We were looking for a spot to have lunch one day and ran across Takumi. Our server was a delight and even ask to take our photo with him. The 2nd time we took our friend and her sister for my friends birthday and had hibachi. The food and entertainment was excellent but that little robot bringing desert and singing Happy Birthday made the night. Highly recommend!!

Sad to see it, but I echo recent reviews that this place has struggled to maintain the standard they had when they first opened. On a recent visit solo at a time they were not busy at all, waited literally 15 minutes after being seated to finally flag down a server myself to take my order. In the meantime, I watched the servers fully ignoring me, waiting around, doing nothing (talking to each other by the bar) or doing trivial things like straightening the salt and pepper on tables. It seems the server later forgot about my food so waited a long time for my food to actually come as well. On this recent visit, the food was still good but in past recent visits it's been inconsistent and is sometimes overly salty or not seasoned properly at all. I've learned to always double check my check here because there is a waitress who has messed up my check not once, not twice, but multiple times. When this place hits, it's amazing, but it's struggling to do that consistently these days.

I stopped by here in the Fall and it was good. Stopped by recently and wasn't the same experience.Chef Jeff was awesome and he gets 5 stars. The place was looking a bit rough, probably because it was a busy night. Drinks were great BUT the food was Meh. The Omega roll literally had flavor. We had to wasabi and ginger it up. Someone in our party found hard plastic in their sushi roll, it was comped but that's always a damper. The hibachi chicken was great and so was the fried rice. But veggies were off and the noodles were too sweet. All in all it was just okay. The bill was pricey - lots of food but taste was meh.

We had a nice time at this restaurant. It was nothing particularly special but was good comfort food if you're craving some Japanese cuisine. I got the chicken hibachi which was as expected and we got the love roll which was okay - wouldn't get again. The prices were a bit much for the quality of the food but I guess we were paying for the ambiance which was very nice, modern and with friendly, and timely service. Would recommend for families or dinner but not an authentic dining if that is what you're after.

A great spot for family, friends, or special celebration event! The chefs make it fun, engaging, and interactive. One really standout thing is that they have a singing robot bring the whole table dessert for someone's birthday, which is incredibly fun! We split the steak & shrimp hibachi & fire takumi sushi. The sushi roll was so great! Could improve with their quality of the hibachi vegetables, they didn't seem all that fresh and sadly our steak was tough. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails, they are watered down. Keep in mind: If you pay with card there is a $3+ charge & if you split a hibachi meal with two people there is a $9.95 charge.

I enjoyed my Sea Bass dish and the sushi roll I ordered (I don't normally see honey in the mix). I felt that the cocktails were a bit watered down but the price wasn't too expensive. We were able to get a table easily without a reservation for Friday dinner but there were only two of us and did not care to be at the hibachi tables. Casual place so don't feel the need to dress up.

Food was good and the ambiance was cool. They have it set up for live music, but there wasn't anything going on when I was there. The ramen was good. I'll definitely try it again. I docked a star because my table was dirty and they didn't have chili oil.

Came here for a quick lunch. The staff (Gina in particular) was super sweet and helpful. She was able to accommodate gluten-free and was super nice about it. I really enjoyed my meal here and the sushi was good quality. The ambiance of the restaurant is cute Japanese with various Disney Mickey Mouse statues and cool vibes. I do recommend this place!

The hibachi experience is certainly entertaining, and the food is good. We found the service was somewhat inattentive, and more attention should be paid to cleaning. This was our first visit, so we opted for a seat at one of the hibachi tables rather than the regular tables. While this was entertaining and fun, in the future I would sit at a regular table on the assumption you would get all your food at one time. With the hibachi we opted for fried rice, so that was made first and then served onto our plates. While we were eating the fried rice (so it wouldn't get cold) the chef cooked the vegetables and served them. So we naturally started eating the vegetables while the chef cooked the meat. By the time the meat was served I was mostly done with the rice and vegetables, and starting to feel a little full. So the flow wasn't great, but the experience was certainly entertaining. The food was good, but not great. We had filet mignon, which was tender but didn't have much flavor (but they do put a yummy sauce on the table, which helped). I also had shrimp, which were good. We plan to try the sushi next time in the hopes that it will be more impressive. The space is quite large, with a huge television in the main dining area with the hibachi area in a separate room that has rollup doors that don't open anymore (they were left over from the restaurant that used to occupy the space). The menus we were given had oil or grease on them, and that got transferred to our plates that the hostess put the menus on. Those ended up being the plates they put our food on, which was a bit unappetizing. While the hibachi experience was fun, I wouldn't opt for that again. Fortunately they do have a pretty wide selection on the menu, so we'll give them another chance in the future and hope for a better experience. But it was good enough that we will try them again.

Very good hibachi experience in the Franklin area. Food is so flavorful and generously portioned even if it's from the kids' menu. I ordered a kids' plate to share with my picky eating toddler and it was perfect for the two of us. The chef was interactive with our group while cooking which made the experience and ambiance enjoyable.
