Abe's Place Tap & Grill

If you're looking for good bar food, Abe's is the place to go! We sat in the restaurant- as opposed to getting the pick-up service, and I was very impressed! The jalapeño popper were coated with a crisp breading and filled with delicious cheddar cheese- spicy and decadent. The fries were salty and delicious, could have had a little more seasoning- but great nonetheless. The bone-in chicken wings I had were tossed in a medium sauce- great portion size and undeniably flavorful- the medium had a good balance of spicy, sweet, tangy and zesty. Great experience overall with a comfortable sports bar atmosphere.

First timers here as my dear Queen Bee was hankering for a good cheeseburger (well: it ain't Lent YET!) so I did my homework. We managed to get a couple of seats at the bar, which was fantastic. Tracy made us feel more than welcome as we took our seats. She did, BTW, tell us that the burgers here are her fave. She even showed us one and asked one of her other customers for a good word to us!Queen Bee had her usual Cabernet and I a Yuengling draught; easy enough! Tracy told her about the "well brand" of wine as a courtesy and it was actually quite good per my Queen Bee. I was thinking of getting an app, as the selection looks awesome. Since neither of us is overly hungry, we chose to skip it. Before putting in dinner order, tho, I had to rid myself of "beer ballast." Restroom was totally absolutely clean. It looked squared away, smelled clean and so on. Not bad at all for 4:30pm on a Friday, huh? Bar area smelled just as clean and squared away too!Fast forward to our dinner choices...I suppose you already have an idea. "Our Burger" with cheese for QB; Bacon cheeseburger for me. We both ordered medium totally dressed burgers w. fries: blackened fries for her (WTF are those?!); unseasoned crispy for me. Burgers both overcooked...they were more like medium well close to well done. That takes away the fifth star for this experience. We both still liked and ate 'em because they were still delicious. Fries nicely done but I don't think an extra buck should be charged for "blackened" fries...it was just a side of shoestring fries with extra black pepper. Meh...Overall, I'd still say we would return. Tracy is a sweetheart. Her backup Chrissy seems competent too. Place is very clean and the bar seems full of regulars. I'd like to try some of the apps here; QB wants to try their wings. Game on...

Still one of our favorite places to go regularly. One of the best burgers if not THE best burger in the area.. perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy every single time and I'm really freakin picky about my burgers. Chicken sandwich is still amazing as ever.. it's huge.. like hanging off the bun huge so I cut it in half so I have a second sandwich to take home. Wings, steak, and everything we've tried has been great as well - staff is friendly, beer is cold and pricing is fair with good portions. If you haven't tried it out I definitely recommend it.

A good sports bar and restaurant in Clearwater area. As a chicken wings are my favorite food, I always get referred to places. Honestly, this place was fantastic. Ordered the naked bone in wings with blacked seasoning & got several dressings on the side.... YUM! The place didn't cheap out with small wings. Great sized and everything was reasonably priced. Got a patty melt to split & was good but the wings were the winner!! Garlic parm and teriyaki! Recommend this place for wing enthusiasts and/or sports people. Although our household isn't about sports, did notice that they had a ton of screens around for anyone to watch.

Fast service , huge menu selection , large portions everything came out quick , hot and exactly how we ordered it ! For sure will return

My friends stop at the Abe's many times after golf. The beverages are cold, and any drink on the happy hour menu is just $3.25.The chicken noodle soup tastes as I remember my Grandma's. Always a good choice for a light lunch. The fresh wings are delicious. They can be ordered breaded or tossed in your favorite sauce or no sauce at all. If you prefer boneless wings, the fresh chicken breast pieces are on the menu, too.I've also enjoyed their 1/2# burgers (fresh, never frozen), the Fish & Chips, and the Steak Philly (ask for jalapeños to be added, yum).This is a friendly family restaurant.

We have come back here a few times because the food is so good. First things first please get rid of the drain flies. It's very annoying when you're eating in these little flies are all around you. We killed four while we were at your restaurant and there were many more. Second turn the lights down. No one wants a spotlight shining in their eyes while they're eating. Now I will say the food was delicious! Portions were good and everything was very tasty. I had the imposter dinner. Fish was yummy with the rice. The coleslaw was very dry and probably would not order that side again. My husband got blue cheese burger. It was good however the fries were pretty salty. Almost too much. Neighbors got the chicken bowl. Tons of food in there and they loved it. You should really be getting five stars. Service is great and again the food was great it was just everything else listed in the beginning. Hopefully you will get it corrected. Would love to come back.

Basic bar food. Nothing really special about that place. After all, it a sports bar and it gets loud in there. The service was ok.

The food here is very good and portions are generous. We had 8 in our group and our servers Veronica and Kristin were excellent! The ambiance is sports bar-a bit noisy, and fun. They have a great menu with lots of selections. It's quite busy, not surprising, because it's so good! Lots of regular clients.

This place is awesome! I used to work here and it was a great establishment to work for. Super yummy food for a low price! Sports bar ambience, but family friendly too! Perfect for any crowd. And the service is great, wonderful servers here and management
