Tacos Villa

This is my favorite taco place in Chicago I wished they expanded because they have the best food in the ENTIRE CHICAGO AREA!!!!!

I am soooooo tired of cooking. I wanted Mexican food and I wanted to support a local spot I have never gone to. I decided on this 1 per my Yelp brothers & sisters positive reviews. I ordered via telephone, a nice lady answered phone, took my order & told me it'll be ready in 10 minutes. Cool. Got ready, picked up food and was in and out of spot. I ordered 3 steak tacos, an order of rice & a horchata. The steak was seasoned well. The rice was flavorful. The horchata was delicious. My partner ordered the ground beef tacos & he agreed, they were delish. I'm so glad I supported a new spot. I will definitely be back. Gracias TV!!!

Went for a first time visit! Small place, limited sitting, basically a hole in the wall. I tried their gorditas, some al pastor (pork) and the other carne asada (steak). They came with lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, and beans. They are made in front of you, all cooked from scratch. They have two salsas to complimented your dishes, red salsa being extra hot, and green salsa being a but on the mild side. Will definitely be back! Bring cash! Cash only! Because they don't accept credit cards!

I thought that this place had a nice atmosphere. The seating arrangement has a diner feel to it. I would probably get my food to go if I came back. I really enjoyed the carne asada burrito and felt that the meat was high quality. If you're in the area and crave Mexican food this place will do the trick.

I've been going to this place for over 17 years! I moved to Atlanta and EVERYTIME I leave Midway this is my first stop! They have never let me down! Mom,Pop and Son! The Sopes are to die for and you haven't had beans whipped like these ever(they taste like Mash Potatoes) hands down my favorite in Chicago!!!!

Absolutely live the steak tacos here! Hard to say but they may be my favorite! Stopped by just to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. Good price, pretty quick service, and awesome tacos. Can't wait to eat here again.

This is a small cash only spot with limited seating. I only came to cosign on how delicious the food is! I have had several items from the menu but the standout and my go to is the sope. Authentic? Check. Quality? Check. Reasonably priced? Check! My only caveat would be parking. It's definitely worth checking out. It will quickly become a favorite as it did for me!

Hole in the wall????? Hell yea..Small place with about 10 or so seats at the counter, no tables, no waiter, no fancy table cloths or silverware. Used to come here a lot, not quite sure why I stopped. About a month ago a friend who used to live here in Chicago was coming back and called me to have lunch with him. I asked him where did he want to go and he said the following:" Remember the small Mexican restaurant on the southside that has great quesadillas and killer chilaliquiles""Sorry not sure which place you are talking about" i replied.And he continiues: " the place by 63 where the people there are super nice and helpful" Dude be more specific, I said. We can go anywhere else.He wasn't going to have that: "great quesadillas and chilaliquiles, great customer service, small place by 63rd and Kedzie.Are you talking about Tacos Villa???Yes that one. So... we went there that day and he asked me to text him the address the next day.

Well I stopped at his place cuz it was open early and I wanted some tacos well the steak tacos we're pretty good the chicken was not it's a little small mom-and-pop place what I return maybe if I was hungry real hungry and had nowhere else to go

Deadass everything I've tried here (besides pork dishes) is well seasoned and consistently made good.
