Grabbed a quick bite and enjoyed the Wild Mushroom Flat Bread and a Diet Pepsi. Service was friendly and gave good recommendations. Food was flavorful and hearty.Location is beautiful right in the walkway near the water and the views are lovely day and night. This restaurant is on the Marriott Water Street property.

Fantastic views with an acceptable lunch If you're coming from the hotel lobby, be sure to walk straight. Back and to the left to find the host stand, this took us a second to really figure out as there was no clear signage From the water, simply do the opposite and you won't miss it!Just to start on a high note I did appreciate the service from the host and from the waitrews, they were very kind and very accommodating. They recognized it was a bit too warm and placed us in the shade, and when my wife's drink came out very incorrect they quickly returned a new one that was to her liking. Great service! Picked this spot as a brunch for Valentine's initially, however found out that they didn't do brunch on weekdays, but that's okay we were hungry regardless and happy to try their lunch menu!I went with the lobster roll because well it just sounded like a perfect idea by the water, I was a little let down it didn't taste all that fresh, but well enough to eat. The chips were crisp so there's a silver lining there I ordered an old fashioned and for a restaurant attached to a major hotel, in this day and age, I expected more for the drink. It came to me watered down and with the wrong ice, if you're an old fashioned drinker you understand the pain with this. Overall not super pleased with the location as they had a lot to live up to, we will be staying at the Marriott in a couple months and might give them another try to see if there's some improvement!

Anchor and Brine is one of my favorite quick go-to spots in Tampa. Whether I'm riding my bike over (yes, I valet my bike with the hotel like the VIP it is) or meeting friends for brunch, this place always delivers. The views are relaxing, perfect for people-watching, and the vibe is just right for unwinding. The grouper sandwich, oysters, and ceviche are my usual must-haves--fresh, flavorful, and always hit the spot. Bonus points for being able to rack up Marriott points while indulging, thanks to my Ambassador membership. It's a little win-win situation every time I dine here. Now, the one drawback? The birds. I get it, it's Mother Nature, but those little thieves are aggressive. Don't blink, or they'll snatch a fry--or worse, a whole sandwich--right off your plate.Still, Anchor and Brine is worth it. Good food, great views, and a spot I keep coming back to. Just stay sharp when the birds are circling.

I was staying at the Marriott where this restaurant is located. Ate outdoors, great view and good breeze outside. I ordered the grouper sandwich and the calamari. Waiter recommended the sando blackened. Definitely the way to go, grouper sandwich was on point not dry and very flavorful. Calamari was ok, more peppers than calamari. But it tasted good. All in all a pretty good spot for a hotel restaurant. Waiter was awesome as well.

Oh wow! Everything was perfect. Enjoyed dining outside, looking at the beautiful view and my vegan meal was perfect. Loved my vegan superbowl dish from my first bite until the last one. Look forward to dining here again when I'm in the area. I highly recommend it.

Anchor and Brine sits on the Tampa Riverwalk with a lovely outdoor dining area that is sheltered in case a storm should move in (which it did), but you can also sit inside. The cocktail menu was great and changes seasonally. The whiskey sunset featured Bulleit bourbon, which is a favorite, but the mojito was a little lackluster (we think the mint hadn't been muddled, or maybe wasn't muddled enough). The stone fruit & burrata salad with maple vinaigrette was sweet and savory, perfectly balanced for a hot summer day. Please note that the stone fruit & burrata salad contains only a tasteful sprinkle of microgreens on top, so it's not served on a bed of greens if that's what you are looking for. The exotic mushroom flatbread was incredible! Perfect textures all the way through, topped with beautiful fresh arugula and shaved Parmesan. I wish I had taken a photo! The entrées were delicious. The lobster roll is a twist on the classic with the addition of Chipotle aioli, and the superfood bowl exceeded my expectations. It was so beautifully presented, I hated to tuck into it but it was worth the destruction. So many complementary flavors and textures! I would definitely order it again. If the weather is nice, I recommend sitting outside, because inside, you choose from cozy private booths near escalators (which didn't seem much used) in a setting that didn't feel like part of the restaurant, or the atrium which had a soaring vaulted ceiling which was consequently extremely loud. The booths themselves are nice, and were our choice, but the location of them feels run of the mill. The hostesses and servers were totally on their game. Everyone was so pleasant and kind, the perfect balance of professional and friendly.

Food was not great. At all. Calamari was half a plate and most of the bites I had were the sliced and fried banana peppers they mixed with it. I thought I was tasting the peppers that were sliced for garnish, but no, they were actually mixed in with the fried calamari. And for $19 it just wasn't worth it. The bread on my husband's Cuban sandwich was stale, my daughter's Caesar salad was tasteless, my friend's cocktail had too much mango puree which made it thick to drink, and my kale-quinoa salad was boring, despite the fact it has cherries, grapes, and macadamia nuts. Also, I've never had freezing cold tuna that was that thick sliced with my salad. It was tasteless. The ambiance is good and it's in a great location. Other than that, I would not go back again.

Excellent service. The sangria with a view was what I needed after a hectic day of traveling. The grilled octopus was okay, but some parts were cold, which was a bit disappointing. However, the side of grilled avocado was amazing!

Good selection of upscale priced food. Average service ( server did nothing to make my wife's birthday memorable). Parking price is deceiving as we visited on a Bolts game day/ website claims 50% discount, but in reality they charge the full $50 ( when $35 is posted daily rate, $50 is nightly rate). Riverside seating is a plus.
