Great location for a newer hotel and relatively close to the airport & highways but set in the upscale Midtown development.Only wish there wasn't valet parking, which makes it less convenient to get on your way. One block walk to Whole Foods & Shake Shack is a big plus. The curved plush sofa in the room needs to be deeper, but other than that, adjusted well to the room setup over time. The room setup is more for single occupancy with no door for the shower area and exposed hanger space taht doesn't hold much. Trendy social scene on the 7th floor for folks who are into that. Next time I might try the Element portion of the building as it would be nice to have plates and silverware and a more traditional/functional room layout.Elevator access is pretty good as there's 2 for Aloft and 2 for Element but they're interchangeable so effectively 4 elevators, or still have 3 if one is in service.

5 Stars for a great location, extremely friendly staff, and modern facilities that would tempt me to come here to cowork/have a drink even if I lived locally.A few notes: - This hotel is located in the Midtown complex that includes a Whole Foods, tons of restaurants, spas, shops, and apartments. It's a great location if you're wanting to stay nearby and don't have a car.- Valet is the main parking option. You could probably find a parking spot in nearby neighborhoods, but that would be a bit inconvenient.- Their lobby is in the 6th floor, where you'll also find the WXYZ bar, with a pool table, and a large area that would be ideal for coworking.Ikia, at the front desk, checked me in and was a pleasure. From that moment on, I knew this would be a good stay. The hotel is very new and modern. The room was clean, modern, and minimalist in a manner that was pleasing. Note that there isn't a closed closet, but there is a rack where you can hang things. I also appreciated that they had a steamer in the bathroom along with the hairdryer. Overall, this was a hotel that I'd definitely stay at again and the location and amenities are a big part of that.

This Aloft is located right in the heart of Midtown. A great place to stay that's walkable to everything in this plaza! This location is ideal if you want to stay relatively close to the airport and don't have a car to walk to grab a quick dinner or do light shopping. Its right next to Sunda, a great Asian fusion restaurant, and near a Sephora, Ben & Jerry's + more! The hotel itself looked to share a space with another hotel and to check in you have to ride up to the 6th floor lobby. The person that checked me in was super friendly and let me know which floor certain amenities were on (I believe the gym was on the 2nd floor) and promptly checked me in.The room was clean & small but it was for sure quality over quantity. It had a modern look with a king bed. No closet but a standing rack(?) to hang your clothes and a little wardrobe drawer that doubled as a seat. It was a very functional room and super comfy.

Hotel location was cleanGreat location There were a few cons: Barely enough staff to cover the bar, restaurant and pool area. Once we did get a bartender by the pool she was very nice and helpful. Rooms were smaller than they looked on the webpage, if traveling with kids this wouldn't be ideal due to no door for the bathroom and a mirror that is in between the loft wall which you can clearly see the other person while in/out of the showerParking was NOT convenient as it was only valet offered which is not stated in the booking. We were told it was $25/ night and it turned into $35 upon check out per night. If there is an event going on, good luck getting your car back timely. Valet staff were helpful and friendly even with the amount of volume they were having when we stayed. We prefer the locations with access to self parking.

This Aloft location is amazing! Within a few feet of the door you will find a Sephora, bars, restaurants and even a WholeFoods! If you are going to a buccaneers game or a concert at the stadium this is the BEST place to stay! The amenities are amazing, from the pool to the bar! You will not regret it!

I do not like this chain. They think they're cool and trendy. Rooms are akin to your kids dorm room. When I exited my floor I didn't see a sign for ice. I called the front desk. They told me the ice machine was at the end of the floor. Ok. Did some organizing in the room. Then looked for the ice bucket. Looking Looking Looking Called the desk. "I'm sorry I can't find the ice bucket". To which she replied, "They don't put ice buckets in the rooms..."!!! 'Am I in a Monty Python skit'?Tried to sit on the "sofa" to eat. Bench too short. BTW watch out for the shine damaging palette under the mattress (standard for aloft). Last and least they have a 3 x 4 piece of art in their lobby. It's of the RAPIST Mike Tyson! 2 stars

Nice enough experience. The hotel bar is extremely quiet, which is nice. It's clean and service is good. Gary was our bartender, he is very welcoming and talkative.I wish they prepared better quality bar food to order, which is my only complaint.

Price and location were right for a quick trip to Tampa. I like the minimalistic interior of the Aloft hotels and how welcoming they are to guests traveling with pets. Staff at check in and check out was very friendly, valet was prompt when needed. I don't love most Tampa hotels offering valet only, but it is what it is. Clean room, made for a good night stay. Appreciate the late check out option for Bonvoy members with elite status.

So when I visit Tampa to see my best girlfriend, I always have a weekend full of bar hopping and good food. This time around I was in town for her wedding reception and wanted to find an area/hotel where I could frequent. I have stayed at Aloft collection hotels before and already had high expectations. When I arrived to the Midtown center area, I loved how many restaurants and shops there are because it makes it very convenient during the stay. I parked at valet during my stay which was $29/overnight since I typically Uber/Lyft while I'm in town. Valet was helpful with assisting with my luggage to my room. Also, the check in process was very easy and the front desk staff were welcoming and informative. I stayed on the 6th floor which is the check in floor and the view of the center was amazing. Sal Y Mar is on the 7th floor and has spectacular rooftop views. The room itself was very clean and good size for my stay. I had a queen size bed, a see thru door mini fridge, and I really like the loft area for eating or even working. When picking my room, the staff informed me, the noise from the 7th floor may bother me however I did not hear loud music or people when I was in my room. One complaint that I have is that the water in the shower takes at least 4-5 minutes to heat up. They do have breakfast, however it's offered at Element which is the hotel adjacent to Aloft. The breakfast is $10 if you're an occupant of Aloft and it displayed fresh fruit, cereals, juices, bagels, muffins, and depending on the day the chef will have a special like pancakes with strawberries and Nutella or eggs and sausages that they make on the flat top grill. I have to say during my 4 day/3 night stay, I recommend this hotel. I will be returning as not only was the location of the hotel very beneficial, Aloft Midtown had a very friendly staff and affordable pricing.

I had a rocky stay at Aloft Tampa from check-in to departure. Upon arrival, I was informed that my reserved king room was unavailable due to overbooking, and I was given a double room instead--not what I had booked or expected. The worst part of my stay was my final night. The hotel's catering group had rented out the upstairs space for a birthday party, complete with a DJ blasting music at club-level volume. The bass shook my walls and floor, making it impossible to rest. When I called the front desk, they admitted the party was booked until midnight. Despite multiple calls to the front desk and even corporate, the noise only settled down well into the late evening--far too late, considering my early morning flight. This experience exposed serious management failures, from overbooking rooms to prioritizing event rentals over guest comfort. I cannot recommend this property and would strongly advise staying elsewhere if you value a restful stay.
