I finally found a taco shop worth telling everyone about! I always say, "why can't anyone seem to season their meats?" Well, Taco Sahuaro not only seasons their meats, but they crisp their pork and slow cook their beef. Wow! What a great find! The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I would highly recommend the carnitas taco and the birria taco. The gordita looked amazing, can't wait to give it a try!

Dined in for the first time! I usually come here during the week and grab lunch to go but I was downtown this weekend and decided to stop in and have lunch. I got my usual, 2 carnitas with cilantro and the green salsa. I LOVE the green salsa. I was so hungry I got a bite in before my picture. I also got a side of rice/beans. I don't know what it is, but their rice & beans are sooo good! I also got their strawberry lemonade Agua Fresca, it was soo yummy!!! The ladies that helped me are always so friendly! They made sure they brought everything we needed at our table. There were quite a few other people/families eating and it was so nice seeing everyone enjoying their food. Just a great experience eating inside. They definitely make sure they keep the area and tables clean. I will always recommend this place for their food and now that I've had the full experience, I enjoy it so much more. Definitely give them a visit if you're reading this and have never been.

Stopped by this place for lunch with a few of our friends. We were welcomed with a warm smile and great smelling food being prepared. We ordered different varieties of tacos from tripas, chorizo, carne asada, and carnitas. All were very flavorful and the tortillas were made fresh. They also had a great flavors of agua Frescas. The mint & cucumber was my go to but also liked the cantaloupe. We actually came back the next day and ordered Togo so we can enjoy it by the pool at our airbnb

Tacos Sahuaro serves up some tasty bona fide Mexican food. When you arrive at the restaurant, you'll find an unassuming little strip mall with limited parking. (More limited parking is available if you pull around the building.)When you walk in, you'll be greeted by the sounds of Mexican folk music and a big dining room large enough to accommodate a couple more tables than already exist. The service is fast and friendly. One employee was quick to take my order and another dropped off a variety of hot sauces at the table without even being asked. You probably won't wait long for food to arrive. If you do, you can pass the time by watching one of their two TVs (only one was working on my visit) or by taking a selfie at a dedicated Selfie Wall.I ordered three tacos; one each of Birria, Asada and Carnitas. (Consommé not included.). All were served hot, though the meats were a little dry. The tortillas were light and fresh. Cucumber, lemon and carrot garnishes were a nice touch. They also offer an extensive selection of drinks.Overall, Taco Sahuaro is a good value. At $3.25 each taco, I think it's worth the price.

Was craving someone Mexican food and this place came across my feed so decided to stop by. This has to be my new fave mexican spot! I got the Gordita and on my was it soo good! The tacos were good too but not as good as the Gordita. Coming back to try their other top items which are the tostadas and the menudo. People here are really sweet and love a place that you can just order and then sit down!

Surprisingly spacious "hole-in-the-wall" Mexican offering good eats at humble prices! Tried five different types of tacos - pastor, pescado, carnitas, carne asada, and birria - and while portions are on the smaller side, would happily reorder any and all again. Appreciated the down-home flavors and efficient counter-to-table service, but this place would be even better with the addition of a self-serve salsa bar... (hint hint ;)

Maybe the best tacos I have had in Phoenix. Perfect. Run, don't walk. Tortillas were delicious. Carne was impeccable. Salsa was delectable. Service was fast and friendly. Vibe was very Mexican but I ordered mostly in English with no issue.A lot of people look for "authentic" Mexican food and I am of the opinion that Mexican food varies greatly depending on what region of Mexico. I spent a lot of my youth in Tamaulipas. And that is what these tacos remind me of. Very small chunks of beef cooked well done or charred. Meat is trimmed and cooked perfect. No fat or chewy pieces.Yes it is cooked well done, which is exactly how they did it in Mexico my entire youth. If you want a rare ribeye, this isn't it. If you want amazing street tacos reminiscent of absolutely authentic Mexican street food, look no further.Taco boys was previously my fave in the area. Sahuaro is a solid 10-15 minute drive away from me but definitely beats taco boys. Looking forward to showing some friends.

A hole in the wall, yet very clean and very tasty tacos. We had carnitas, carne asada, chorizo and fish. All were very good and the handmade corn tortillas were light and not crumbly the way the purchased ones can be.The food took a little while to come out which is a good sign as it was fresh. The also brought out freshly sliced cucumbers and pickled carrots and jalapeños. Two sauces in squeeze bottles added to the bright flavors, a lighter jalapeño sauce and an orange color fiery one. They have the menu on a digital display and it also rotated pictures of menu items in the lower right corner which made us want to try the flour tortilla quesadillas and the beef birria. We noticed they have chilies relleno too which we hope to try in the future.

Great hole in the wall place. Tried 3 tacos (pescado, tripa, and birria). Never tried tripa before and the bits were smoky and slightly chewy. The sauces had good heat to them as well. The pickled veggies and lime were also nice additions. I also tried the cucumber and chia drink which was delicious, refreshing, and not overly sweet.
