Dine in or take out, by far the best sushi spot in Wayland. The workers are always so kind and fast with their service - from sitting us to completing the takeout order. There's also an incredible salt water tank with coral reefs and Nemo's haha. There's also a bar!! Great vibes and perfect ambiance.

Ordered take out from here. There was nothing missing from the order and it came on time. I felt that the rolls were a bit bland and had a taste similar to grocery store sushi. The fish was good, but could definitely be fresher. Too average for the price.

The service was good. Much of the fish didn't taste fresh. A lot of the sashima deluxe was not of good quality and some fish smelled . Ambiance was okay with average seating and lighting.

Very clean establishment. Friendly and quick service. I ordered edamame and the 5 veggie maki which hit the spot perfect for a nice light lunch. My mom ordered the bolgogi bento box and said it was pretty good- she was hoping it would be spicier, but was satisfied. Hubby ordered a shrimp sushi (not sure what it was called) and he was raving about the homemade wasabi as his eyes were watering. He enjoyed his fried gyoza and said it tasted healthy- not greasy at all. The server was super kind and extremely attentive, checking on us multiple times. Prices were extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!

Take out was expensive but very good. Most of the food was still hot by the time we got it home. Their steamed dumplings are particularly good. The sushi was generally good but their rice did not have the stickiness that one would expect from a top Japanese restaurant. The shrimp tempura was still warm and almost crisp... I think this dish is best right out of the kitchen. I would certainly order their food again but perhaps a not as many courses. We had a lot of left overs.

We had dinner at Takara in Wayland tonight and it wasn't very good. I've been going to this restaurant for a number of years, and although the sushi is pretty good, I ordered an entrée from the regular menu tonight. This is something that I usually get when I go there, but the portions were less than half of what they used to be. I ordered an udon noodle dish with chicken which used to be served in a bowl and tonight it was served on a plate. There was hardly any chicken. Additionally, I ordered a salad Which also used to be served in a bowl. Tonight the salad came and what was a little bit larger than a soy sauce plate, perhaps 3 inches in diameter. There were approximately three pieces of lettuce with a half tablespoon of dressing that was falling off the side of the plate, which was the result of it not being served in a ball. I can understand the need to control food costs, but this was outrageous. I was so hungry that I had to order a third item. I will think twice about going there again.
