Food was delicious, wine was incredible, staff was professional and fun. A little pricier so good for a date night or special occasion. We sat at the bar (in the back room) which was lovely but would love to try sitting at the counter next time or grabbing a table on the deck out front.I'd love to make this my new neighborhood go-to!

Food was delicious. Small shareable plates. The waitress was very well informed about the menu options. Provided great suggestions. As the plates were brought to our table, the waitress divided the portions amongst the 4.Large bar service.Service was on point.Very clean simple nice decor.Street parking.

We went to Tama for my birthday. It was very cozy and elegant. The waiter was very attentive and checked on us and filled our water glasses about four times during the night. We ordered the pita with 3 kinds of dip and the tuna tartare for appetizers. Both were good. Then for the main entrees, we had the short rib with orzo and the grillled seabass. We agreed that the short rib was our favorite. It was very tender and had an umami taste, which also seeped through to the orzo. The grilled seabass was expensive at market price, but it was deliciously charred just right. It was de-boned, so very easy to share and eat.I would visit again to try the other dishes.

Tama is one of Chicago's newest fusion restaurants, blending mediterranean, Asian, and South American cuisines. Such a treat if seated at the Chef's Table (even thought the bar stools are super close to each other)! Loved that Chef Giovanni was there giving reco's on top dishes! 2 of us were very satisfied with 3 savories + dessert - Fresh watermelon & ginger seasonal cocktail - Patatas bravas - Spanish crispy potatoes that you gotta toss in the sauce! - Hiriatiki cold salad of tomatoes, strawberries, & feta - Short rib orzo was melt in your mouth delicious - Namelaka - Japanese chocolate & cardamom mousse

I went to Tama last night for the first time and was absolutely blown away. From start to finish, the entire experience was superb. Our waitress, Maria was also an absolute gem, knowledgeable, and so much fun making our dinner all the more better. I started off with the I Woke Up in Ibiza cocktail which I really enjoyed - the watermelon was super refreshing on the hot night. My boyfriend and I ordered the patatas bravas, beef lion skewers, short rib orzo, and empanadas. I am a vegetarian so I did only eat the patatas bravas and the empanadas but man, were they both so tasty. My boyfriend who is typically a harsh critic enjoyed every dish and was raving about Tama when we left. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place and you will not be disappointed if you go. I will note you do have to order all of your food at once but that did not make a difference in our meal and shouldn't in yours either. Thank you Maria and Tama for a spectacular first experience. We cannot wait to come back already!

amazing all-around. i came here on a date and we ordered a slew of items - the cocktails are interesting spins on classics and the food is an innovative blend of different cuisines. i forgot the names of the cocktails we ordered (i believe they switch out the cocktails frequently) but they were so good and strong! for food, we went with the turmeric & herb pita, seabass crudo, horiatiki, shrimp, beef loin skewers & truffle, the short rib orzo, and the namelaka. next time i would probably order 1 less dish as this was kind of a lot of food for 2, but very glad i got to try a bunch of stuff. everything was amazing, but if i had to pick some standouts, it would definitely be the beef loin skewers and the seabass crudo. the skewers were ridiculously tender - almost tasted like wagyu! they don't skimp on the truffle either, so if you like truffle def get this. i've tried lots of crudos but never seabass. this is a very delicate tasting fish - i think the marinade and watermelon in this dish paired well with the fish & made for a refreshing summer meal. definitely want to return to try the other dishes!

Celebrated my birthday at Tama with my husband, and we will definitely be back! Small menu, and we enjoyed every single item we ordered. The pita and dips and empanadas were absolutely delicious. Our favorite was definitely the patatas bravas, sooo satisfying! We love how different this restaurant is than many other restaurants in Chicago, and you can really tell the chefs perfected their dishes. It was also really cool to sit near the kitchen and hear them converse and cook. It was pretty busy for a Thursday evening but the food came out decently fast.

Tried Tama for the first time last night and it was fantastic. HORIATIKI - tomato, strawberry, olives, feta and capers. Delicious Mushrooms were cheesy, salty and earthy. Patatas bravas were perfectly cooked potatoes with a yogurt sauce with a perfect kick. The beef loin skewers were so tender and flavorful. The short rib and orzo was amazing. Great deep beef flavor. So happy to have Tama in the neighborhood

We sat at the chefs counter to watch them cook. I liken it to watching Monet paint water lilies- just true art. We ordered pita and dips (came with tzaziki, hummus, spicy hummus - all great, regular hummus was my favorite. Fantastic tuna tartare- and a great portion size as well. The Avgolemono Ramen was so unique and delicious. The noodles were firm and clearly made in house. It feels like this will quickly become a signature dish- not just within the restaurant but within the city. We also got beef truffle skewers which was delicious. On top of the fantastic food was a really friendly staff and a great vibe. There's an upstairs and back bar area which are great and each section has its own personality. Drinks were delicious as well and super creative... all while not becoming too sugary like many cocktails. This place is a true hit and can't wait to be back. Book your reservations now because soon enough it's going to be hard to get in!
