I won an Instagram giveaway from Andy's Frozen Custard. They sent me a cute box in the mail with an explanation of the history of Andy's. They also sent me two coupons for two custard cups, a pack for s'mores, a candle and a quart to pick up pumpkin pie custard.I came to this location to pick up the pumpkin pie custard. They gave it to me right away, and were very friendly. I was nervous about the flavor bc I don't love pumpkin but it was pretty good. This quart is a good size for a small family. We have quite a bit and will have this for a while. Now I know Andy's is in this location. They also have one in Clearwater on the way to the beach that I've been to, and one almost finished down the street coming to Lutz.

Came in after winning a giveaway from Instagram to receive a quart I won unfortunately they had ran out of the pumpkin pie quarts but Kaylee & Brianna were able to make it happen for us. For replacement item, she gave us a jackhammer a boot daddy and two root beers that were so delicious and we were able to enjoy them there so that was nice. This definitely looks like a newer location, very clean and the drive-through was busy for sure.

Came on opening day. Opening day, 1 topping sundaes were $1. Drive through was packed! We opted to park and walk up which was actually really quick. The place is outdoors for ordering and sitting. Bright and welcoming with menus being large and clear. We walked up to the window and was able to place our order very quickly. They have you stand to the side after placing your order. Which does cause some confusion when the order is ready because they call out the dessert name and not your name or any sort of identification that would make it simpler. So the clerk was calling out an order and staring at us, giving a sort of attitude-ish type look. I let her know that it wasn't ours. She then gave back to the prep area and got ours. It's a 3 at best. I got the turtle sundae and given its custard I guess it melts super fast. I envisioned the sundae to sort of be mixed and different but that's me. Mine wasn't anything special. I think I'll stick with my usual Culver's for custard.

I saw these frozen custard stops on our Midwest trip this summer and now there is one not too far from home. I decided to stop and give it a try. The employees were friendly, the business was attractive with all the neon signs and it was busy. I ordered a small vanilla custard with two toppings and it cost almost $8, which I think is expensive. I got brownies and hot fudge. The brownie pieces were so tiny you could not really taste them and the hot fudge was very good. It's a nice addition for the neighborhood it is in. I would not make a trip or stop again, but always worth giving new places a try.

We visited again, but did the drive thru this time. We brought our own bowls in the car because I knew what to expect. At the drive thru, they asked if we wanted lids, so we said sure, so they won't melt all over. When we got to the window, there were no lids on our concretes. Thank goodness we brought bowls, because during the short 5 minute drive back to our home, everything was melted--concretes and cones.I wish it were better and the workers were friendlier. They seem to be the most unhappy workers there. They have good concepts like the jackhammer, but I would go elsewhere next time.

Like to try out new places and it was their grand opening. Walking up, there was a long line, both walk up and drive thru. It's lit up bright and service was fairly quick. There is a large menu board you can walk up to and look at before ordering. Offerings include mixers (sundae style made of custard) splits, malts, shakes, freezes, and floats. I got a nutty waffle crunch, which was decent, but got soggy if you didn't eat it quickly enough. It actually tasted very similar to my wife's turtle sundae. It didn't stand out as a "I've got to go back" place. Would I go if I'm in the area? Sure! But it's a 30 minute drive from home so not somewhere I'd go to just to get ice cream (custard). But, if you're in the area they may float your boat so to each their own!

Update: Odessa Location.I like to give all new places in my area a try and it's ice cream, so hell yes. We ordered a small vanilla cone and a cookies and cream shake. Let me start by saying the service girl was good, the custard was good, but just good. Now the size of the small size I got was so small that is was basically gone by the time I went from the counter to the car. Completely Underwhelming! If any of you are "Slap Shot" movie fans the great goalie Yvon once said in a interview-when you Do that (commit a penalty) you go to the box for 2 minutes by yourself and feel shame and then you get free. Andy's management if you read this- you should feel MUCH SHAME, the $4.00 I spent on that cone alone should land you in the BOX. They'll let you out after 2 minutes, but lets hope you had time to think about your transgression. What about the Shake, what about the shake you ask?!! Well, half was drunk and the other half now sits on my kitchen counter because it was just "ok" not even a "Good" on that one. Will I go back again.. mayb..probably. Why? It just opened. Maybe there was an error, maybe the size tape measure machine broke. Every place deserves at least two chances. I do recall an ice cream place, in this area, with the initials TT and their smalls are like what I assume your X-large may be. I digress, but Andy's if that is truly your best, do better.

We had the worst experience at the Odessa, Florida location with "team manager" Julianna. We ordered 7 ice creams and when we were handed the brownie sundae that my husband ordered extra hot it wasn't even heated. He said "did you guys forget to heat the brownies" and the girl proceeded to get an attitude and said it's hot. He said here feel it it's cold and went to hand it to her in the window and she said "we don't take things in the window". He said well then just make me another one that's hot and she told us no we could leave. I had to get out of the car and go to the window to get a refund on the sundae because since they wouldn't remake it my husband didn't want his $11 sundae. She told me she couldn't refund me cash that I paid it would have to be a card which I didn't use. After waiting for 10 minutes and her calling the actual manager I finally got my money back. When I asked her for the name of the actual manager the girl told me she would have me trespassed and was going to call the cops. I recorded the entire incident because it was definitely unprofessional. I have never been told I would be trespassed from somewhere for asking for a refund on a messed up order (which we really just wanted remade originally). As many times as I have eaten at Andy's (mainly the one in Sanford) I have never had such an experience or been treated so rudely by a young kid with an attitude. The other girls working were more than polite and helpful but this girl Julianna who declares she is the only one in charge of this location was extremely unprofessional.
