Authentic Filipino food packaged in "okay tayo pare!" culture by owner Mark H. This is the place to get a fix for your pinoy food cravings. They do dine-in, take-outs, and party size orders, like lechon.

This is a very hidden place. Once you arrive at 1525 A st Ne just look for suite 106 and it's in there. I know the sign says SAAP Fusion but it's on their drink menu.We ordered the ube crumble and the halo halo. Ube crumble was good and the amount of sweetness was just right.Halo halo was much sweeter compared to the ube one and has lots of topping in it. Overall it was a good experience. I haven't tried other locations for Halo Halo so I cannot compare much but it was definitely on the sweet side.

These guys are located in suite 106 just to the right of Las Margaritas Mexican restaurant. They share the same spot as Saap Fusion, which is Cambodian cuisine. For those that don't know, Taglish is a mashup of Tagalog(Filipino language) and English. Saap in Cambodian means very delicious. Ironically, the same meaning in Filipino is called Sarap. If you refer to my pics, I posted menus for all the cuisine they serve here. I came mainly for the Filipino food so what I ordered was Garlic Fried Rice, Pork Sisig, Pork Bbq Inihaw, Palabok, Lumpia, and of course Halo Halo. The Garlic Fried Rice(wasn't charged because steamed rice was included but I wanted garlic fried rice) was your average fried rice with soy sauce and a little bit of garlic. I rank this at the bottom of the totem pole compared to other places. The Pork Sisig($15) was a mixture of pig ears, jowl, and pork belly. This is the original style of sisig which is not the kind I like. It's a texture thing. What I like is either straight up pork or pork belly. It is usually cooked on a sizzling platter along with garlic, onions, lemon juice and a fried egg on top.The Pork Bbq Inihaw($14) is marinated pork that is normally skewered and grilled while getting brushed on with a type of bbq sauce. This dish the pork was just cooked straight on the grill. Very tender and flavorful. One of my favorites. The Polabok($14) is a rice noodle dish with thick yellow orange sauce with various toppings like pork, squid, flakes, pork, chicharon, hard boiled egg, green onions and fried garlic. The Lumpia($10) are deep fried eggrolls filled with a mixture of pork, and minced veggies like celery, carrots, ginger, and garlic. Dip this certain sauces like banana ketchup, sweet n sour or sweet chili sauce for the ultimate flavor.Lastly, the star that stole the show for dessert. The Halo Halo($10) which has crushed ice, evaporated milk, red beans, white beans, macapuno strings, leche flan, coconut jellies, carmelized banana, jackfruit, red kaong, green kaong, andcondensed milk. It is topped off with ube ice cream drizzled with ube sauce. Out of all the halo halo's I have tried from numerous places, this would rank #1. As I spoke to the owner/chef Mark Hernandez, he makes his own ube ice cream, ube sauce and the bits of flan he has in it have mango. No wonder it was so good. If you are a lover of ube, this dessert has the strong flavor of it along with the rest of the ingredients as a supporting cast to finish what you would call the perfect ensemble.Service was decent. Everything is cooked to order which takes a little bit of time. Overall, if you are craving decent Filipino food, especially Halo Halo, this is the place because if you have "Halo Halo" as part of the name of your establishment, then it better be good. In this case, I feel that it is the best and have tried a whole lot of other places.Yelp 2024 Review #3930 overall

The beef bbq, siomai and palabok that I got from here was 10 out of 10! Wait was long because they make the food fresh. If you're not looking to wait I would recommend calling ahead.
