My lovely wife and I were looking for a relatively quick dinner before seeing a weeknight show at a nearby Lincoln Avenue venue. We chose Takito Street, and boy were we pleased with our dining experience here. We were surprised to hear from our kind server that we made it here in time for Happy Hour (HH takes place here Tuesdays through Saturdays 4-6PM). The margaritas are half price during HH, so I went with the tamarindo ginger and my love was impressed with the cucumber margarita. The tacos served here are tiny but tasty. No complaints from us about the flavors of the cochinita pibil or the "lite" shrimp tacos. Don't forget to check out the interiors and exteriors for some fun photo opportunities.

Let's taco about a baby! I hosted my daughter's baby shower at Takito Street. It was the perfect venue! There is a room towards the back of the restaurant that is designed for small parties. We served 25 guests comfortably in the space. The food was delicious as always. Three different tacos, esquites, and pineapple guac were served family style. We had margarita and mimosa towers (or momarita and momosa towers ) as well as strawberry agua fresco towers for the non-drinkers. The baby shower theme was Winnie the Pooh and the restaurant team found vintage Winnie the Pooh cartoons which played on a movie screen during the entire shower. Such a thoughtful touch!Management and servers alike made sure the party was a complete success. Everyone left full and happy.

It's an alright small place to drink and dance. I'd prefer the crazy Wrigleyville drunkards, antics, and insanity if I really wanna dance and drink like EDM glowstick dancer on molly. But okay place to blast your eardrums out if that's your kinda thing. I used to DJ and just prefer listening to music at audiophile levels, loud, but not loud AF for no reason to destroy your eardrums in a drunken stupor, but that's alot of places like here. I also used to love breakdancing and dancing is fun here though the music to me wasn't that engaging, but I'd rather ballroom dance of some sort or watch the skills of some bboys and bgirls.

Fun spot to brunch with live dj and amazing dishes. The tacos al pastor and carne asada were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our server constantly topped off our bottomless mimosas for the 90 minute limit. The french toast looked amazing too will definitely be back to try more!!! Overall friendly staff, good ambiance and great food!

Takito Street has a great bottomless mimosas brunch deal and also has sneakily good food. The chilaquiles were super tasty and the drinks are actually pretty strong. The service is always pretty quick and I've never had any issues. I will say the music is pretty loud and the vibe shifts can be jarring at times, but it's still a good time for brunch with friends. It's usually not that crowded either.

My friend and I stopped by Takito Street around brunch time and I thought this was a great, casual eatery. We sat outside - they had a small patio space with a few tables - and the service was really fast.I got the pineapple agua fresca which was nice and refreshing on a hot day. I also ordered the al pastor tacos which were very well seasoned and the meat was tender. Overall, a solid taco option in Lincoln Park!

Stopped in for bottomless mimosas and brunch on a Saturday around 1145am. We made reservations but the place was absolutely empty with maybe 1-2 other tables occupied. Once the mimosas and food came out, I understood why. The deal is good but the mimosas are premade in carafes but that made the champagne flat so there were no bubbles. I know a lot of bottomless places do that, but if you don't have the rush to sustain going through them fast enough, it makes a difference. I ordered the omelette which was very wet inside and the potatoes on the side were super oily. I will say that the place is pretty big and the service was great! Overall I wouldn't come back for brunch but I was intrigued by their taco Tuesday and margarita deals.

The smallest portions I have ever seen for the highest price. Don't come here. The guacamole for $12 was in a teeny tiny bowl and the two tacos were the size a six-year-old would eat.

This was our first time visiting Takito Street, and we were not disappointed! In fact, we were completely wowed by the creativity of the menu. As luck would have it, it was still Happy Hour when we arrived, so we started our meal with the chipotle bean dip topped with pork belly, the chips and salsa, and a couple beers. Batting a thousand so far!Moving on to the main menu, we ordered the shrimp tacos, the queso tacos, and the wild mushroom tacos -- all outstanding. As if the exceptional food wasn't enough, our server was just delightful, and after our meal, we had the pleasure of chatting with Mario (the owner) to learn a bit more about the genius of Chef Yanni in the kitchen. Mario even convinced us to try the salsa dancing lessons on a Friday night! We can't wait to go back!!
