I recently dined at Taj Mahal and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the vegetarian samosas, garlic naan, and butter lamb. Each dish was packed with flavor and showcased the depth of Indian cuisine. Although we opted for mild spice to accommodate a friend, I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought out a side of extra heat just for me--such a thoughtful touch!The samosas were served with a delightful variety of chutneys that perfectly complemented the crispy pastries. The garlic naan was warm and fluffy, while the butter lamb was rich and savory. The service was attentive without being overbearing, adding to the overall positive experience.We visited for a late lunch, so the restaurant was quiet, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. I also enjoyed a couple of their cocktails, which were both refreshing and well-crafted. Overall, Taj Mahal is a gem for anyone looking to enjoy flavorful Indian dishes in a comfortable setting. Came here on a Sunday evening based on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! We had an awesome server who gave us some great recommendations and was an overall lovely human. One thing I found super unique about this restaurant was the amount of different nans they had! From Serrano stuffed nan to your classic / garlic nan there were many new variations to try! I've heard great things about their takeout as well, so definitely will be ordering from them in the future. Recommend: chicken Korma, paneer nan, vegetable samosa ( a little spicy) and of course the mango lassi

From the moment we entered this restaurant to the time we left, our group of 6 was treated like royalty. Between Veronica our server and Gill the owner, we felt welcomed. The food was excellent. I had the lamb vindaloo and my wife had the butter chicken. Two of our group were novices and Veronica explained the sauces, seasoning, and spice. Everything was wonderful.I wish you were in Queen creek, but you're worth the hour drive. I will be back.

While living in Prescott for a year Taj Mahal became one of my go to places as I love Indian food & they were so good. When I moved to Chandler & realized they had a Scottsdale location 20 minutes away I was all over it.Vegetable samosas - crispy filled pastry filled with potatoes, peas, and spices. 2 pieces. Served with chutney.Vegetable curry - mixed vegetables in a spiced sauce. Ofcourse I made it extra hot.Peas Pulao - basmati rice sautéed with turmeric, onions, peas, almonds, & raisins.Garlic roti - whole wheat Indian bread. The only bad thing I can say is the parking is horrible as this is a busy area with lots of restaurants & not enough parking.I've been to Taj Mahal (both locations) many times & every thing is always great. This is by far my favorite restaurant in AZ.

I was reminiscing my days living in San Jose today and got in the mood for some Indian food.I've met the owner briefly a few times when he's visited my families restaurant so I thought this was my chance to return the favor. I came in and thought it looked really nice and smelled even better. The service was quick and the waitress was very polite. My cousin and I ordered some samosas, chicken Karahi, chicken vindaloo, and some garlic Naan.EVERYTHING that I had tonight was incredible and had such great taste. I loved the three sauces for the samosas (a bit too much tang on the tamarind for my cousin tho). I've never tried chicken karahi, but the idea of a fruit and nut curry with some spice sounded good. Those random bites with a grape were so unique and unlike anything I've ever had. The vindaloo had great acidity and spice with a great cook on the chicken itself. I havnt enjoyed a meal quite like this one in a while and look forward to my next visit :)

WOW!!!The Taj Mahal was literally AMAZING!!! I've never had better Indian cuisine anywhere. The meat samosas were juicy, decadent and so fresh. The garlic naan paired fantastically with the chicken tikka masala. The naan was buttery and delicious and the chicken tikka masala was astounding, so flavorful! Not to be dramatic, but this was one of the best meals of my life. It was pretty empty when me and my friend went, which surprised me!!! The staff was super friendly and the vibe of the place was really fun and exciting.Seriously, please go here, it's AMAZING!!

I have this place listed as one of my favorite restaurants. Atmosphere, food, service all are excellent. Had dinner with my sister and our friend for the first time. What a fun, enjoyable experience. Curry Goat, butter chicken, Tandoori chicken, Naan bread, and spicy chicken appetizer were flavorful with all the authentic spices and ingredients. Plenty of food to share and take home after sharing. The food leaves such a satisfying taste in your mouth. The wait staff and manager did a wonderful job serving us and making sure we ordered the appropriate side accompaniments with our entrées. Very frieny and inviting.Can't wait to go back for more.
