Amazing tamales just don't go when the guy is working at the cart because he charges you whatever he feels like. Every time I go he tries to shortchange me and only do I get the right price when I give him the exact amount. After the last time when he tried to short me a dollar and I asked him where my other dollar was he gave me a dirty look and gave me a quarter back.I said oh I guess you need the money more than me so you can go ahead and keep the change I guess. I won't be back unless I see the women working at the cart because the women are honest and the men are not

This is a must stop by location when you are in San Diego. The low amount of reviews does not justify the quality/authenticity of the tamales. I bought 6 to bring back home on my flight!Tamales- Chicken Tamales in banana leaf- Masa was very moist and flavorful and not dry like most tamales. The amount of chicken meat is very generous, moist, not a lot of kick, but there is a little spice in there. The Pork tamales were very tender and you can tell it was cooked in its sauce. You can't go wrong with either, just get both!!Location - Senior's cart is on the side of the chevron station. Very easy to find.Service -Senior was really kind. After my comment of how flavorful the tamales were, he shared that he would have a line in the morning. I came at 1pm and he had about only 8 of the chicken and 4 of the pork tamales. We will come back when we make a trip back to San Diego!

Amazing tamales! It was a little hard to find the stand and there was a line since it was right before Christmas, but it was worth the wait! My family loved them all!

Tamales headquartered at Chevron. If you love tamales this is one really good spot.Don't keep driving by wondering. They are well made, wrapped nicely and there is an assortment to choose from, from beef, chicken, cheese & jalapeno ( but they need more cheese) and more. The masa is excellent. I have spent a few holidays with my friend's Mexican family making hundreds of these, so I know a good tamale. The hot sauce pictured in my photos is from my kitchen as far as I know they don't have hot sauce at this little stand. Each tamale will run you $3.50, the ones wrapped in banana leaves are $4.Add your own sour cream, mole, diced onions and cilantro.... Or just eat them as is.I will definitely be back to get more of these excellent tamales.

Delicious tamales!I had the beef, pork and the strawberry. All tamales cost $3.50-4. I think it's cash only, so bring your all your laundry money, you can skip a few rounds of laundry and enjoy these delicious tamales instead. So good I forgot to take pictures before devouring them.

I bought a variety of tamales here today to try. They were the best I ever had.I was so happy they sell champurrado too. Pregnancy cravings satisfied. Definitely recommend the banana leaf tamales.Yes, it is a food cart, yes it is located at a gas station but best believe it is one of the best I ever had. This is your sign to go and check them out.Big thank you to the kind man who served me today. He was very nice and definitely hardworking. Man is out here doing his hard work while its pouring rain. I pray they own a restaurant some day. Their food is good.
