Pork mole:no mole flavor and stringy chile or pork. I couldn't tell. Right into the garbage.

Very disappointed I tried out to tamale my life at the Sammamish farmers market I ordered the special six for $22I ordered three of the vegan tamales two strawberry and one pineapple. What I received was three vegan two strawberry and one refried bean tamale. In Addition to Getting my order incorrect and not finding out until I got home, when I got home some of the vegan tamales had raw 'batter' it's like some of them were precooked, and others were just raw and gooey. The strawberry is filled with coconut, so be aware if you don't like coconut. And which I did not order you can see in the photo attached.Hi Irene!!! Business owner!!I don't know what you think Yelp is used for, but my understanding is that Yelp is my review of my experience, which is what I did are you asking me to reach out to you on another platform? That would be a first for me ???

The photo says it all. This was suppose to be pork mole but tasted bland with a texture of stringy poblano chile. Not worth the $4.35!

I would say this is the best place for tamales in the whole Puget sound!! Im from Mexico and had tamales my whole life, there's no other place that takes me directly back to my country with the great taste of every different tamal. Very good service, people are awesome and really nice! Good job guys!

Awful, ordered from them to have a meal catered for a meeting and they shorted us an entire $144 tray of tamales and all the dessert, plus charged us for utensils and didn't deliver them. Their response was they can give partial credit. No care for the fact we have a meeting and no way to eat it and not enough food. $1000 order completely useless.

Authentic preparation with novel and traditional flavors.Been here several times at the Mercer Island Farmers Market. This has been a great add to the market! The stand is operated by two folks and is very efficient. You wait less than a minute for the food. The standard tamale to get are the chicken mole but there are some novel variants including bison, bbq brisket, and others.Be sure to check this place out at the market!

Never even got to try the food. They arrived late at the pop up and after an hour waiting the waiter said he didn't have wi-if and could only take cash. It's 2022. There are mobile hotspots. Why would you rely on the business to give you Wi-Fi and why do you arrive without all your devices charged?I wouldn't even hire them for a snake fight.

You know finding a good tamale is not so easy. At least for me, it hasn't been. Until now. My son turned me on to this place. I'm not an easy person to please when it comes to tamales. I come from a family who did these every year. We did them right and we did them well. So I was a bit skeptical. Especially after seeing some of the reviews. But my son persevered and said you have to try these. Ok game plan in place. He did a preorder so that we could have these for xmas morning. My menu: tamales, pan dulce (mexican bread) and mexican hot chocolate. I was prepared to have chorizo on hand also just in case these didn't work out. I think my son ordered two types but I can't be sure. I'm saying this because he received two orders of the same tamales. Seems like they were up their ears in orders. His was a pick up but they delivered instead, so there was a bit of a mess up. But no worries, the tamales were handed over. They package these in in tin containers with secure lids. You also receive two different types of sauces, one a deep red and the other a spicy green. And spicy it is. The red sauce was deep and rich tasting. Not sure what was in this but it was very good. Ok on to the star of the show, the tamales. They comes wrapper in their husks, of course and also have a wrapper on the outside that says what type it is. Ours were pork with mole. Ours were not hot so we used the microwave to heat. I would suggest about a minute and half to reheat and they are perfectly hot. Off comes the wrapper and here we go. One of my biggest pet peeves has been to have a tamale that either has too much masa or too little meat or both. Not the case here. The masa could melt in your mouth, I swear. Just as smooth as can be and flavorful. The meat was plentiful however the taste was a bit bland but the sauce that was included took care of that bigtime. Honestly it was one of these eat one and then should I eat another? It was a yes. These are good tamales, really good. Being mexican and having experience doing these, I would suggest seasoning the meat a bit more but these are again, very good. On a side note, I tried and tried to purchase a gift card on the site and had major problems and had to have someone from the company help to make this happen. Gift cards should be an easy thing to do, as it is on most food sites. So to finish, would I purchase these again? Yes I would. I would also like to purchase a few more of the items listed on the website. I think maybe this place was overwhelmed with orders and they should prepare for this. Once people hear about a good product, your business will go up substantially. Also, we fought on who was getting any leftover tamales. There was only 6 left out of 2 dozen. I got 2. Score for me. Try this place.

*vegan review*We passed this place on our way to Costco yesterday and decided on whim to try it out on our way home. While we were in line for checkout at Costco I placed the order on my phone for a 6-bundle of vegan black bean/sweet potato tamales. When we got to the shop, the person working said they only had 2 hot tamales available in that flavor, so the remaining 4 in our order were frozen for us to steam at home. Overall the online order/pickup experience was smooth and quick.Once we got those two tamales home, we gobbled them up QUICK because they are GOOD. Masa is moist and fluffy, filling is a good balance between black beans and sweet potatoes, and the salsas are perfection. For comparison, the only other vegan tamales we've tried in Seattle are from Frelard Tamales, which I like a lot but my husband doesn't like at all (he's Mexican and thus is veryyyyy particular about his Mexican food). That being said, both of us LOVED these tamales and both of us give 5 stars. We'll definitely return here, and would love to see more vegan options in the future too! Will give an update here once I've steamed the 4 frozen tamales.

I visited the Queen Anne Farmes's Market today and stopped by your booth. I was met by a wonderful young man who sold me some tamales and was is a delight. He was friendly and knew a great deal about the tamales. My husband and I enjoyed them for dinner. I grew up in East Los Angeles and I would say your tamales were some of the best tamales I have ever eaten. I plan to go back next week for more!

Perfect tamales for the perfect Christmas Eve dinner (a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes). We pre-ordered the uncooked pre-frozen tamales for the 2nd year in a row. The instructions for steaming the 2 dozen tamales are crucial. Steam for at least an hour, test temperature, then continue for up to 30 minutes more. The filling will be cooked thoroughly at 165 degrees F, BUT continue until the masa is about 200 degrees F. This gives fluffy yet firm masa for the best tamales. In years past we have tried other tamale makers, some are out of business, others are not as good. We had the chicken and the poblano tamales with green and red sauce. We also had mail order Mole Negro from Guelaguetza which was great. Looking forward to more on New Year's eve, and several birthdays.Cheers!
