicken pot pie. It is only available every other Wednesday. I haven't had one yet, but I've seen them. What I can tell you is that they're so big that they are served in a cake box. Let that sink in for a minute.I frequent the cigar shop next door several times a week. I see their delivery driver buzzing thru the parking lot during the early afternoons, and after hearing the guys in there talk about how good the food was, I decided to give it a try. I ordered an Italian sandwich, which was served on a wonderfully fresh and toasted ciabatta bun with grilled peppers. The capocollo ham popped off with its sassy spiciness, which is something an Italian sammich absolutely needs. Overall, I give it a 4.0/5.0 on my Italian sammich rating scale.I've also tried the chili cheese cornbread pie, and the buffalo beef burrito, both of which were fantastic.

First visit today bc I had a friend tell me that the cinnamon rolls are amazing. Our family is somewhat of cinnamon roll connoisseurs, and that was the best one we've ever had hands down. Glad we found this spot, and can't wait to try some other goodies!

I love angel cakes! Tony and Paula catered our wedding and everyone loved the food. They worked well with other vendors too. We stop by for a cinnamon bun on saturdays and pop pies to die for on Wednesday.

I love Angel Cakes! They have a variety of salads, sandwiches and baked goods. They always have specials including soups and chicken pot pie. Paula really gets to know her customers and makes sure they are happy. My favorite in the Citrus Chicken Salad. The salads come with a whole chicken breast in them. It's a great value because I usually get 2 meals out of a single salad. The chicken pot pie is amazing. The cowboy cookies are super yummy too. I love supporting a local business.

We stopped with a gift certificate we'd won a couple years back. No issues. Lunch sandwiches were large, very tasty, and served with a good pickle and watermelon wedges. The service was very fast and very friendly. We live an hour away - but will be making the trip back!

Awesome food great choices and really amazing Pot Pie!! I went to get a few Pot Pies and came home with hot soup straight from the pot from the kitchen and it was delicious ! I would not know what to say is the favorite would be, just going to say it's all so Good!

This store seems hidden but you can't beat fresh, homemade meals. We took some meals to go and we're very pleased. I would return and will tell others about it. They also cater and I have heard so a very good job.

Angel Cakes catered our daughter's Bridal Shower. They were true "angels"! Everyone at the party not only praised the food for the flavor, but also the manner in which they took care of everything related to the food during the party. Definitely a gem from Palm Harbor! Highly recommend them!
