A quick glance at google will send you to Punjab cafe or the Tumeric house but Taj delivers quality Indian food unparalleled to their competitors. Their Naan is the best in the neighborhood..we always get the stuffed basket of naan and can't shy away from how good it is. We personally love heat and the medium here is for a baby but the effort they put in to the flavor of their curry sets them apart from other local spots.

Portions may look small but actually quite good. Ordered chicken tikka and beef vindaloo. In addition, for apps veg samosa and naan basket. Veg samosa are really good and if you dine in, there are 3 sauces and they are so good. The one that is spicy is my favorite if you like spice, got a real kick to it. The naan basket was unfortunately disappointing. Not a lot of flavor and really tasted like plain bread. Vindaloo was my favorite with strong flavors and a good spice. Unfortunately the chicken tikka was too creamy for me. It seemed more like a butter chicken more than anything so wasn't a fan

Absolutely perfect. Was visiting some friends and we had an urgent need for Indian food and wanted to take out. We were driving around Sunday night and as fate would have it the first place we chose was closed, so we found ourselves at Taj. We walked in and there were several takeout orders on the counter and the phone was ringing non stop so we knew that was a great sign. We spoke to a lovely man at the counter and let him make modifications to our order (spicy not medium, onion kulcha in addition to garlic naan - both were the correct choice) and ended up with the following dishes:- mini veg samosas (delicious and perfectly sized for an app to share. Come with three incredible chutneys- tamarind, green, one sort of raw onion tomato-y one that was out of this world)-garlic naan and onion kulcha (each come with one large piece that is perfect to share)- aloo gobi (can't go wrong)- baingan bharta (a sleeper hit. Chose this one to try something new. The description sounded amazing and it did not disappoint)- tikka masala paneer (also, cant go wrong.) Overall 100/10 meal. We took a copy of their menu because we were feeling optimistic and it went right up on the fridge. Every time I visit, I'll definitely demand an order!

Initial impression after my first experience is that the "Taj Modern Indian Cuisine" offers decently good Indian food. Looking forward to check out more from their menu in future. For appetizers, we got the Samosa channa chat which was good, the samosa's tasted fresh, the chat could have been more flavourful though. For entrée Channa masala was good and went well with the batura breads which were nice and fluffy. Their garlic naan although a bit pricey @$4.5 were loaded with flavor n garlic bits..loved them.

My cousin took us here for lunch. This place is very humble and definitely nothing fancy. We order dishes we knew and loved. We had samosas, garlic naan, chicken and beef marsala and chicken korma. Overall, I wasn't floored as the food tasted very similar to other Indian restaurants I've been too. Nonetheless, the food was still tasty. I am a sauce over rice girl, so the marsala and korma sauces were good alone over basmati. The only negative thing I found was the beef was tough. I'd come back if someone suggested it.

Taj isn't much to look at, but man is the food good. I've visited there twice in the last month or so and I've left stuffed and content, happily smelling of fenugreek and garlic. I can't wait to go back!

This place is awful! Zero stars!! Ordered chicken Tikka masala lunch w/ pakoras. Serving either old or boxed food. The masala was disgusting. The sauce had an overpowering coconut flavor. Took one bite of the chicken and i don't know if it was old or if they serve bad microwaved meals. Pakoras were dry. The rice was mushy and it also had a strong coconut flavor. As I was paying, I saw a woman placing boxed Indian cheese inside clear plastic containers, on top of what I believe was rice pudding. I asked if the food is also from packages and the gentleman ringing me up assured me everything except the desserts are made fresh to order. At that point, I should've followed my instincts and asked for my money back.Needless to say, the entire meal went in the trash after one bite. I will never go back and would strongly suggest others stay away. Do not trust those rave reviews for this place.
