Super nice with a modern feel and the staff is happy to make recommendations for those of us who may not be familiar with Venezuelan food. Lots of carry out orders while I was waiting for my food and fairly heavy foot traffic for 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Stopped in for lunch and had trouble finding a table. A good sign that this is a great place. I ordered the Chick #3 arepa at the recommendation of the gentleman working behind the counter. It's a plain arepa with pork belly, grilled cheese, tomatoes, avocado and chimichurri sauce. I heard others order the same thing while I was waiting, so I was pretty confident about my order. I also went with the Top 3 appetizer arepa sliders to get a sampling of others.. carne asada, jerk chicken and chicken salad.. each served with white cheese and homemade cilantro aliolo and hot sauce. Both sauces were pretty tasty, but I think I liked the cilantro just a tad bit more. Service was fast and the food was delicious.

This spot is a must when I come to St. Pete. I love that it feels like a local spot- truly when I'm there you see construction workers coming in and family members working behind the counter. It has such a nice vibrant feel to it! Now let's talk about the food. You can smell the seasoning of the food out the door! The tequenos are a perfect snack and come with their tasty sauces (so so good). I've also had their empanadas and highly recommend the carne and the pabellon. And you can't go wrong with any of the arepas! Everything is fresh and hot when it comes out. Highly highly recommend!

When the grandma brings the food out, you want to believe it's good! And it was! What a cozy, welcoming little restaurant! Greeted and taken care of quickly at the front counter. Split room, clean, and happy spot. We ordered the carne assada arepa and pork belly arepa. It was my first time eating one and oh my goodness! It was delicious!! Perfectly seasoned, warm, and yummy as is says on their wall! Definitely worth checking it out! You might even get to hear the waitress sing along the music playing in the restaurant! Fun!

11 Chicks restaurant truly stands out as a gem for anyone craving traditional Venezuelan cuisine. Starting from humble beginnings, this eatery has experienced a modest expansion, making its mark in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. However, the cozy interior means seating can be quite limited, so it's a wise move to get there early, especially if you're planning to visit for lunch. While I was there, it was evident that 11 Chicks enjoys a strong patronage, especially for takeout orders. The diversity of their clientele was striking, ranging from construction workers in their gear to professionals in business attire, all eagerly waiting to pick up their meals. This speaks volumes about the place's appeal across different groups. Now, let's talk about the highlight - the food. Calling it delicious would be an understatement; it's a flavor-packed experience that leaves you wanting more. Each dish served is hot, fresh, and made to order, a clear indication that they don't compromise on quality with pre-made ingredients that sit around for hours. This meticulous attention to freshness and taste makes 11 Chicks a must-visit spot in downtown St. Pete. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and add this restaurant to your list of places to check out.

This might start a Latino civil war, but omg I think Venezuelan style empanadas are the best version.Stopped here after a beach day and sooo glad we did. It was a bit of a wait on a Saturday afternoon but so worth it. The staff was super friendly and we waited inside. Our order (Empanadas Pabellón × 3 $9.00) came out baked to golden perfection. It's a bit tucked away from DTSP but still close enough to walk to if you're parked there.

Fast service I ordered the 1 cheese and one beef empanadas. They were excellent. I plan to go back and try the Venezuelan ones made with corn tortillas too. The empanadas are served with both a green and red sauce. Red is a little spicier. Both are great pairings. Really cute decor inside too. Comfortable seating with spanish music.
